something i like from the ending, is that although he does die, its not a defeat. mario.exe intended to keep bf inside after betraying their deal, mario's entire intention was to make him suffer in agony forever as his plaything. what happened was bf was so angry and defiant that mario just gave up and seemingly killed him out of frustration. didn't even finish the song. and he laments in the ending song that he regrets doing it. people think its "awh he has a heart" but personally i think exe wanted bf alive to torment and he regrets the impulsive decision to end him.
