    This is going to be a weekly ritual for the rest of the season: Comb through every inch of game film and find ONE PLAY in which a call was made in the Chiefs' favor (doesn't matter if it's a bad call). Repeat that play four hundred times on the chat shows and claim that without that play the Chiefs would have lost. Ignore EVERY call that goes against the Chiefs (no matter how obvious), then shake your head in sadness and say the game is rigged and the officials are making sure the Chiefs win. The Chiefs could beat the Chargers 45-0 and one of you will say that a "missed holding call" or a "phantom pass interference" call would have changed the trajectory of the game. You all are ridiculous.

    • @dgcbarton
      @dgcbarton Месяц назад +1

      Like the phantom holding call against the Chiefs on fourth down for the Falcons, which ended in a TD. Like the "hands to the face" by Chris Jones that wasn't actually a foul, and far better than all the hands to the face by offensive linemen all over the league. We don't even have to talk about the ticky tack calls that helped to Falcons to 4 consecutive fourth down penalties (but ended without scoring).

    This situation is just to keep Travis and Taylor in the news. Football is a game. If there is one move that will always win the game, the defense will catch on. So you need to find something new to win the game that the defense doesn't expect.
    I'm not a chiefs fan, but I think this is more proof of how good the chiefs players and coaching staffs are. They knew giving the ball to Travis would win games. They rode Travis as far as they could, but they needed to find other ways to win games before defenses catch on too much, and they did.

They haven't even left the field yet, and Mahomes says something to the effect of, "you know, no one has ever won four in a row before." But as the season goes on, and Travis keeps getting offers to make a hell of a lot more money off the field than tight ends get, and with the rumors about he and Taylor wanting to start a family getting more frequent, for the first time, I can see him retiring at the end of this year whether they win SB59 or not. May depend on how the stuff he has already filmed, the game show and "Grotesquerie" go. If he gets good reviews for either of those, the job offers are probably going to come rolling in, and it would be hard not to strike when he can. In that field, you'd better take your shot when it comes as it might not be there a year later.

    One thing not many are talking about is : the less Travis has to do before post season, the better. He no longer cares about those 1,000 yard seasons. H/ Brown isn't even in the game yet.

    Def should’ve been flagged for PI. The narrative around the Spags timeout is incorrect tho; there’s a an angle showing the referee not grant Spags a TO, but then looks down the sideline to Andy Reid and only grants the timeout once Reid signals for it
    (Also there’s literally no penalty if a referee incorrectly grants a timeout when it comes from an assistant)

    As a Chiefs fan, it was pass interference. Just like it was the week before against us. I've been saying for years the refs need to be consistent and the best way to do that is to pay them to only do this job. Give them accountability, turn it into an actual profession.

    ive been telling ppl who are complaining travis kelce isnt getting anything and its hurting their fantasy n sayin he fell off but like if they watched film even once instead of game highlights they'd know hes got 2 or 3 on him and its mainly a DB who is better at jumping the ball against travis kelce or any TE for that matter

    • @xraylegend2444
      @xraylegend2444 Месяц назад

      The problem with this argument though is that it assumes this year is the most he has ever been covered. Why would he have more attention now than in his prime, especially after Tyreek left when they had no other weapons? Obviously it's too early to write anyone off, but not a good sign for a 34 year old tight end.

  • @Leggo.my.Ego.

    Does no one think this could be strategy to preserve Kelce's health for later in the season and post-season?
    I have to believe that he has a lower threshold of hits he can take this year, so maybe they're letting the younger guys cook knowing Kelce will always be a prime target in key moments.

    He hasn't been good the way we expect him to be but he does help the team a lot. People just look at the numbers and say he's awful but he has given them a lot of help.
    The best play by the Chiefs offense thus far in the passing game was probably the bomb to Rashee against the Bengals. That play was created due to Kelce. Kelce runs to a post route, both receivers are on go routes. Kelce instantly loses Logan Wilson, who is Kelce's defender. So Kelce is wide open. Vonn Bell as the safety on the left has to close in on Kelce but CTB thinks Vonn Bell is back there for the deep ball so if Rice runs a comeback if the play extends, CTB is there to cover that, and comeback routes are definitely easier to catch the ball than go-routes. And he thinks they have Vonn Bell deep to cover the go-route. They get confused leaving Rashee wide open for a deep go-route ball. Mahomes makes the pass and the credit is gonna be given to him and Rice but the reason that play worked is because Kelce in a second lost Logan Wilson and created the confusion in the Bengals secondary but won't get mentioned for it.
    He does help in these kinds of things that people don't really see.
