Lost all of my settings today in SLOBS, found this video really useful as I got my sound alot better already, still got some work to do on it but a massive improvement after my filters all went, cheers

I noticed that if the gain was to high on the physical mic and not in stream labs it would sound like a 1920's radio host so make sure the gain levels are the same on the physical mic and slobs!!

Or does it just have this configuration in this app or something like that? I have an iMac M1 and love my BlueYeti X. I keep reading old articles that say not to use the software that is associated with the mike. right now I tend to record vocals either on Garage Band or QuickTime audio but don't have the levels of controls that you seem to have on your setup. do you know what's the best way to deal with the Blue Yeti X on M! iMac?
My bf set up my mic. The quality was okay, but not what I'd seen on other streams and videos. Turns out, the mic is backwards!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Thank you for this awesome video.
I was wondering how you should speak into it when the mic is upside down. Obviously i cant speak into directly into the s ide where the blue is because than i wont be able to see my monitor. Any advice?
Does the obs only change the audio on stream and recording or does it just change the microphone eg. if you where playing a game would the changes take effect.
I've been using my yeti for a year. If I position in right its great, when I move it at all its terrible, sounds hollow or echo chamber. Last night I tried to reshoot a 15 second clip, and it didn't matter where I moved the yeti, I couldn't get back to good audio. 65 attempts and every single one is bad. Did the yeti just stop working and that's why? Only other thing I can think is that I have a large mirror behind it and maybe the sound is bouncing off it? (I use the mirror because the buil in light is great). I've used the mirror before, but maybe it's positioned different. Would a hard surface like that be enough to throw the audio off so severely?
How is your Blue Yeti connected to the boom arm? I have the exact same arm and blue yeti but the hole at the bottom is far too big to fit anything into it.
Someone should show you video settings. You scared me to death with that green flickering...I thought I was gonna lose another monitor! ...but thanks for the info on my mic ;)
awesome clean up - I still have to say I can hear the bit of hollowness or lack of depth that I'm having with my mic, I just don't think the Yeti is good enough. When I record and play with settings, it still doesnt come close to the channels I watch :/ .. thanks though! great vid
dude, youre totally spreading misinformation with how the mic is supposed to be used. it will pickup different based on what setting it is turned to. no wonder ur channel never took off lol.

I suggest the "Innogear Microphone Arm Stand, Heavy Duty (MEDIUM). For an extra $20 its a better built that's sturdier without springs
He didn't mention it in the video but make sure to turn that gain down to decrease noise cancelling!
This is exactly what I needed to read!! I do Breathwork and it was cutting out the sound of me breathing in the recordings!!

So ive done everything and the mic sounds fine, but no matter what i do it always detects the keyboard. Anyone know why?

What boom arm is that?
where dit you get the (measure's for the) pop filter?
You can just search for a filter for your specific mic and not worry about it being sized correctly.
I tried this and voice meter still gives out way better stream audio :(
