I really wish they just add the projection mapping onto the hitting area for the falcon, but no, they charge you $11k for the separate equipment called the "focus"!
I have the ProTee VX and don't have to put stickers on my clubs. I think it has the most features for the cost of it. Hard to beat it for value. Can also putt and chip on it which wasn't that great on the Mevo Plus.
I think the biggest difference is the premiere accuracy you’re paying for with the falcon. I haven’t hit on the protee but saw carls place video and it seemed to be pretty off a good amount of the time.
@@GolfBusters I started with the Mevo Plus and still have it, but haven't used it other then some testing I did awhile back between the 2 units. They were very close on full shots. I'm not sure on the Carl's place video as I couldn't find anything on their channel, but if it was quite awhile ago, they have released numerous firmware updates to make it even better. Keep in mind it's only a year old so will get even better with time and I would say it's at a point where it's very good. I would say the one measurement that can be a bit off especially with the high lofted clubs is angle of attack. I've seen improvements with this with the firmware updates and expect it to get even better. I've seen Facebook posts of someone comparing the VX to a GC3 and they were very close. For the price, it's hard to beat for what it offers. I'm sure the Falcon is slightly more accurate but you are also paying double the price. Looking forward though to seeing you guys put it through its paces. Hopefully you can get your hands on a ProTee VX at some point and see how it compares.
@@mikeneronI’ve had the Protee VX for just under a year now. Amazing unit, updates keep coming and now with the swing cam integration in the works it just keeps getting better. That Carls Place video in question is old, many updates since then.
@@BogeysBackyardGolf I have the ProTee VX and got it on release and you are right with your comment in my opinion. I love it and my yardages are dead on for me.
As an indoor device the falcon is the top of the line. Apogee and trackman are just barely below. Reminder trackman just got into camera based devices last year with the IO. Apogee actually has the most features of all the devices, so from an enjoyment perspective I might pick apogee.
@@GolfBusters I know that the PGA superstore by my house in Ft. Lauderdale is switching from the older generation GC Hawk launch monitors from Foresight and not upgrading to this model and instead going completely over to the new Trackmans at all their locations.
Any way you can get a qcquad to test against? Thats what i'm waiting to see before buying one or the other. I've heard pretty bad things about falcon chipping which is why i'm going away from Mevo although i heard the falcon may have been fixed.
Correct, you still get the best ball and club data with club stickers on the apogee but it’s nice to have the option for when friends are over. Falcon a tiny bit more accurate on ball data from initial testing
I still have the mevo +, I know you started with that. What are your thoughts between the mevo + and the falcon? Is it really worth the extra 15k over the mevo +?
I would still recommend the Mevo+ for a group of people. Nearly the same amount of data accessible to everyone without stickers. Less accurate on shot snaps but overall still very close. The falcon is a device you get if you have the money to blow and want the best of the best.
I would choose the falcon because I’m a lefty and you don’t have to move it and being out of the way is nice so you don’t have to worry about kids or balls knocking into it. Same Device essentially besides how their mounted
Debating, I will miss all the data and features everyone gets with those other devices. You can get it on the falcon but I’m not gonna take the time to put stickers on everyone’s club.
Hey bro, I am about to buy one, My room is 4.15m Wide but with walls either side... 13.7ft.. Whats chances of me hitting back wall with back swing for left and right and players
Hey! The hitting area is so wide that you will be good. You want preferably 15 feet of width but since you can effectively hit 3 feet right or left of center line you’ll have more than enough room! Remember code GolfBusters10 should save you $750 when you buy!
The righties in your group are going to have to hit off the blue carpet to get club data. Big downside of the Falcon - the dead zone hitting area in the middle for club data. But for ball data only, the hitting area is huge. And one thing that is disappointing is the green physics. No way a 12200 spinny wedge doesn't zip back a lot. Yours barely moved.
As a Quad owner for about 5 years Im still thinking about going to the Falcon. I saw you mentioned that your club ball location data seemed low vs what you thought. That is actually known to where foresight tells you to place the middle stickers. Lower them about 2 groves and you get much better accuracy to where the ball hit the club otherwise it always shows location on the low side. AskGolfNut also talks about it here. ruclips.net/video/gqylNIizn6g/видео.html
@yoric7200 from a merchant standpoint, that would be a nightmare. they would have to decide: 1. what type of projector? LCD, laser? 2. what resolution? 3. what would people want? 4. who would "not" buy it cause they like to get their "own" projector. a. if they put a cheap projector, that would be a nono for some, and if they put an expensive projector, that would also be a nono for some. 5. they would have to "outsource" the their parts to another 3rd party. it's like buying a TV with built in home theater 5.1 audio receiver. that would be a headache.

Love the features of that system. Very cool breakdown
It seems that you will hit the overhead device with the ball rebound. Do you think it needs a cover for the side facing the impact screen?
Nope! These things are built to handle hits like that.
Did you mount this the full 10-12 feet from the screen? Im afraid of lofted clubs going beyond the top of the screen
Would you be so kind to advise the make /model & place to purchase the projector mount you show on your video?
Check out our how to build a simulator video! We have a link to everything in there.
How far is your hitting mat from screen? Did you feel like you were going to hit the falcon with the 60?
10.5 feet, never once crossed my mind, and that thing is built to take hits.
How does it compare to the apogee or the trackman io?

Do you think i can bring the falcon closer than the recommended distance from the screen? say an extra foot?
Yes! Distance to screen won’t matter to much.
Did you have any troubles with chipping? There have been lots of reports of issues there but supposedly has gotten better with firmware updates.
Have had no issues with chipping

I’ve had no issues chipping, the falcon is supposed to be the quad in an overhead model
Great video 🙌🏼
Thanks Mitch!
hows the falcon going now that you are a few weeks in? any reasons to question accuracy ?
Accuracy is spot on, still some issues with the 60 but like I said all their other devices don’t have that issue so I’m sure it will get patched soon
Doesn’t apogee do the same thing with out placing targets on the club and is also voice command with a cheaper price

I’m making my mat slightly wider and it works fine for everyone. I use gspro the most so green physics are the same across all devices.
Would be neat to see how it compares with Trackman IO
Would love to do some videos with Trackman but they haven't seemed to interested when I reached out!
Cost of your entire setup from begining to end with the falcon added on ?
I’m gonna do a video on it soon! If you count the pcs and camera equipment we’re probably getting close to 100k. Now
Between $21-25k
Is it more accurate than Full Swing?
