No. The mods that are being made are very mixed. Kids make up the lager number of hte player base so the mods that get popular and end up getting to you are more so fixed to younger audiences. Haveing memes and references in a mod dosnt make it for kids though it just makes it fun.

Small correction, that's not the game over screen from the first screen. It's the beta game over screen from a demo shown at an expo. That Luigi is thus known as Beta Luigi
Neither are correct! It's simply just a piece of showing capabilities and whatever, at whichever expo there was. It was never a game over, it was just part of the video teaser.

fun fact: in the beta luigi song, there was some flashing lights, which was just thunder, but over 2 times, we can see a shadow of bf hanging himself. this was a reference to the trailer of luigi's mansion, and people saw a shadow of luigi hanging himself. but that was revealed to be false, and it was just a lighting error.
I knew it was a reference to that when rewatching it.

In order of appearance, your opponents in this mod were:
- Mario.EXE, a similar being to Sonic.EXE, inhabiting an SMB1 cartridge. Unlike Sonic.EXE, Mario.EXE prefers to keep up the appearance of being a psychotic version of everybody's favorite red plumber rather than breaking character and just going in for the kill. The green poison mushrooms in the first two songs are from a well-known Mario.EXE fangame. Mario.EXE's design is based on a super old drawing often associated with him.
- GB, a recently created creepypasta character very similar to the original Mario.EXE, this time within Super Mario Land 2. The main theme of Super Mario Land 2 is the melody that is sung before his demonic beatdrop here.
- Luigi the Burnt Traitor, from the "I HATE YOU" Super Mario World creepypasta. This version of Luigi had enough of Mario taking all the credit, so he secretly worked alongside Bowser in the plan to capture Peach in Dinosaur Land. After Bowser's defeat in the normal game, Luigi lured his brother to a death trap of a lair, where the green man would finish Mario off once and for all. Unfortunately, when Mario did find out his own brother hated him so much, he was so wracked with betrayal and a desire for revenge that he managed to beat Luigi and threw him into lava, hence Luigi's burnt skin here. In this mod, the arena you face Luigi in is the same one where he tried and failed to kill Mario in the original story. The faceless Boos, the "I HATE YOU" blood words, and the drowned Mario corpses in the background are all part of the creepypasta as well.
- Ghastly Game-Over Luigi, inspired by the beta game over screen of Luigi's Mansion 1 (where you supposedly fail to save Mario within 24 hours) and an unintentional lighting glitch in the same game where Luigi's shadow appeared to be hanging from the ceiling beams by a rope. The same glitch is referenced when lightning strikes in this song (which you disabled, for some reason).
- The Wario Apparition, a mysterious entity that was spawned alongside the "Every Copy of SM64 is Personalized" craze a while back. Supposedly, people wanted Wario to appear as a boss fight in SM64, resulting in their personalized copies creating the Wario Apparition, an invincible floating head with insanity-inducing tendencies, often chasing players down a long hallway in the game, much like how he chases BF in this mod. (The concept is also rooted in the Nintendo presentation of E3 1996, where a Wario-head real-time Vtuber-esque model appeared in front of an SM64 background to promote the SM64 game with the promise of using the presentation to denounce the other game companies and show the audience what real fun looks like in video games.) One of his poses references a Mario Land 2 commercial where Wario attempts to hypnotize the viewers to turn against Mario.
- MX, straight from Mario '85, which you just played recently. He's an incorporeal monster taking on the form of a warped facsimile of Mario, capable of stealing souls and hopping between games like nothing. He's a powerhouse, and a force to be reckoned with. His back pose is a reference to one of his sprites, while he has two spoken lines, "INNOCENCE DOESN'T GET YOU FAR" and "WAHOOOOOOOO", both of which copy his lines in the Mario '85 demo. In the game, you play as the soul of Lucas, a young boy who MX killed, trapped within the Luigi vessel. In the Game Over screen, Lucas's/Luigi's head is seen on a pike, much like how it appears here. The background is also from Mario '85, when World 1-1 first turns spooky as MX appears.
- "Racist Mario", from the ancient animation of the same name. Enraged at the fact that the rest of his crew invited non-Nintendo characters to join Mario Kart, this crazed parody went on a murderous and rather vulgar rampage, killing friend and foe alike on the racetrack.

The design looks very similar, but I suppose during this version they hadn’t really gotten much variation in character design, especially not like today’s differences between the two.

