Thanks for posting. Ex SAAF/SAA pilot here. Have lived in the USA for 25 years. As a kid, used to do Cape Town to Salisbury by train for the holidays. Have always loved trains. 2 and a half years to go to retirement. Fly for a major US airline. Groete!!
@@beenthere7962 Your welcome, great to hear from you in the USA. Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
@@jacomarais1976Thanks again Jaco! I really enjoy your videos!!
Cool video weereens Jaco😎goeie angle by net onder 5minute. Dankie goeie videos
@@jacqueso8424 baie dankie my Maat. Ek probeer maar verskillende angels, somtyds wêrk dit nogal goed uit 😉😉
Great video. Please tell me what those sparks are above one of the trains and what does it mean ? Thanks
@@abisheknepaul7785 Thank you my friend. Those sparks are from the section isolator at the substation. It's normal when the train draws a lot of amps on a uphill. Because we use 3000V DC current here, it usually arc like this.
Oh ok thank you my friend 🙂
@@abisheknepaul7785 your welcome my friend
Daai cement trein ry nogal vinnig! Seker mos leeg! Mooi video Jaco!
@@theovanstaden5766 korrek my Maat, hy het hom goed gelooi. 💪💪
Are the tracks switched manually or by a computer or something/ automatically?
@@JameelGulam10 They are switched by computer. CTC (central traffic control) control the traffic here on the NATCOR mainline.
