2nd gen’s look so good in blue! also, it’s cool to see how they did stunt cages in that era.. very minimalistic 🥴 leaving the oil on the fender is a nice touch too👌🏻
Dude driving the camaro was everywhere in those days of tv . Never knew his name though? But those early round tailight 2nd gen camaros are absolutely stunning
Name was. DON Stroud,he was a great bad guy actor, he played in The Fall guy, Knight Rider, and A team, the supposed Super Camaro couldn't even outrun a 78 dodge Monaco police car!!!
Thats alright.. im more into classic body design than i am horsepower..i wouldnt care if that camaro had a little 305 because that beautiful body style easily makes up for lack of power imo. Plus they drove nice. Tbh I'd be OK with a straight 6. @jamesharrington4923
@@RetroGamerr1991it is NOT a cowl induction hood, it's no where near the windshield enough. Someone just made a mistake in shooting production when they set up the cars.
Every time that I watch one of these corny chase scenes I can't help but to think that in 100 years when virtually no one will own a car how confused they are going to be watching this.
Barry was the only one to pull his gun through the whole series. But today he misses the chase because he's the one stuck with bringing the other perp to jail.
That hurt my heart so much.........seeing that Cam roll like that!! That roll over the hillside seemed very unneccessary...he still would've got caught!! That rocket bit...they got lazy and just wanted to finish the episode.
@Groovy-z3x Highest mph speedo in any gen 2 Camaro was 150. They had a completely different look and font. The dash, bezels, and rings are completely different as well. That 160 speedo and bezel are definitely from a Firebird. Maybe it was shot inside Ponch's Gold Firebird on another episode and reused here
It's to prevent a fire in case the gas tank gets damaged. A small fuel cell gets placed somewhere inside the stunt car if it's going to be used for a roll over or a big jump.
The "Rocket Launch Control" was an option in 70 and carried over to 71 at an additional cost of $39.42...option RLC. It was disconnected in the 72 model year due an increase of cheesey attempts to jump makeshift piles of dirt and render the vehicle inoperable.
Monaco probably had a 440 Police interceptor while the Camaro had a 350 2 barrel with a pre recorded lumpy cam sound. Lol Dig those funnels on the back with dry ice smoke. lol
Thing that gets me is there is no way that those cops on bikes could catch that guy if he didn't want them to, unless they called for back up cops in cars, a cop on a bike could easily get killed more so than a cop in car
You ALWAYS knew if the car had a roll bar or cage it was GOING TO GET ROLLED.
You would think a car with the Gator McClusky jet in it would have positive traction .

Pardon me sir, Does your hood scoop have its own hood scoop?
Its like 2 story hood scoop 😂
I bet that camaro was fully capable of running 18's in the quarter mile.
That would really be winding that straight 6 up.
But that exhaust must be worth a few hundred hp at least 😅
@@Fabulousprofound168 don't be silly, I'm guessing not more than 150.

Also played the drummer (good guy!!) in The Buddy Holly Story opposite Gary Busey.
The scoops on backwards AGAIN! I just can't take this.
I can't stand the scoop being backwards either.

2nd generation Camaro was by far the best looking
Man the rocket propulsion was a super rare option! Gotta love the 70's full on cheese fest

Those rockets jumped him all the way over the shark.
Dude played a good bad guy but then he went and messed with the Hulk 😎
That was supposed to be a funny line. "Don't bank on it, huh".
Those cheeseball slapper bars on the camaro offend me more than the backwards scoop
Were those fire extinguishers sticking out the back?
Judging from the grill it looks to be a 1970 Camaro
It says, "Ralley Sport" on the fenders and the front bumper is the Ralley Sport option on the second generation Camaro.
I'll take the Split Bumper, Shades, and Bonnie please 😋✌🏿
0:14 I’m not old enough to remember the BF Goodrich logo used to say “B.F.” 😮
3:32 That's a second generation Firebird 160 speedo and woodgrain bezel. Only 22751 miles on the odometer
