    I've got a tip for tents. Don't trust the tent to keep the light out even with good tents. Insulate your windows with plastic, then cover them with panda film using blue painters tape and put a draft stopper over the bottom of the door to the room. Then change the room lighting to green. Make the whole room light proof.

      or fuck tents alltogether??

    • @acemcplane
      @acemcplane 3 года назад +5

      @@FriendsForFriends666 I still like tents. It's way easier to control the environment with a tent and I don't want to destroy my house with humidity. My grow room is always 40-50 percent humidity even if I have my tent in the 70's and because of the dehumidifier and inline exhaust fan going outside. My grow room is a lung and the tent inside it gives me tight and safe control of VPD.

    • @FriendsForFriends666
      @FriendsForFriends666 3 года назад +1

      @@acemcplane 100% agreed brother, tents definitely work for most setups and have way more pros than cons but still if you had to use 4 4×4s, isn't cheaper, easier and more convenient to separate and isolate the whole room? ;)

    • @acemcplane
      @acemcplane 3 года назад +1

      @@FriendsForFriends666 you’d have to compare the cost. Growmau5 did a really good how to setup a grow room video that was really proper. To avoid mould you need to tear out all your gyp rock, spray this special spray over everything, redo your floor like a laboratory floor which is really expensive, etc. If you actually want to run those high humidities, you need to do all that. I wouldn’t be comfortable doing it at all without doing all of that and the ceiling so personally my overzealousness about safety would probably make it cost too much. Also running the whole room would mean you lose the lung room effect you get with an outside area surrounding the tent. Since I’m in a cold climate, that provides insulation and prevents humidity from forming anywhere you can’t see because you can run a big dehumidifier outside of the tents while keeping higher humidities inside. Just so many long term house safety reasons make me lean towards tents. A grow room would be sick though.

    a long comment, few things...
    1: grow tents - a must for beginners in small spaces, provides control and nowadays less than 100$ get you something workable. big open grow rooms work better for 24on autoflower runs (as final size may vary and 8x8+ tents are super expensive and starts to be more value in sealing the whole room).
    2: lights leaks - have to check very carefully. had tape on an adaptor to cover a small light but with time and humidity lost its stickiness and fell off... noticed a few days later into week 5 flower... 8x8 full of seeds... 5+months down the drain :(
    3: equipment preferences - like, asking Messi what's the best football shoes? :P whatever fits your specifics bro. which are unique (room size, bills, noise, temps, ppms and CO2 etc.)
    the end :) much love everyone ;)

    It's like corporate cannabis and a majority of social influencers use their influence to control the market on cannabis especially when it comes to home grow craft of cannabis. Majority will say why waste time and money when you can get it sealed in a package. That's the gimmick. You are buying a package of bud that could be anything, as compared to you growing your own better than getting your bud from a distributor that got his bud in a colorful package(the advertising gimmick). Thank you for another great show fellaz.

Used some duct tape to cover it up and was ready to go. My first grow I couldn't get anything past the seedling phases. My 2nd grow I went with a Space Bucket. I threw a 3 to 2 prong adapter on the cord plug of the light, breaking the ground circuit and got rid of the glow.

So we got 3 tents( 3×3) 4 plants in each tent, a month apart. So we harvest 4 plants every month( in theory) learning nothing really goes as planned!
    Second harvest 4 Papayas in 2 weeks.

    Great video subbed to all your channels. My question involves light leaks. Everyone agrees that light leaks are bad and to the point they sit in tents and look for tiny pin holes. I’ve done this myself and the new tent i’m setting up is my largest tent to date and will be used for flowering.
    The question involves the velcro flaps around the bottom of the tent used for airflow to vent tents with fresh air. GT recommends putting a piece of cardboard or something similar slanted to cover this open space. My new tent all the little tiny spots are fixed and it’s pitch black when the covers are on the vents and the velcro don’t have light leaks. Once that seal is broken on the very bottom and the top and the sides are still fastened and something is holding the bottom open light pours in from the opening. Having something leaning over that gap on the exterior slanted at an angle say cardboard for example you can still see light no problem it’s very very obvious light enters that spot. What am I doing wrong? Can you each respond to how you resolve this issue other than not entering the grow at lights out please and thanks.

    I'm new to grow tent and I still have my wood made grow cubicle from the 90. I will use a dark room with window covered with the same white and black plastic roll. A green light in case of need to fix urgent situation, ph check twice a day or at least one a day with a reliable tool or strips you can cut in half to reduce cost! Educate yourself in gardening books or reliable experienced web growers or tubers. Study carefully your girls each day, If you're familiar to gardening use soil, if new in soil and feeding to much water that will slow grow, (go for hydro)and for big plants need big heavy containers, more place etc...buy the essential to start, buy the less expensive seeds from good source, stay away from pure sativa gen. cause any stress or change in nut. might produce herma! today it is easier to grow from the info available like 90% work done unlike back then with 10% of basics info not always factual! People claiming being expert who think the male grow in the kitchen is female, Telling you're wrong about the genre are better left in their ignorance ! Give free weed to cancer patients or friends who shared in the past once in a while, weed will grow in the worst condition outdoor and still flower but in midget size! Outdoor with best soil like a dying clone needing water I gave free was put in the soil of demolished greenhouse, a monster & 7 feet tall 10 feet wide, we use a chainsaw to cut the 6 inches trunk, Size and rounded form in plain sight even fool me to check closer. Cut too early but the guy was nervous,minimum of 2 more weeks to 4 for optimum potency of 15 to 18%, it had around 10%. I helped some young guys free and free clones or half-price, as long it's not for commercial purpose, non smoker with prejudicial opinions about weed users, only once I helped but his goal is money, thinking outdoor weed could be sell same price like indoor , New to grow stay simple and never buy new tech like vertical garden or big wheel motorized kit if you have no basic experience, those who did sold it after few months! dry harverst at slow pace from 7 to 10 days for taste and free of chlorophyll green taste! Comments are really good and thankful, they know it's a privilege learning from experienced growers, saving up to a year or two of time learning mistakes! Today low wattage, no need like me to install wiring with ten gauge wires not the usual 12, one breaker for a single 1000 watts and some but never go over 80% of capacity, 15 amp breaker x 120 v : 1800 w use no more than 1500w. Use a relay with timer never use cheap plug in timer made for resistive lights like the old bulb, unlike neons who are capacitive type and harder on switch, like HPS and MH, old fuse box are good too, you can see if it was a short or overcharge by looking at center, black stain color for short, when installing breakers check for balance split breakers equal between the 2 120v phases! Led make it simple! if in need of electrical extension plugs, buy the bigger gauge wires hd grade , the longer the thicker for a non drop voltage like higher resistance thinner wires! I saw enuff burn vacuum motor using long extension! Similar to use a regular light dimming control on the kitchen ceiling fan,speed control for fan give 120v in cycle on off on of ! Enuff now, too long but the covid blues is high sometimes alone!

    I think when people ask the best light to use for a specific size tent is they are looking for 1 light that will cover the entire foot print. And work for both veg and bloom. Then don't like the answer when you tell them one of these top of the line lights that cost 1500 up front. Or they need to put in these whole new breaker and 220 outlet for like a hps/mh or cmh. (Yes there is some over exaggeration there )
