you made my heart so happy. No one ever thinks about us. The ones that are disabled and can't do a lot of things other people can. It's hard to get a electric wheelchair into a river. When you mentioned the disabled, it made me so happy to know that we're not always just in the background. Where most people want us to be. Unseen unheard. You're not supposed to make me cry like this. L o l thank you.
I have been hooked lately lol. I even got 2 beginners bags and a kit and had a blast panning it out and sorting through the stone and gems with my grandkiddos. Between both pouches I got .55 of a gram. I saved all of the dirt and big stones to go through them again as this was my first time.
@Emeraldwitch30 I've been super tempted to start. I have beginner pans and classifiers in my shopping cart lol Susquehana river is 40 minutes from me in PA which allegedly has a little bit of gold.
Well all you need now is GOLD and gold pans and gold sluice's and stuff !!!! Which I have for sale only cuz Im getting to old to do it!!! So hit me up if your looking for stuff
@Emeraldwitch30 If you like the idea of gem-discovery bags (no gold, much cheaper!), I have been thinking of making some up, as I have over a dozen examples of gems and stones as well as copper and other metal bits that would be a fun experience to sort out, I think.
I love how you have stated what paydirt bags are for thousands of times (training/fun) and been completely transparent to the point of OCD on this topic and still the "aCKHually .." guys show up every time.
I found this channel right before Christmas and I have now watched about half the backlog of older videos. My favorite part of the review videos is watching the gold be uncovered at the last of the panning. Can’t wait to see where you end up at in NC, Shane! Take care, man.
Hey, @klesh! I just recently started watching paydirt videos, and I really appreciate the formula for your videos. You have made a truly relaxing and digestible RUclips channel. You made something awesome for yourself and your viewers. Happy New Year!
Aloha! Yup, some of us are more than a couple hundred miles from a auriferous tract; I’m a couple THOUSAND miles away and the closest other state to us is California ;-) You’re one of my favorite vendors (because not only am I far from the gold fields, but I’m a teacher, so I dont have money to waste on vendors like Felix ;-) thanks for the info, you’ve steered me clear of a few disappointments for sure, and have never been one yourself!)
Huge difference between spending $100 for a bag with only $50 in gold for the fun of panning, and $1000 a bag with only $500 in gold. There is not much cost difference for the seller, and justifying a $500 loss for fun would just seem to sour the experience.
Not if you got money to burn and enjoy the process. It's a hobby, some people like putting fuzzy dice and badges on their car because that's what they can afford to invest, and some people like to put in a 10000 motor they barely get half their investment back on when they sell it. I don't see a difference if you really enjoy the process. I mean I never would, but to each their own.
good job Klesh...from one of your earliest subscribers...felix gold...a sophisticated marketing operation, and a good one..thats all..does not matter what product..well done dude
Shane, as always a great job on the video!! Happy New Year! After a year of only detecting I'm hoping the leg is in better shape this year and I can get back to panning up in NoCal on the river! Cheers
Semper Fi dude ! Keeping things honest !!! Love it And there’s reasons why people enjoy videos like this - don’t ask - is what it is And they are great
After watching for years whenever I'm out panning I hear the music in these videos. Makes me want to buy another paydirt pack to have some fun in the cold months
Cheers Shane. Good to see an equal outcome for the real and decoy batches of paydirt. Looking forward to seeing all of the adventures from your upcoming roadtrip. I just got back from a trip to Europe and spent some time in Paris. It's your fault I was paying un-natural attention to the sidewalks outside of the jewellery stores (and wishing I had a vacuum cleaner). 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had only just started watching the episode when I wrote this comment Don’t you worry about the haters, the rest of us really appreciate you and everything you do! ❤
I just take the kitchen strainer and a turkey baster with me when i go panning. A kitty 🐈 litter 💩 scoop works well too. Or, even cheaper, garage sales & thrift or second hand stores will have a selection of large metal strainer style serving spoons, so perfect. Thank-you for the review and posting.
Just subbed. Found your channel courtesy of the algorithm, and I gotta say I'm hooked. We'll produced, fun to watch, and informative. Keep it up bud. ❤
klesh out of all the channel i watch, 42% to make it to the end is astronomically higher than any others ive seen. congrats on that as viewer retention on many channels sits around the 15% mark.
I appreciate your comparisons on the bags. I got scammed by one vender on Amazon. There was literally 2 fly poop size pieces of gold in the bag. I can, (and have) in total truth exceed that by just panning the material in my back yard. I hope your 2 sets of bags were purchased at different times, and shipped to different towns.
love your videos, i dont do panning but i buy gold coins, my hobby is painting minitures but i love watching someone elses passions and hobbies. great videos and all the best for 2025. cant wait for more paydirts.
Great job addressing the ignorant people who are hating on ya man. That thoughtful explanation really highlights everything that they don’t understand. It’s just a fun product! Maybe gimmicky, yes. But so aren’t many things that people buy and get no returns at all on. Anyways, you gonna get some magnetite forged into a sword or katana or something wicked?👀 that would make for such a cool video lmao
Hi Shane thanks for these videos there fun to watch and informative I thank you because I am one of the folks that can't get out like I used to so these help me steer clear of the dishonest sellers o and on my plastic cup on my magnet I put an o ring when I pull it up out of the cup the o ring stops the magnetic sand again thank you the vids Chris the porch miner
I just moved to a state with zero gold from northern ca where I was 20 mins from where gold was discovered in ca and had 5 major gold bearing rivers within 20 mins from my house. The struggle is real when you can’t go get gold so thank you klesh because unless I travel to a different state 15 hours this is the only way I can get gold
Thanks for explaining some of the people's negative comments with your feedback. Before an hour ago I had no idea this was even a thing people do, and that clarified it quite a bit. I was wondering if it was a type of gambling venture or something, makes so much more sense as a hobby!
I am both disabled and in Idaho, so we have a small window to prospect safely. So pay dirt keeps us busy when we are snowed in, or the Bears are eating people. Thanks for all your great videos.
This is what I do. I’m buying paydirt so I can keep the fire inside me, until I get back to my country and prospecting and panning everywhere with no problem!🤘🏻
I would suggest two small towns of Libby and Troy Montana as a stop along your 2025 journey. The Kootenay (Kootenai) River runs through this part of Montana, lots of shore access to the river. The Kootenay rolls through Canada and the US. I was born in Libby and it is know for their bald eagle population. There are a number of hiking only access lakes, creeks rivers and falls. They also offer guided tours of the Libby Dam, the only U.S. Dam part of Columbia River Treaty with Canada. The CRT led to the construction of four dams: three in British Columbia and one in Montana. On the outlet side of the dam you can see adolescent bald eagles learning to fish. It really is a beautiful part of Montana. I know of one recreational gold panning area called the Libby Creek Rec Gold Panning. Also, I believe there is something call the Central Montana Prospecting Coalition that you could reach out too to get some other spots to pan. ***Military fact*** Army Solider Arthur "John Rambo" was from Libby Montana, and you can see his name on the Veterans Memorial in Libby.
Hey David thanks for those leads, i'll add them to my map! I have your Colorado flag with paratroopers front and center in my shop, you can see it on my other channel if ya like!
It’s a fun hobby is why. I don’t mind losing a little money if it’s guaranteed paydirt. Like you said, I live very far away from gold rich grounds. Love watching your content. Keep up the good work!

