It's funny that 3xosc looks basic and most people likely gloss over it buuuut it really delivers because it makes designing sounds stupidly simple and using effects in patcher and such can make 3x osc like a modular synth powerhouse if you use it to your advantage
Best ad I’ve ever seen. Also, dope tutorial. I love tutorials that disprove the myth that you need to buy amazing plugins and gear to make good music. (Still love serum though it’s my favorite)
Dude, you just blew my mind. TBH, some of the tutors even struggle to make sounds like this in Serum and here you are making fire with 3xOSC. THANK YOU for all these free classes, you're helping producers like me who can't afford to go to music school. You, In the mix and simon servida are BEST.
I've been sitting and watching this video for a while and I have to say this is such a fantastic video for people who are just getting started and maybe seem a little overwhelmed with serum or other bigger plug-ins. This is a great way to learn the basics. But even then this is also a great alternative if you want a quick route from point A to point B. I either way you earned a new fan. Thanks for this wonderful video dude. Now you got me rethinking my channel LMAO
@Sleage Yeah, but the interface is very similar. Same with the overall sounds. They are basically the same. Sytrus is just cheaper to get which makes it better.
This just deserved a sub lol. Like I've been using 3xOSC a lot due to its simplicity, but I never thought of it like this... Just got inspired to screw around even more now lol. You just proved to be the SeamlessR of 3xOSC 😎
Yo, thanks for making this video! I had no idea how awesome 3x OSC could sound! I never even thought to open up the additional effects options to set LFOs and X/Y mods. I was definitely sleeping on that entire section of sound design options. Even if i never use 3x OSC (except I totally will!!!) you really up'ed my sound design game. Thanks man. Oh, btw Dubai was LIIIIIITTTT!!!! lol
Yooooo I mostly use 3xosc for most of my sounds but NEVER thought I could use it to make a cool Dubstep sound!! Love the work man!!! N im already subbed, followed on Spotify n Insta!! High hopes for u man!! Keep it up!!
My curiosity really made me find gold I was like "what can people do with 3xosc besides cheap white noise and sub bass?" turns out you can be Skrillex Subscribed
I've been noticing this trend where several producer channels are making tutorials on how to make basic synths with enough DSP.. I know I learned how to make some crazy reese bass from simple saws after watching one, so keep up the good job. Maybe I'll do some similar video myself some day..
@@breadjambread1517my guess is that they think that learning how to use a multiband compressor is too hard for them and they think if they put it on there plugins/sounds they'll sound like virtual riot but last time I checked vr didn't leave OTT default lol
Ive had several label releases with just 3x osc as my synth for all my leads , basses and pads ...ive put it up against almost every major softsynth and it held its own . I own almost 30 softsynths and i still reach for 3xosc .
@@iamverysurpisedthati of course it does, it's a synthesizer that relies heavily on post processing why wouldn't it come with every tool any basic DAW already has? 😂🤷♂️
The UI of Serum alone is worth it imo. No other subtractive synth I've used is nearly as intuitive and capable at creating very interesting and musical sounds and have it be "fun" to do so. That said, 3xOsc is a beast. Absolutely a capable workhorse synth in the box.
The first part of that riser (without the rising effect) sounds like the synth Virtual riot used in the beginning of Energy Drink with automation This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing!!
If you been using FL and sleeping on this plugin go ahead and take your L.
I'm rethinking my whole sound design series.... excellent video
In The Mix lol that’s how I feel when I watch your tutorials.
@@AnotherMonster legends are here 😎. I love all your tutorials (Asher, In The Mix, Another Monster)
Now everything stops to make sense...
Nahhhh you’re videos slay!! You’re super great at explaining concepts in detail.

3x Osc is criminally underrated.
It's funny that 3xosc looks basic and most people likely gloss over it buuuut it really delivers because it makes designing sounds stupidly simple and using effects in patcher and such can make 3x osc like a modular synth powerhouse if you use it to your advantage
I love that it has low cpu usage because I can make crazy jungle pads with like 12 notes and it takes up maybe 2% of my cpu at most
Nobody:
3xOSC: *I'm about to end Serum's whole career*
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Not funny

@@digitalbakazan3519 agreed with your statement due to the comments i guess
but still relatable
damn, that deadmau5 pluck in the end...chills man, literal chills!

I see Deadmau5 mentioned in a comment, I leave a like. Simple as that.
@Eternal Rambler 🙄🙄
3xOsc beats Serum.. Life is completed now
This made me very moist Asher, because I can afford 3x Osc!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
"The Veldt" synth plucks were absolutely spot on. Great job, man.
Omg I've never thought of this one , I've only used 3x for Sub bass😄
lol same here

Woah that's awesome. Didn't expect that much from 3xosc. Very nice video!

That twisted "Mario" sound at 0:29, though. Putting that together ASAP!
10 months and no one's mentioned the Napoleon Dynamite reference lol, I love it. That coupled with some deadmau5 earns a like and respect
If I know that I can make a specific sound on 3xosc then I use it. Its just faster to work with simple synths compared to the fancy synths.
Make dope sounds using only stock plugins! (And OTT. But that's basically stock, right?)

Thanks for that motivation, btw i realy like your song Going To The Sun
Thanks!!
3x Osc is amazing. I've created some crazy stuff with it myself. But I absolutely swear by it for my subs.
Yooo I never thought you could do all that with that 3xOsc! Thanks Asher! Now just because of you I have learnt how to make dusbtep

Excellent video! Thanks Asher for all the tips, we appreciate you ❤️
With the first one, it sounds a lot better when you add a transient processor and turn the attack down a little
You don't mess with the Stock Plugin King... I never thought 3x Osc could do that...
Just checked out your cloud and your track "Say" is hitting my heart on another level bro. Killer work 🙌👌 definitely got a follow from me

As a sound engineer I approve this video.
Showing how you love mau5 song and saying "you can replace serum with 3xOsc" goes at perfect balance
Actually the fruity wave shaper does the whole thing
Already my most used plug in, using something limited brings out the creativity in some
