That was the end of the number series for those black plates before they switched to the blue and gold in 1970. In California the plates always stayed on the car when it was transferred (generally). There were some 'studio' plate series that showed up in a lot of '70's movies and TV series like the 'PCE' plates on the Duel car.
i said the same about the scoop on the camaro and i have been scolded on how it’s a cowl induction hood and that’s the correct orientation. this hood scoop is CLEARLY designed to clear a tunnel ram and face the other f*cking direction it’s literally shown that way in ads lmao every car i’ve seen this style on is facing forward.. because it’s a forward facing scoop 🫠 it just looks stupid this way 🥴

Hi everybody, brand new here to this channel. Thank you so much the owner of the channel for these quick video clips of these car chases. Some of these videos I have either never seen or have not seen in over 40 years and little vague memories of. I was born in and have lived in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley all 50 years of my life. Although many of you may have already taken notice, but for those of you out there who don't know, would like to know exact locations, appreciate how things looked in the past as preserved in these old tv shows/movies videos, especially in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas as compared to now, this scene here was filmed on Saticoy (north side of Saticoy) between Winnetka and Oso in the San Fernando Valley... sorry for the run on sentence. Right at the 0:01 mark to the left behind the Mustang the "Winnetka Animal Clinic" is still there as well as the building with the multiple arches over the windows which is where there is an Urgent Care clinic that is allegedly known as the "pron" doctors for adult actors. At 0:04, there is a "Joy Bird" that my parents used to go to for their parrot we had in the late 70's throughout the entire 80's. Then probably the most significant here, and you can't see it because the Mustang is moving fast and the background is blurred, at about 0:05, we pass "Rumbo Recorders," a recording studio where so many great albums were made or partially recorded at. First and foremost, one of my favorite albums of any genre of music, "Appetite for Destruction" by Guns N' Roses. So sorry for the ramble people but someone brought it to my attention that I have more life behind me than in front me and that has made me a little nostalgic for things. So, seeing clips like this reactivate a whole collage of lifetime memories for me. God bless to you all for the new year.
1:00 😂 The car theft victim is like a young Mickey Rooney. Doing the same flailing around arm motions he learned from silent film stars when he was a kid.
I had a 69 in highschool. Got it from a guy who had it built by Ford. 12" clutch 3sp, 351 heads on a 302 and factory installed headers. Outran almost anything else in town.
Yep. That's a 73. One year only header and front bumper. Rear bumper had a plastic impact strip at one time, the holes were filled with chrome bolts. Wrong seat. Great episode.
I had a '69 in my young days. One time we were swimming in a river and I forgot to take the keys out of my pocket. So I lost them. I just went home found a spare ignition switch. Then opened the door in one minute with a coat hanger, replaced the ignition switch (just screws in and pugs into the wiring) and drove off. So it's realistic that you could steal the car in 2 minutes, with the door locked.

Nice AMC cameos! A two-tone Rebel wagon and a first--gen Javelin.
I saw that too! Javelin or an amx looks like under the hood was different color than body. I have a 69 that was originally that orange color
This Mustang must’ve been the inspiration for Razor’s Mustang from Need For Speed Most Wanted
