I am a retired airline pilot. I have trained many a lady pilot and there are many with whom i have flown. They are second to none. We have good and bad pilots of both gender.
My advise is if you do not have a passion for sailing then better don't go. Joining only for good money is not advisable because within a short time you will be disillusioned. Remember sailing needs a lot of physical activities. Difficult but NOT impossible.
Go for it if you still have the dream.
I truly agree with your point sir. Gender discrimination and misogynist people are all around especially if you are leaving them behind but if we have the passion for this field truly then no obstacle can block the path.
And talking about physical hardwork... Most things are being taught during the training days. Obviously no one will be joining the ship without basic training and slowly but steadily one will achieve endurance

Without a course you cannot join the merchant Navy dear....there are some pre sea courses which you need to do before joining the field

Both are two different aspects but equally preferable. If you want to serve your country rather than thinking much about your own benefits and maintain a disciplined life to some other level and obviously try to look for your passion, and when your passion matches with defence you should obviously go for it!

You should know the basic english so that you can make the other person understand what you want to convey
To become a deck is it is compulsory to do IMU CET exam or gp training..?
U can do both no need of imu cet for gp rating
But if possible go for dns
GP rating and deck cadet course both are different but yes for DNS sponsorship programs it is compulsory to appear for IMUCET
