- Welcome into the Blue Collar Golf Sim Channel, I'm Spike and would like to share my unboxing experience with the New Square Golf Launch Monitor with you all today. I received it on Monday exactly 7 days from when it was ordered. This is a show me video, it is all about first impressions and build quality you can feel in your hands. I am very impressed with the physical unit, and it's operation which I will be sharing in the future videos coming out. Coming from the Garmin world, this is a big step up. I have an affiliate link for Square Golf launch Monitor.

@@JosephQuatmann I don’t think anyone has them yet. I ordered mine from England hot here in 7 days
Until someone comes out with a camera based launch monitor, without any subscription/credits deal attached, then it's going to be "No thanks" from a huge majority of people me included. Someone will do it (is working on one) and it will corner the market.
once the connector is made, it will be on for sure. I know they can make it work l,
I am told!
@@FrugalFixerSpike The issue will be if you still need to buy credits, to play GSPRO? There's a guy (Joe Lagowski has a video about him on his RUclips channel) working on building a camera based monitor that won't require any subscription fees. That's what people want. I wouldn't mind paying £2k for a launch monitor that doesn't tie me into a subscription.
I fear you will likely never buy a LM, ...or maybe anything ever again. The whole world is subscription based nowadays. Plus, all these mid-range LMs are 1) essentially prototypes and 2) sold at a loss. The outcome is that the manufacturers need to do some sort of subscription to recoup revenue and fund updates.
@@andytaw The cameras in most optical LMs are the same as you'd find in a mid range android phone, with freely available to download DSLR shutter speed software. You can even pick up infrared cameras for less than £100 nowadays. The profit margin on those things is huge. I have a D780 that cost £1k, but I don't pay to take pictures. The whole LM subscription model is based on manufacturers taking advantage of a customer base they perceive to be affluent. It won't last long as there's a huge gap in the market. You'll see.
@@andytaw True, The Mevo Plus has no subscription, If it was a better LM then it would be the best buy for LM's, I have mine working fine, but you need loads of space to use it, so that's 90% of the UK market out. I'd be happy to pay $100 a year to play GSPro 3rd party. The UK needs a Camera based LM for under £1000, the company that ends up making it would clean up.
