@@johnnyeveritt5695 Belive me, the NATCOR mainline between Johannesburg and Durban is one of the busiest mainlines in SA. I have captured up to 15 trains on a day, that's daytime only. They really picked up the traffic here.
@@winco68 baie dankie my Maat. Die blou 18E is die 18E series 1 en die rooi 18E is die 18E series 2. Al verskil is die sagteware op hulle rekenaars. Hulle kan saam wêrk, geen probleem. Die series 2 het net n maar soos hulle in engels sê n advance system.
@@jacomarais1976 Agh baie dankie vir die inligting Jaco. I left SA in the early ‘90s when it was mainly 6E1s on the mainline. I thought there is a resemblance to the 18E but i didn’t know the 6E has been converted to 18E! Die ingenieurs het ‘n fantastiese werk gedoen om die loko’s op te gradeer.

If i may ask , how much of weight can 1 locomotive pull ? 🙂
@@abisheknepaul7785 the class 18E locomotives can pull up to a 1000 tons comfortably. There overhead power supply is 3000V DC current.
