I would just like to point out to those commenting on the "SLOW PACE" of the crew in the video that they were assigned to be the RIT team if you listen to the begining of the video (he says "get the RIT bag"). The RIT or Rapid Intervention Team is assigned to stand by in case things go south mainly if firefighters become trapped or injured the Rapid Intervention Team is to RAPIDLY INTERVENE and rescue those who may be trapped. If there was no RIT team on standby and say a firefighter went down or there were reports of another trapped victim there would be nobody standing by to rescue them hence if they ran into the structure like some people have suggested. If the RIT team entered the structure prematurely all personel woud be in the structure at that point running out of air and nobody would be available to rescue anybody if reports of more victims were confirmed (they would be low on air by this point and worn out). Thats why they were "moving slow" and "standing around" they were awaiting orders they were not "caring about theirselves" more than others. I understand to those that are not firefighters what this may have looked like but I assure you it is not what you think. Notice how when they were deployed he ran to the truck to get the saw. Trust me at that moment there was nothing they wanted more than to be in that structure. I hope this helps you all understand what is happening in the video.

Well Zeke thats why we dont need or want people like you in the fire service. It sounds like you watch way too much tv. You wont do anyone any good if you get injured or killed trying to effect a rescue running on emotion. All you become is a victim yourself so now there are two rescues to make. These guys are highly trained to do what they do and trust me they do it well. Do yourself a favor and arm yourself with some education and facts and maybe alot less tv.
My dad was a firefighter and he has friends who work as one so I've been in a moving truck, seen the equipment, eaten with them, and know how to drive an ambulance. It's really cool
If you lived in that neighborhood you'd have those gates up too. During the day the human cockroach-scum are out searching for a way in to steal your stuff while you're not there, but at night the serious predators come out and they don't care if you're home or not. If you are, they will just shoot you so you don't get in their way or identify them. My piece of advice: Don't move there.
MD Supreme yeah, damn. I was thinking eff that, time to move. I think I'd torch it myself if I had to live somewhere all that was necessary, and that's why that fortress stuff scares me. at the Cocoanut Grove fire in Boston, one guy got snagged due to the friggin glass block windows. Grown man got partway out and the fire burned him up. Firefighters went at it with axes. if you live there, what could you possibly have to steal?
+Leon Kittilsen It really depends on where you live and how your local FD works. Fire Departments while all similar operate very differently. The best way to find out how to help would be to ask them directly.
I went to a summer fire training camp and man I can't imagine what they have to do. I had to be blindfolded and suited in all this heavy equipment and move through a smokey house navigating by crawling!
You have to think about what is burning too not worrying about just smoke. Some materials will burn and become deadly toxins. Though it gets diluted, not much may be needed to kill you. Or like a shed fire I went to where we all left with the munchies (weed shed)
Man, when you live in a neighborhood where you need a locked iron bar door AND a roll-down steel door to bring down over it, I'd say it's time to move.
Why do we never get see this kind of a footage depicting a female firefighter in action? Most of what I've seen is either women in training or interviews with them outside of the action.
John Hitchcock It is pretty hard to tell a man from a woman in full turn-out gear. You've seen them in action, you just didn't know it. They don't want to stand out. The just want to be with their fellow firefighters. Last year a female firefighter and 4 of her brother firefighters were killed in a hotel fire in Houston, TX. She was doing the same thing in the same place as the men. The firefighters, male and female, who knew her said she was one of the best. The only clue for some, but by no means all, of the female firefighters is that they will be small in stature compared to everyone else on the scene. Those are women who really busted their butts (everyone does, but not as much as a woman under 5 ft) to get their job.
Spartan Gamer My concern is that they are under-represented by the media. I've done extensive research on the subject and it is almost impossible to find in any medium a positive image of a female firefighter outside of works aimed towards kids. I've found plenty of videos that feature women firefighters but most of them are interviews or show women in training. I have yet to find one that actually shows a female firefighter in a real emergency even though there are plenty with men.
quick question. The building you forced entry, was that an exposure building or was that portion attached to the residential building? Seemed a little odd when watching .
