Hi Tom! I studied architecture and I'm on the long road to becoming an architect. Looking at your Model and watching the vlogs, I really think you need to extend the front entrance area/entrance hall. As your family grows, I imagine it will be used quite frequently for putting shoes/coats on etc, but at the moment there really isn't that much space to do so. Putting in a small bench will help, but it will also take away floor space and make the passage between the front door and lounge/living room really quite narrow. Just imagine the front doors open, the bench being in use, but you have people exiting the lounge. It's going to be quite tight. One of the things I find in my job is that we often extend entrance halls. The entrance hall is the big welcome to your home, and if you're potentially doing an extension, it's the perfect opportunity to make it that and also help give you a little bit more space for that early morning school rush when you have kids bags flying everywhere. I know it might be tricky because of the proximity to the front drive and where you want the garage to be, but it's definitely doable and something I think you should look at.

Hey Tom, big fan of the vlogs and have been since I subscribed back in 2014! I'm really excited about the house becoming a home, as I remember watching the initial house-building vlogs all that time ago and it's nice to see the next chapter of the home and your lives. I don't mean to be officious, but I'd recommend a RUclipsr, Reynard Lowell, who's an interior designer with a Scandinavian style I think you'll both like. He has some great videos with specific tips like lighting placement and a house-to-home series where he does interior design makeovers on clients' homes for more general inspiration. The biggest tip I've personally implemented from his videos is to use lighting around the room (table lamps, floor lamps etc.) to light the room rather than overhead lights, it really makes a massive difference in making the place feel a lot more cosy and homely. I hope that helps, take care and best of luck with Jellyman!

Tom and Lydia, if you choose a green sofa you should consider to have green different places throughout the house😍 for the flow of the house. I personally love the color green, petrol green is my favorite. So i would suggest green curtains in kitchen for example because green works well with wood and brown colors like you already have. Your house is already looking more like a home, and lydia is so good at decorating. Good luck with the house👍
