You know what is funny? I watched the episode again and it still isn't clear that they get what is coming. Lyanna kind of took it in another direction. I mean mainly because they were all annoying her because Jon is right about the Winter but still.
In the novels Robb signed a decree which presumably legitimized him and named him heir. In the show that decree was never shown. Presumably he can though unbeknownst but knownst to us he is a Targaryan.
+PHANTOM X More Snow. If Jon is not allowed to bear the Stark name then why would his son? He's also a bastard from a Targaryan point of view, so then it would be Flame (or whatever naming convention they use to name their bastards).
S1rWakka Since hes king in the north now he could legitimize his child and i doubt he would want his own child to be raised with discrimination. I think eventually he will take up the stark name himself since they are still his family whether the father was a stark or not. Still this is how i see it and is probably wrong anyways. :)
In the GoT universe the descendants of bastards often change their names. For example in the books there was one minor character who changed his name from Waters (bastard name from the Crownlands) to Longwaters (since he himself was not a bastard, his ancestor was).
I just rewatched Lady Mormont's speech, and nowhere in it do they call him the Lord of Winterfell. Jon is only referred to as the King in the North. Does that mean they regard him as king, but still hold to the idea that Sansa is the Lady of Winterfell? She could make her claim if she remarried and named her husband acting Lord.

He could, but if Sansa publicly names him Stark, it would carry a lot more weight.
