Konfrontasi - A Soldier Story

I had a chance to meet a Konfrontasi veteran, Mr Samat Sulaiman last week. Initially i was interested in his unique Bugis family story and the history of the North Eastern island of Singapore. However, his army experiences with some photos documenting those critical periods during 1963 Konfrontasi has stolen my heart. I have put up a short video of an undeclared war that was not really elaborated in our text books as much as the Japanese Occupation.
