Nice one, Chris! I find it very easy to get stuck in making sounds I've already heard somewhere else; approaching Abyss in the playful way you show can definitely help with getting out of that mindset and into somewhere a bit freer.

Yeah use automation in your DAW for tge modulators that would probably work !!

You can simply use real time animation from your daw. Which is the same as modulation. For instance in logic, there is a read, write, latch option that records movements of parameters. So if you want to animate that stereo spread, you would just do that.

Super interesting! I'm looking forward to use this in my physical sound-sculptures driven by generative algorithms in Max MSP 8.3. Thanks a lot !

In all honesty, I only use two software vendors. I've got four from Tracktion: Abyss, Novum, F.'Em, and BioTek2 (when will 3 arrive?); in addition I've also got the collection from Slate +Ash. Sure, aside from some backup software reverb and delay (though I normally use hardware variants: Chase Bliss and Meris LVX respectively), these two software venders are all that i use 90% of the time. Not only do they save me a lot of time, but they are almost as fun as using my hardware synths and controllers. Three thumbs up for Tracktion and the team at Slate+Ash!!!

I just bought it and pretty disappointed. 90 percent of the sounds I can’t imaging using in a song or project.
