This reminds me of the trains in NYC until they cleaned them up in the late 80s early 90s I love art and miss seein these in NYC subways everyday,one thing though I have seen Austrailas subway system in person a few times and never saw graffiti I actually was happy to see it clean very beautiful subway system you Aussies have.You guys do everything to perfection
Unfortunately the government worked to clean it all up in the early - mid 2000s, so you missed out. Now there's more surveillance and more cops at stations than ever before to stop violence so it makes it even more difficult. A dead artform. Oh well, at least we still got graffiti covering buildings, some magnificent art there.
Still respect the stuff today, but it's just that i don't ever see crews of mates chillin at stations like they should be, catching trains all day every day, meeting up with no mobile phones, no computers. They are nearly all clean unfortunately. Just find your crew, and if you couldn't you'd catch trains until you found em. Somehow this all died in the early 90s. I actually miss seeing trains roll through covered in graffiti. We're a city who prides ourselves for street art, and cleaning up the graffiti on trains makes me sad. When I was a kid we used to live by the train tracks and used to see them come past and check out all the graffiti. As another guy said in the comments, it's like NYC.
mate props for putting this vid up, all melbourne graffers shud keep doing panels because eventually DSG will realise they cant keep taking trains out of service to clean them. dont be disheartened by getting buffed!!!!! take ur photo and go again the next day!!!

@madrx2 The other reason it was packed was the service before was canceled. The reason one train was pulled and the next was delayed was that someone had graffiti bombed both trains in the yard rendering one unusable (the canceled train) and one late (the train in question) after a quick clean up.

The reason the passenger was ill was that she passed out. The reason she passed out was that the train was packed to the rafters. The reason it was packed to the rafters was that it was late, and had picked up a lot of passengers normally on the next scheduled train.
If you were struggling to get a run up in 00 you must have been a slow runner. All the trains looked ultra clean to me. Like the youth were spending too much time kickin back and not enough time devoted to graf. Late 80's early 90's was the shit when a dozen crews went on a 6 year rampage. This all started winding up around 93. The effort in getting up seemed to die a fair bit after that. There were always many teams of transits here there and everywhere in the late 80's. Shit wasn't easy then.

'Graffiti' is art, just an uunderground form of which it's like people these days sadly confuse graff crews with gangs, writing isn't meant to have any violence at all its a peacful protest people that graff now just think its "gangster" its not! anyways I agree with you in full BigJim