Its a great video. The only issue I have with it is the fact that the truck guys are yard breathing when they are the RIT. I have been taught to not go on air until you are getting ready to go in. because like me you know every min and sec of air counts. but aside from that good job on making rescues!
My dad is a professional firefighter. Yesterday was the first day I saw him do his job after him being a firefighter for 20 years. Do you know how scared I was to see him walk into a burning home? People there are complaining "oh they're so slow" "can't they do their job" "put the fucking fire out" "what the hell, why isn't there water yet." I trun to them and say "my dad just walked into that burning home so someone can have a better day. these men don't care about their own life, look at them, they're walking into a fucking blazing building, over 250 degrees easily, with a hose and a mask they hope with keep their lungs flowing and healthy. It is insane how fast a fire can start, but it is even more insane how these men can put it out in minutes. My dad has shown me fires, the ones he has went in to. I've never witnessed him go into it, it was one of the scariest things I've ever seen, watching my own father do his job, just so he can keep people save and potentially give someone another chance at their life. Thank you so much to all the professional, volunteer firefighters, and good citizens who can stop this horrible act of nature. I could never do this, but the people who do are real heroes.
Ian McCann Completely agree. Last Saturday my house's kitchen burnt for around 15 minutes and that was enough to get everything covered by that black shitty thing The FF were late, but they definetly done a great job, when fire started my neighbours and I tried to fucked it but we couldnt do anything. I smelled the smoke for 2 seconds and I was almost fucked up, the firemans were fighting for 5 minutes in the kitchen wich is actually a very closed space and came out like nothing. Please consider that in Mexico FF dont have all the special equipment, just that "helmet" and their uniform They are my heroes now, please send congratulations to ur daddy because he and everybody who is a fireman is such a badass and hero
good video, he started off as r.i.t then was assigned another task. Kept calm, good job on opening the door and doing the primary while supressing some fire.

Also, what kind of mask are you using where you can't be masked up and just not be on air?
This video just straight emphasizes the title, Fireman. 💯
at 720 was that just air getting to the fire or was there some sort of pressure breach
edit:was it that water heater
Great POV video, good to see the job of a firefighter from the view of a firefighter.
God bless the firefighters risking their lives for the others’ lives
These men aren't just heroes they're saints. Every instinct I have would make me run as fast as I could away from this situation.
7:08 And that is why we overhaul
the best helmet cam i seen in a while
Well Zeke thats why we dont need or want people like you in the fire service.
Yeah. If you run in blindly, you just end up a victim yourself. Gotta think before running there!
WELL SAID "SHOOTER".
So sad to hear the family so plead for their loved ones to be okay! Fireman and all EMS are the best!!!
Great job brothers stay safe
What brand helmet cam is this? Crystal clarity...over or under mount?
5:54 Awww he needs a hug.
dardee dar dar
Very funny but he said hook
My dad was a firefighter and he has friends who work as one so I've been in a moving truck, seen the equipment, eaten with them, and know how to drive an ambulance. It's really cool
Was that house fucking Fort Knox damn
lol!
The people who lived there sure hoped it was in that neighborhood!
MD Supreme
MD Supreme yeah, damn. I was thinking eff that, time to move.
I think I'd torch it myself if I had to live somewhere all that was necessary, and that's why that fortress stuff scares me.
at the Cocoanut Grove fire in Boston, one guy got snagged due to the friggin glass block windows. Grown man got partway out and the fire burned him up. Firefighters went at it with axes.
if you live there, what could you possibly have to steal?
For anyone wondering why he's stabbing the ceiling and pulling it down it's to check for conceiled fire. Fires can go hours undiscovered this way.
What fire helmet cam is being used here?
I'm going to guess it's the FireCam Mini HD
+Leon Kittilsen It really depends on where you live and how your local FD works. Fire Departments while all similar operate very differently. The best way to find out how to help would be to ask them directly.
Are we suppose to save black people?
Mrmcwarpather why the fuck are you saying that. of course
Mrmcwarpather RASICT
I went to a summer fire training camp and man I can't imagine what they have to do. I had to be blindfolded and suited in all this heavy equipment and move through a smokey house navigating by crawling!
stay safe bros
Thank you so much for your service.
thank you and your welcome !
