@@GasGuzzlers Ford actually found that exhaust fumes would circulate back into the vehicle with the straight (normal) exhaust, so the downward exit holes help prevent that from happening.
Jeff Garrett thats really fascinating, I knew there had to be some sort of reason for that strange design quirk but you and many others have pointed out the advantages to this design. It really is amazing how much effort, engineering, and thought goes into even the simplest parts of a vehicle. Thank you for watching and thanks for commenting, have a great week! -Jake
Cole is on vacation to Yellowstone at the moment! He won’t be in the next few videos because Colin and I are working on filming videos to be released while we are in college but when he gets home he will return! Thanks for watching!
Mintygreen Hahaha indeed! I liked it more when cops used crown victorias for undercover cars, now it is hard to tell! Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving a comment, have a great week! -Jake
My god this is an awful example of a platinum. No upgraded wheels, no technology package (bigger touchscreen and upgraded sound system), no panoramic roof. Just spend the extra 2-3k it would make all the difference in the world. Anyone who buys this is literally paying $12k more than a limited for nothing other than having a V6 engine. A platinum with no options. This car is an oxymoron
Moonroof is standard on this model. I like that they give a choice of getting the premium technology package. Not everyone wants it. Personally, I'd take it. You may be better off with the standard wheels. Larger wheels tend to ride harder and many customers will be glad to save a few $$ by not getting them.
66skate this color combo with the lack of options is straight up ugly for a car at this price point. Everyone’s different but a platinum can be a real nice truck however I’m not feeling this one at all
@@liberalweirdo7886 The color combo is a mater of taste and opinion. I'd buy black, but the next customer may want white. I know the Platinum can be nice, I had a 17. The thing I feel people will like is they can get the extra power and much nicer interior without spending the extra $3k for the technology package and premium wheels if they choose not to buy those. So many people complain about the price of cars, I think it's smart to give the customer a few ways to save a little and still get a nice vehicle.
@@liberalweirdo7886 I don't like the color either, but someone will think it's perfect and buy it. The one I had was silver with black interior. The next will be black with black interior and an ST instead of a Platinum this time around.
exhausts have the holes on the bottom so that the soot from the engine doesn't blacken/ dirty the chrome exhaust tips over time :)

Why do other reviewers knock the interior. You were impressed by it.
Where is Cole?

66skate the Explorer is expensive either way lol and I get taste in colors but the interior and exterior don’t really match