Mod context:
Mario.exe’s model is based off of a VERY old picture of a creepy mario with sharp teeth holding a knife with the text “mario get you next time”, and the bloody 1ups are from the game and they would make you vomit up blood and die, so you had to jump over them
The colorless mario is also Mario.exe, mario.exe has forms for every unique mario design in the games (being 1 of many faces, unlike sonic.exe who is many of 1 face), so he took the form of the one from I believe super mario land 2 based on the design of everything (gameboy) and the song name (Golden Land)
luigi is from IHateYou.exe, a short game where luigi betrays mario and mario is forced to kill his own brother by drowning him in lava, the eyeless boos, “I HATE YOU” blood text, and multiple drowned mario corpses being from it
The second luigi is from the beta game over screen in luigi’s mansion, where there was a time limit of I think 24 hours to beat it and if you didn’t, mario was trapped forever, also it wasn’t shown here, but during the song it would be thunderstorming, and halfway through the song when lightning struck, occasionally you would see a shadow of a hanged bf, this is a reference to a very infamous luigi’s mansion glitch, where whenever lightning struck while talking on a phone in the attic, luigi’s shadow would be elevated and slack right under a ceiling beam, as if he was hanging by a noose
The next one is the Wario Apparition, a famous super mario 64 creepypasta/anomaly, he appears in the 30 star door in the basement, says “you want fun? Wario show you fun!”, and chases mario down a near endless hallway, he appears on certain personalized copies and it is said it can cause the player stroke-like symptoms and memory loss
Next is MX, the mario.exe of Mario 85 and is basically mario.exe’s Lord X, where a kid named lucas is trapped inside of a corrupted mario cartridge, taking the form of luigi, and he becomes MX’s eternal plaything, and if you didn’t catch it, he had a reference to Xenophane in triple trouble in the first part of his song
And lastly is Racist Mario...he needs no introduction

I usually never recommend mods on this channel, but I really hope you check out a mod called VS Isaac V2.
The V1 version of this mod came out a while ago, and the update for it is one of if not the BEST FNF mod ever made in my opinion. I would describe it, but it's best experienced blind. Hope to see you check it out!

World 5 is also a exe pc port called MX Mario 85 which is a creepy pasta about a kid named Lucas who got flash and passed out and got sucked into the game causing him to be Luigi in the super Mario game who is the Luigi character.

The luigi in song two is from the "I Hate you" creepypasta, basically luigi betrays Mario. And, whether you like it or not you send luigi into the lava. And on the ending screen, he kinda crispy. The blue Mario's are from a version of the pasta we're there are drowned Mario's that chase you.

World number 4 is basically made by Nintendo and appeared in this mod because this was an Halloween event in 2019 and Nintendo switch Luigi's Mansion beta before the Luigi's Mansion got abandoned in 2020.

For clarification Luigi came from a rom hack of super Mario something called and I quote (I HATE YOU) Luigi betrays you and joins king koopa\bowser But this happens off screen before you go to Bowser's lair
You have to go through a bombardment of jump scares, countless amounts of bloody texts saying I HATE YOU and WHY WONT YOU DIE and swimming from all off Mario's last life's. Once you do get to Luigi you have to fight him in doing so you land one last blow then Luigi falls in to the scolding hot lava hence why Luigi looks this way you should really play the rom hack it's really spoopy

Ig imma go ahead and leave the context for all the songs here.
The first one is based off an old deviantart image named "Mario.exe" where it's mario from the front and he has black eyes with red pupils and he has a whole lot of spikey teeth and he's holding a bloody axe. The second one, I'm not sure if it's based off any creepypastas but it appears to be based off Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins from the gameboy. The third one is a joke pasta (kinda) based off super mario world called IHATEYOU where it turns out Luigi was secretly working for bowser behind Mario's back and Mario has to dump him into the lava sadly. The fourth one is from a Luigi's mansion beta death screen which is pretty creepy. Also, it flashes for a second and you can see BF hanging himself, which is based off a rumor where you can see luigi hanging himself in the death screen, but it's just a lighting error. The fifth one is based off the Wario Apparition, which comes from a more recent creepypasta from 2020 called "Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized", where everyone was sharing their experiences from mario 64, but all of them seemed to include things that never really happened in game, the most famous being the Wario Apparition. The sixth one should be obvious, but if you've been living under a rock it's based off the Mario '85 PC Port where a beast named MX chases Luigi (Lucas) down and says a lot of creepy things. And the seventh one is based off an old funny animation called "Racist Mario" where Mario is mad that Nintendo is adding non-nintendo characters to Mario Kart, and attempts to kill them all off. World 5 is from the exe port mario.exe from Shadow underscore shade which is basically a person who made the artwork so the person decided to add it in world 5 and just let me know this has a lot more information basically Lucas was playing this game called the PC part version of Mario and tell her the game got glitched and he entered the game and he was looking like Luigi but he's actually Lucas and at the end Mario turned into mario.exe and then draws toad's head and then shows it to you with no saying run and if he catches you that happens to Lucas too and he destroys your body.

Here's some lore for those extra opponents.
- 1st: I HATE YOU Luigi. He's a versio of Luigi who hated Mario due to Mario getting all the fame and Luigi just being his shadow. So, with that vendetta, he decides to plot a way to kill him. But when he does, it fails, and Luigi gets pushed into lava. He came back as a zombie and won't rest until Mario dies.
- 2nd: Beta Luigi. This is a beta ver. of a gameover screen announced in an old trailer. It's a version of Luigi who had failed to save his brother, and is now depressed.
- 3rd: The Wario Apparition. I haven't known much about it, but I know this. It's basically from a haunted cartridge of Super Mario 64 that is personalized to the player. Most of them wished for Wario to appear, so here we go.
- 4th: *MX*. MX is kinda like the Lord X of them (speaking of which, both MX and Lord X are best friends). He terrorizes the entire castle to search for someone named Lucas, who takes the place of Luigi.

The Luigi zombie version in world 3 is actually a beta game over screen in Luigi's Mansion beta and also comes out as a secret in the GameCube version. (This version of Luigi is not fan made. This version is made by Nintendo.) I am not lying and it comes out in the trailer.
