Our high school had one of these in orange from all the way from 1st grade to about age 40 it was owned by the school. I still see that truck being put to work hopefully someone restores it.

Sweet ride. I prefer the 78 grill and front end treatment but I can appreciate the work done on this beauty.
If they would have zinc dipped those series they would have been far more rust resistant.
They had untreated sandwiched steel panels that would trap moisture and not drain well.
But they had a cool factor that was off the hook.😊
That guy’s trailer. I’ve seen more than one with no safety chains come off the ball and just wander off any direction.
