I've got one of these in my amazon shopping cart right now. I'd made up my mind for the most part, but your video sealed the deal. Great review, and the video itself is top shelf. Love your cinematography and editing choices. I'm an old man taking baby steps into animation, and I'm sure glad talented young artists like yourself are willing, eager even, to share what you know.
I bought this when they launched it. Got it on a great deal at the time. It's an amazing device really. Especially for a beginner to intermediate it's so helpful to go deep into digital art.
@@keyetoyoru3448 brilliant. I had to stop using it for 7 months after I developed some medical issues with my hand. But I use it regularly now and it’s great. The biggest frustration I have is with their software. It kept changing a lot and they now have a new UI. But its ability to not lose software specific setting or restore backed up settings is super flaky. The firmware itself is completely fine. Just the settings management could do with a lot of stability improvements.
@@kiriappeee do you experience connectivity issues? or maybe screen issues? if so, does it rarely happen or is it frequent? sorry for asking a lot, Im considering to buy this device and I wanna make sure i purchase the right device for the job. thank you for replying
@@keyetoyoru3448 no connectivity or screen issues. Just know that it’s not as portable as some try to make it seem. I tried to take it around with me but gave up because I always feel like I’m going to break it keeping it in my backpack. Maybe if I had had a protective cushioned case I’d be doing it. Settled for it being static on my table.
I actually recently got the Artist 15.6 Pro. And I got to say, it is quite splendid. With a nice paper-like grip on the screen and satisfying scroll wheel. Although it is more expensive, I do think it is worth the buy if you want to step up your game.
@@NobleFrugal I also have an artist 12 pro but I don't know how to customize the express keys very well, especially the dial. How did you make your dial to scroll through frames in Opentoonz like that?

To be honest I saw this tablet in there site and I was thinking of getting it I did thought about it and thought "yea this will be good and its also cheaper then the other ones" so i went ahead and got it but even so i still had some regrets since i didnt know fully about it until i saw this video and many more and now im excited for mine to arrive
u should be glad theres a stand included in the box, even if its flimsey, u really cant complain at this pricepoint, compared to other more expensive competitors which dont include a stand
Hi! Great video! I'm thinking on buying this kind of tablet to start drawing and I have a question: do these tablets come with a drawing sofware? Thanks!
Do you know of the xp pen artist 12 pro would work with apple, more specifically an apple mac mini m1? I'm starting up digital art soon and wanna make sure I have a compatible setup.😅
hello. sorry for the question, but.. in what programs can I draw on this tablet? is it possible to draw in any programs.. or are there certain programs? I've never had graphic monitors..I don't know anything about them ( the fact is that I know that can draw in Photoshop and sai on this tablet...but is it possible to draw in clip studio paint?
Can you make a tutorial on graphic symbols and if I can have one of my animations speaking so if I could save like 6 mouth positions and if on every frame I could replace one with another one. Also if you could show us how to shut of a layer so like if I’m animating a figure moving I could go to the next layer and blur or hide the complete figure (animation) and then draw the background and then show him again? THANKS 👍 love your work keep it up
Probably this, it has a lot more software options but it also depends on what you're looking for in a tablet. They also have a 20% off sale happening at the moment so it would be cool to snag one
Animation in Opentoonz or just animation in general? I have a book recommendation and a few videos that teach the principles of just general animation. (and in my opinion, these are the most important things to remember when animating.) If it's animating in Opentoonz you could just check out this channel. He posts a lot of tutorials for Opentoonz.
My boy got a sponsor!!! This is awesome, congrats!

What was your main tablet?
so we have to install the animation and the drawing apps in our computer in order to animate or draw on the tablet?
Can you change the settings so the tablet is more accessible to left-handed people?
does it require a laptop/computer or can it be used freely on its own?
It requires a laptop or computer because it's a pen display
what was your other tablet? And why did you choose this over a wacom?
