I haven't done any eco prints yet this year and you have inspired me! Need to get out my plate! Beautiful pulls and my favorite is your pickup sheet you used on each one ❤

Fantastic prints! Can't wait to try this out. How do you condition the gel plate? Does that just mean to clean it? Thanks Eddie!

I use baby oil. You can also use a food grade mineral oil. Rub it on top and around the edges, kind of massage it. Then let the plate sit to soak up the oil.

Hi Eddie, this was fun to watch, and I love the color combos. I spend about 3/4 of my time doing botanicals. I've tried and tried to do pulls with light color base and dark color pickup layer without success. Normally using Amsterdam paints, have tried (light color) opaque base with transparent (darker) pickup color, semi-transparent, etc, they always come out muddy. Is it just not possible? I always have good luck doing prints with lighter color pick up layers. Any help you can offer would be appreciated! Thank you.

I make sure the first layer is completely dry before I try to pull it. Also, be sure to use contrasting colors for better results overall. I hope that helps.

Have you conditioned your plate? I do that before doing a session and it gives me great pulls. I use baby oil, but you can also use a food grade mineral oil. I hope that helps.

Your phone is turned in the wrong direction for optimal viewing. It's annoying because it's like trying to watch something through a keyhole. I stopped watching after a few minutes.

This video was originally made for RUclips shorts which is why it's filmed in portrait mode. Most of my other videos are filmed in landscape mode.
