Please listen to Kakurenbo (Hide & Seek), Dry Flower, and Onigokko (Tag) all on the first take and all from Yuuri. All these three songs have a story all connected to each other. Kakurenbo being the first one, Dry Flower being the sequel, Onigokko being the trilogy of the whole thing!!
He has a live performance of Betelguese available on his channel which he performed at a festival. Yuuri also uploads acoustic versions of almost all of his songs where his vocals really stand out. I recommend Kagome piano ver. and Leo on the first take.

While we are the the topic of japanese... I would recommend Dir En Grey, a metal band out of... well Japan, with a very excellent vocalist and of course very skilled musicians as well. Maybe with their song Diabolos. It's a song that displays their full range fairly well. There should be a few live performances of it out on the RUclips, even one or two with subtitles for the lyrics.
Would link one, but that does at times come off as sus... so I wont. 😂
Or Different Sense by them... banger. Decayed Crow is pretty intense as well, maybe not a first listen 🤣... Or Obscure, pretty nice live version from Wacken on that one (do not do the music video, it's not PG 🤣) .. Or Vinushka live, also a song that displays their full range very well... Quite frankly there's alot of excellent songs, and getting them "react" time is challenging due to the whole "not english lyrics" thing. Or just getting ones recommendation heard in a sea of recommendations 🤣.
Either way, very theatrical band and muscially talented, I think they would be enjoyed.

I'm surprised she hasn't reacted to Ado who is considered to be one of the best Japanese singer in the world right now. Ado, she is definitely the top tier in the world right now not just Japan. Her live song "Odo". That live version is incredible. Self taught? Never heard someone sing like that before.