Someone probably dropped the blunt in there 😂😂
No I see what these brave people go threw ever hour of there lives 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
That's pretty cool that the whole community had the day off 😏
Grey Sinclaire I know this is a joke, but there is a good chance that none of these people have jobs
Im just sayin these guys are wasting some serious air yard breathing like that
DIPwhenyourSICK you know you can breathe in a mask without the tank supplying air right?
You have to think about what is burning too not worrying about just smoke. Some materials will burn and become deadly toxins. Though it gets diluted, not much may be needed to kill you. Or like a shed fire I went to where we all left with the munchies (weed shed)
Man, when you live in a neighborhood where you need a locked iron bar door AND a roll-down steel door to bring down over it, I'd say it's time to move.
@ No doubt. Who isn't these days??!
I know what cause the fire there was probably a meth lab in there basement
XxSNIPERWOLFXx Great observation.
RsN Orange thx lol
A great example of how to do the job. Well done!
2019?
Hunter Harris 2020
Excellent work! showed upmost professionalism.
Why are you assuming that some of these firefighters aren't women?
Justin Huffman Mainly because I could hear their very male-sounding voices.
Why do you need to see female firefighters anyway? Who cares....
Slayed the forcible entry . Teamwork boys
Who is moronic to put all stuffs to blocked window/doors
Earl Patterson ikr
+Earl Patterson a lot of people in a high crime area
+Earl Patterson they are called burglar bars pretty common in high crime areas
Andy Monce I'm confused. If you have to live in a bad area, wth do you have to steal? You could sell it and MOVE.
Man that's scary. Having to go searching for the fire!
How much air did they use popping that door
+okami89 its a req. for most departments to be on air when u force entry
I know I was just wondering bc it seemed that they got a good amount of work out of what little air we have bottled up

quick question. The building you forced entry, was that an exposure building or was that portion attached to the residential building? Seemed a little odd when watching .
The same cops they were trying to kill yesterday are saving their lives today.
Its a great video. The only issue I have with it is the fact that the truck guys are yard breathing when they are the RIT. I have been taught to not go on air until you are getting ready to go in. because like me you know every min and sec of air counts. but aside from that good job on making rescues!
It's in the jungle, let it burn
That was uncalled-for.
Great job folks, solid truck work
It's so sad seeing a fire but it's worse when the home owners reactions because you can just sense their amount of pain they're facing.
Nice video, I agree let it roll don't bleep it out, this is RAW firefighting! keep up the good work buddy. be careful.
How is your camera mounted on your helmet? So I know where to mount mine best.
most guys I know use some sort of rubber band that can hold camera/flashlights
+Alcai or on my military helmet i used to use tape particularly duct tape
+Captain Macmillan
Not a super great idea. Duct tape doesn't hold up real well in 600°F
+Captain Macmillan And thanks for your service
Last Saturday my house's kitchen burnt for around 15 minutes and that was enough to get everything covered by that black shitty thing
The FF were late, but they definetly done a great job, when fire started my neighbours and I tried to fucked it but we couldnt do anything. I smelled the smoke for 2 seconds and I was almost fucked up, the firemans were fighting for 5 minutes in the kitchen wich is actually a very closed space and came out like nothing. Please consider that in Mexico FF dont have all the special equipment, just that "helmet" and their uniform
They are my heroes now, please send congratulations to ur daddy because he and everybody who is a fireman is such a badass and hero
Soon as he walked into the other room I was like oh shit it is on fire lol
Great job on the overhaul brother... Stay Salty!
these people are true hero's because they rusk there lives to save others so thank you for your service
Awesome work
God you're a savior.
"Fire Department. Search warrant!"
I love that they bust the roof through but above that is more and more layers of the roof
Ha he's looking to see if fires up there.
Fantastic job by FD and real nice vid....
good video, he started off as r.i.t then was assigned another task. Kept calm, good job on opening the door and doing the primary while supressing some fire.
The kid tho at 0:47 is like " oh mah godddd..."
