      Regardless, it's responsible education to recommend things that we have quality evidence for, rather than anecdotes that can be harmful, unless there's very good reasoning behind it and it's made clear what the current evidence is.
      Plus, we do have evidence that the ingredient works, it's just that in this form we also know it comes with added risks that make it less ideal compared to other ways of using the ingredient. That's all she's saying.
      Plenty of people experience these things from doing this. Lots of hairy tongue. Lots of people with pain in their gums, etc. not everyone, though.

    A doctor told my sister-in-law to put If I remember correctly, 3 drops of 3% into a glass of water and drink. This was for a yeast infection. Which did go away. I told my dentist that I put some in my mouthwash and she encouraged it. Who's right??? Who do we believe? As far as I know, there are two types of peroxide. Food grade and non-food grade. I've used both and still do. I've used non-food grade for many years. I was told this is not the best to be using. It did help with some mouth sores and cuts. Not sure if it did anything for the teeth but it was only 3%. As of late I've been using food-grade peroxide and I put some in my oral mouth rinse as well as my mouthwash. The rinse I use here and there. I leave it in around 10 min. when I decide to use it. I have noticed a difference in the whiteness of my teeth. Brushing longer should help as well. A dentist assistant in Mexico told me for whiter teeth to brush longer than two min. He said that it takes about 2 min. for the teeth to open up to allow something for whitening. I know nothing about this but I do have a friend that brushes for 15 min. and his teeth are very white. We all can't have perfect white teeth. It's just the way things are. I don't know if using this peroxide is good or bad for your health or not. I've heard both sides and they seem to disagree with what the others say.

    • @deanstewart8727
      @deanstewart8727 8 месяцев назад +2

      My sister-in-law's doctor said the same thing for yeast infection. It seemed to work. As for the word... "formulated" is that always a real thing, or a sales pitch? Kind of like, lite, or diet. Not always the case. I've been using stronger peroxide on my teeth for a while now mixed with mouthwash. Be careful... it will burn if the mixture is a little strong. I think it's better to have less but leave it in a little longer if you can. Yes, it has really helped with the whitening. I leave it in for around 10 min. but not every day. It also helps with any cankers or mouth sores. My dentist said she didn't know what I was doing but whatever it is, to keep doing it. She was happy with my gums and pockets between the teeth. I don't brush more than twice a day. She also said a smart thing to do is use a water pump to clean between the teeth and under the gums. It's supposed to help a lot with plaque. Or so she says.

      But what if like, you're stranded in the middle of the desert where's there's just no water available to dilute the peroxide?
      And you were like "man my teeth are grotesquely discolored due to me being stranded in the middle of this water-starved desert and living off of consuming, initially, random objects I find out there in the wastelands, then my left shoe, then some camel poop I found, and then my right shoe. I can't take it any longer! In whitening my teeth so that when I finally find the exit to this living searing hell, people will be 'daaaaamn Gina! Look at almost desert-killed dude's pearly white smile? Im so super hot and I'm also so glad he didn't desert-die. Lets go show him our naked bodies as a reward and put our hot chick naked boobs all over that really super awesome dude. because that's what good hot chick earth humans do, without a doubt because it's a scientific fact so there would be no reason to ever ask anyone else or try to look into it any further, especially if their name rhymes with Dunk FigBuckets.
      ' Lets go boob-smother him, medium sized group of super hot chick friends! Wheeee!'" and they're all doing exactly that for a few days andninforget all about being thirsty and needing water, but maybe its all a mirage...but obviously not. And then I guess it could really go anywhere from that point so it'd be a tad irresponsible to assume.
      It also turms out I have completely forgotten my original question which was why I wandered in here off the streets as I have to begin with, like some common cur. So I can only assume with an air of infallibility that it is ok to guzzle hydrogen peroxide in between meals of ones shoe without any negative consequence. Because, boobs. Super hot chick boobs. And I'll just leave everyone with that.
      Mainly because I don't remember what the hell i WAS going to say. Just mention boobs and my whole brain shuts down like some abort button in my head....

      Actually mouthwash in general is pretty rough on your mouth-al health I've read. Akdnyoure correct in assuming that it kills everything off on there. And in some instances I've read that in fact it could even do more harm than good or be counteractive to what some are using it for to begin with. If you're using it to orevent bad breath, the alcohol content dries your mouth out and kills off everything in there, which will keave a bad taste and eventually odor emanating from your face hole. So that's the opposite of what they wanted. We'll just call that outcome a "shitty Christmas," NOT to be confused wiht he sex act of the same name. Moving on...
      Oh. Oops. Lol I guess that was it. So... court adjourned. 🧐

    The enamel on a tooth is actually clear. Now hydrogen peroxide, whether it comes in a toothpaste tube or out of a bottle, does the same thing; it erodes the outer honeycomb-like structure of the dentin - the middle layer of the tooth (between the enamel and the pulp), and makes up the majority of the tooth's structure).
    Hydrogen peroxide is actually like a "chemical peel" for the skin, except for the teeth - very damaging!
    Dentin itself can be gray to black, but usually appears as a pale yellow. It is mineralized with calcium. The best way to get white and healthy is through reminderalization , NOT by using damaging hydrogen peroxide!
    The healthy way to superior white teeth:
    1. A mineral toothpaste, Or a toothpaste that has "enamel repair".
    2. Zylitol gum. Chewing Xylitol gum increases the salivary flow rate and the oral pH. As you know, your saliva is rich in calcium and phosphate. An increased amount of saliva paired with an alkaline oral environment creates a combination ideal for promoting enamel remineralization.
