I always say: you're not allowed to tell someone how to feel about what's happened to them or what you did to them even though you" didn't mean it like that", allow people process their emotions the best way they can (as long as it's not violent or inhumane) and if they doesn't work for you, then leave them alone... Find somebody on your own frequency.
