Randomly came across this video and inspired me to charge a battery and run a few magazines through mine.
Installed it around 4-5 years ago. Hasn't been started in 2years. Fired straight up. No issues. Solid system.
You say there is less things to go wrong, however there is more than one way the optical sensor trigger unit could fail really easily while a normal switch unit would simply not.
Titans definitely offer variability with the settings and more performance with speed triggering, but definitely not in reliability by default.

I've just had a GATE Aster optical mosfet put in mine. Although I live it because performance is waaaay better you can't say they're more simple and less prone to breaking 😂 optical mosfet's especially the titan are well known for breaking for stupid reasons. A bad thing being if light makes it into the gearbox it can mess up your sensor making the trigger and fire selector not work properly. Do love mine though.
Gate Titan and Gate Aster are both insane upgrades for fairly affordable price if you have the knowhow to install it.
I've got the Titan Gate V2 Expert Blu-Link installed now. It's a complete new world😂

To begin with, at least in Brazil, we don't get as much in terms of quantity in the upgrade category for airsoft (quality optical ETU, HPA systems, etc.). and when we finally find it, it is expensive.
My gate titan cost me 1.200,00 Brazilian reals (the average income in Brazil, by month, is 1.212,00 BRL) or 227,09 USD as of now.
and a Polar Star engine up to 4.000,00 BRL or 756 USD
So, while most of the parts we can buy are high-quality barrels, buckings, and hop-up units, ETUs (t238 comes at a reasonable price, but kinda sucks), and other platforms are simply out of reach for most.
My Specna arms SA-E20 costed 3.500,00 BRL or 662 USD because some stupid taxes and import fees. The price point in the US is 230-240 USD i believe.

@@kauedelmonte9432 fala irmão, então. Existem 3 tipos de gatilhos no airsoft, os elétron-mecânicos, com duas chapas de cobre que fecham o circuito e fazem o motor funcionar.
Tem o “micro switch” que funciona de forma parecida, mas é mais confiável.
E tem os sensores ópticos, o gatilho de modelo Titan da marca GATE é um desses sensores, outros que funcionam de forma parecida são: Perun Hybrid, Leviathan, T238, Zion Arms, entre outros.
Não comprei um Polar Star, mas um amigo meu comprou. Polar star é um sistema que funciona usando ar comprimido, ou HPA (high pressure air). É necessário um tanque e uma mangueira, semelhante ao paintball. Os disparos são mais eficientes, mas tem o empecilho do peso do tanque e a mangueira atrapalha na mobilidade.
is it necessary to upgrade your gears or will the gate titan still work flawlessly (i wanna get a krytac trident mk 2 crb and put one in there)
There’s definitely no need to upgrade your gears 👍🏻 we have a gate Aster in our Krytac Trident MK2 CRB. I would look into that as well, much easier to install than a Titan in a Krytac
for a krytac your ganna have a hard time finding gears that work, if you want to switch your gears out sadly you would be better off getting a new gearbox
Kraken, you should get your gun shimmed. With you being able to feather the gun also get a high torque motor like a 28tpa motor or a 22tpa. You will be able to get extremely good trigger response with only a motor swap. On the idea of shimming, the gun will sound much more smooth and you gun will last a little big longer both battery wise and parts wise.

I'd second this but be prepared its a time consuming job. I've got a lot of RC experience and still found it a challenge. One of the most finicky jobs I've done but Worth it though.
Is it worth it to spend like 60 more dollars on a titan or could the perun v2 be a decent option?