I have bought pay dirt from Klesh before as we don't have a place to get it in KY. Also I was able to pan a bit out with my son and show him how to do it. It was a fun father and son experience.

Meh, forget the haters Shane. I'll keep watching your vids. Still want to go pan for a day with you or go crystal hunting. I'd watch your guitar channel more but, I'm about tapped on time for this year...With a mortgage and two jobs besides running a RUclips channel myself...and posting materials on eBay/Etsy just to pay the bills. Why paydirt>? Well, I figure it's about something you love doing and don't have the time atm. Guaranteed amount of gold...well that's better than what you can get after expenditures on equipment, fuel, food, and time to go out...with no guarantee ...let them figure it out. I'd be buying bullion if I wasn't buying paydirt. LOL. Glad someone is doing honesty tests. Thanks for all your content! Peace brother and Happy New Years.

@2:47 - Let me sum this up in basic "me" terms. A year and a half or more ago I bought some paydirt from a couple of companies. I ended up with 3.36 grams of gold. That gold was $65 a gram when I bought it. It's nearly $85 a gram now. I not only got the enjoyment and skill of panning it out, but I got more than the guaranteed amount and it's increased a good bit in value over that time. Seems like a reasonable effort. You're probably the reason I did it in the first place. I still stand by Gold Bay though. .187g extra in my last bag.
