- Visiting Bistrot de Venise to try a few traditional dishes of Venice. The question you will eventually run into when having visited a number of fine dining restaurants: Who is the most important person in the restaurant - the Chef with his culinary creations and precise execution, or the Sommelier with his choices of wine for each dish, his explanations, his knowledge, his attitude and ultimately his passion?
Bistrot de Venise is a Michelin Guide Restaunt.
Having the Sommelier available to explain each dish and wine pairing made this really special to watch. Great video.
That guy really has a way with words.
It really did
Nobody eats better than Aden, he's my favorite fellow introvert.
That guy was a true professional. His knowledge and insight helped to make those dishes stand out. Looked absolutely stunning! Aden, did you leave that table a little bit tipsy huh? That was so much wine hahah.
I have to aggree with the others here. This is by far your best video. The athmosphere and the Sommelier were top notch
This guy is living the life we all dream of living 😂😂
Great to see the food being assembled while it's explained, a fantastic accompaniment.
You have no idea how much I look forward to these videos at the tasting menu restaurants. Please never stop, I need this for my well-being. I live vicariously through them.
I am blown away. This was your best yet Mr. Aden. My words will only cheapen the experience.
I truly think this channel and content could be used to contribute towards mental health via food and culinary artistry. Simply fantastic, alluring, decadent, and gorgeous.
He keeps opening bottles of wine. Do you pay for the whole bottle or only the small glass you get?
I was just thinking this. Who drinks the rest of the wine(s) once they've been opened since clearly one would be schnocked if one tried to drink it all......LOL!
Back of the house is celebrating after their shift, I'm sure!
I have the same question, someone knows what happens to the bottle when it's open? Is it served to other customers?
he's only getting one glass per bottle. restaurants typically price a single glass of wine at their cost for the bottle, so even if the rest of it doesn't sell they at least break even. but surely someone else will order the wine pairing that night and they'll go through it all.
You pay for a glass - the rest will be served to other customers that day.
It's unusual to see new bottles being opened for each glass - maybe Aden was in early at the start of the day?
@@IanH-UK A lot of restaurants only offer the better wines by the bottle. Staff will be happy to drink some unfinished bottles after their shift, it will be very appreciated. :) It's a form of tipping you could say.
I notice that they kept opening a new bottle, I wonder what they do with the rest of the bottle.
I'd imagine this was specially for the video, and that only the first customer of the day gets a fresh bottle unless someone orders it differently, or they finish the bottle. I could be wrong though, might be a whole lot of 'chef's privilege' for the staff out back. (I doubt it though)
I’m guessing he’s taking the open bottles with him.
Not only the cork was perfect - loved the cuts while he was explaining - perfect performance
좋은 영상 잘 보고 갑니다~^^
Cool looking bottle of water
Пюрешка с котлеткой гораздо вкуснее!)
at the risotto I was like 🤤 but at the dessert 🤤🤤🤤
I really like this episode. The duration was perfect and it drew me right in.
เมื่อไรจะกลับมาประเทศไทย 😀😀อาหารไทยรอคุณอยู่
that's so awesome
👃…
And the cork is perfect 👍🏼
I am confused. So he's opening a new bottle of wine for each course, is he serving it per glass for each course or per bottle because if it's the latter, the diner will be legless after consuming 7 bottles of wine?!🤣
Thought the same. Probably for the sake of the video and to highlight wines that are more interesting. I’m assuming the guy is paying and maybe being allowed to take the opened bottles with him.
Now that is classy
awesome video, living the dream...

Ngl I was very disappointed about Venice’s food, I had to go to a super fancy restaurant and pay 45€ for a plate of pasta to eat good food
Alamanci gurme yutup abone
Outstanding, and what I like most about this experience is that the wines presented are really niche, yet at super competitive prices and trying three of them they beat many of their much more prestigious competitors

No ghe xe na roba che non la fusse unica al mondo
how such a position like maitre d, or sommelier gives these people such a distinctive pride and dignity about them....because that means you are the authority of the whole house on that one thing and you take your job superseriously. also another proof that in such a place you pay for the EXPERIENCE too.
Nice lunch for €231
Wow, that was the coolest dining spot ever ... food looked amazing too.
Top tier video.
Great Service
And yet...there are beer Sommeliers.
Right and? There's countless more types of beer than there is wine, so that is much greater a skill to pair beers with food.
@@monkeytennis8861 Agreed. I was only pointing out there are beer someliers as well.
I have tried around 450 different beers myself. A young lady works at a local establishment where I live who is a beer sommelier, having had over 4,000 beers. She is on track for her Master Cicerone certification having received the Advanced Cicerone.
I take the Japanese meals any day!
So what they do with the rest of the bottles?