Been playing with getting the gate titan v3 for my ak12. Im pretty much sold at this point
So it doesn’t matter if I use a 7.4 or 11.1 battery with a gate titan?
On their product page they say that it can make the first shot of a burst with a 7.4 feel like shooting with an 11.1, but the mosfet can handle even 14.4 batteries

All you need is the USB cable, so if you have a friend that has one get the basic but i didn’t so I could actually use it 😂👍🏻

I was also thinking about the Leviathan, if your going to get something other than a Gate definitely get that one, but it is more limited

Do you still have stock internals? I’m thinking about getting one installed but the guy said it’s better if I just do it all(pistons, gears, trigger) at once rather than spending money on labor every time he opens it up. Should I just wait till the internals break to upgrade or?
Hmm that is a good point but I just have stock internals. Does make sense if you are going to pay to have it done, but if your gun shoots fine there is no real need to upgrade internals till it breaks anyway 👍🏻
It definitely depends on the build you’re putting it in
If it’s like a high speed/stress build, definitely change everything when you put in the titan
This thing will give your head everything it wants so well that you won’t even notice how quick your internals will wear out
Definitely change everything when putting this in unless you open up your gearbox and everything is reinforced one way or another (i.e. full metal rack instead of polymer teeth)

KWA's QRF Mod series is already set up to take a titan in the gearbox (they left space specifically for it) and it's got adjustable FPS to accomplish exactly what you're looking for.

How does this compare to the Gate Aster. My shop is recommending the Aster, says it'll give me plenty and so much of what you've said about the Titan. I'm looking at builds with both, help me decide!
The aster is trash. Absolute trash I’ve had it in my mk18 and this is no exaggeration I have not been able to post with it since I got it with the aster. Nothing but problem with the aster and I’m guessing the titan will have the same issue. Go HPA fuck the aster and Titans
Is the gate titan advanced waterproof ?
It is water resistant, but not completely water proof. It has a conformal coating which allows the board to get wet for short periods of time. I have used mine in the rain with no issues

I’m thinking on building a ssg or dsg I don’t know what I should get a leviathan mosfet or gate Titian
I have gate titans in two guns rn and haven’t had any problems. I’ve built both dsg’s and ssg’s in both and have settled with ssg’s in both. 12:1 gears and an shs high torque yields 35 rps in mine with instant trigger response. Dsg’s are faster but the motor heats up so much quicker that it’s not worth it IMO. Plus who needs more than 35rps

Thanks for the video, helped me a lot with my decision. But for my electrical technical knowledge, the term: Programmable Mosfet Unit is simply wrong. The mosfet only regulates the flow of current. They guarantee an even current for an analog or "digital" trigger unit. The microcontroller, which is supplied with power by the Mosfet, is programmed. So it would be correct, simply programmable trigger unit. Hate the terminology, programmable mosfet in airsoft.

Yo do you think you could do a walk-through video on how to program it just recently purchased one for my vfc and have not installed it yet I did a vfc for customer installed the Oscar and one of the issues I found was setting the selector switch center and Gate gave me a couple rundowns on you know if you install it too much to the right or the left if you're looking inside the gearbox sometimes it can not operate correctly I've been attacked for about 2 years now but more into either race cars not so much into programmable mosfets I mean in the two years I've only done three and the first one I have really good luck with no issues the second one had issues third one had issues hook me up
which version do you have v1 2 or 3 planning on putting one in my ronin t6
The V2 is the one I have and the one you need for the ronin. The different versions are for different gearbox’s. V2 is for M4 style guns and V3 is for Ak’s 👍🏻

No worries bro! I’d try the titan and maybe a SHS high torque motor. Those are extremely good for the price 🤙🏻

would this work in my Krytac with an 11.1 LiPo? Also do I need a hair trigger for the short stroke or does the misfit automatically shorten the trigger pull when you program it?

I mean their nice, but ill never rely on some electronic light sensor than a mechanical trigger that I know how they work and can fix them. I use the gate nano hard in all my guns since anything more are features I won't need. Precock? My overspin is my precock lol. But if anythjng happens I jusy unplug the mofset and plug in a new one. No dismantle. Negative airsoft knows what I'm talking about lol

Why don't you just hpa it?
It gives you 99% of the advantage of the hpa system for 33% of the price.
Far less tweaking/ fixing with hpa. l My hpa gun doesn't require sensors to feel like working when I want them too or not. I would recommend hpa for new players, gate titans for people that have basic computer skills/ know how to properly fix, upgrade, repair there gearbox. There's too many people that get a titan not understanding that it's not for players that cant problem solve.
