Great info, thanks for showing the various stages. I was only vocalizing which didn’t really work and my dog escalated to very hyper, leaving the room is what I needed.

We have a GSP puppy coming in 5 weeks. We are very excited. I have been watching a lot of your videos. All very excellent information and you guys format and execute your videos so well. I like how you ask if there are any questions at the end of your videos and are somewhat surprised that there a not. Well you explain thing so clearly in an easy to understand way that there is no need to ask question. Great work!

Fab piece - when I had puppies in the house (Alaskan Malamutes) I yelped (varying the intensity) or removed myself from the situation - just like this. Hopefully got a GSP puppy joining the family in about 9 weeks (COVID 19 restrictions) permitting so wanted to see a reminder of what to do! I’ve also been checking out your other puppy training vids

After an intense play training session like that, I would have her up and out for potty. Then back for chew toy under supervision. I always supervise chew toys because puppies swallow anything and I avoid vet bills that way. I usually follow intense exercises with outside for a quick potty break, immediately after meals and before bed time and immediately upon waking. It's all one thing, play, bite training, no jumping training and potty training when they are little. Everything is an experience and everything lets puppy know what is expected and when. I use the same high pitched vocalizations you use and do it the same way. Bravo! You are on the way to a well mannered dog!

Hi Kat, I love the channel! I’m wondering if you could give me a list of every command and skill you teach a dog I. The order you teach them? I have an 8 week old English Setter that just came home yesterday and I would a path from day 1 hunting. If I had a list of the skills and commands I could use your videos to train each skill. The books have all skip basic puppy training and go right to advanced work. Thanks so much for the great content!

Love all your videos. We are getting our GSP puppy on February 15. This will be our second GSP(our last one passed last July). I have found your suggestions so very helpful. Could you tell me what kind of bone you have for Quest? Haven't bought any toys for our new pup yet.

Our gsp use to do that leg splaying as well. Never hurt her and she would fully stretch out as well. No hip issue up until we had to put her down because she took a nasty fall going down our back steps and damaged her spine. She was 18. And wouldn't survive the necessary surgeries.

Hello, Nice, watching your video clip! I didn't think of saying "Ouch" verbiage to my recently deceased Dear Tawny of 16 yrs old when she was a puppy. So looking forward to getting another GSP female puppy next year, I will be looking forward to reviewing your video clips often. I always adore the GSP breed and its personality, and so forth. Due to my prior GSP breeder now no longer in business, so I have been looking on the internet often to find a highly reputable private breeder in my home state of AZ and nearby states. I welcome any good breeder information from you that you may know I could be inquiring about. I am quite particular on good quality GSP breeder role, not from the Puppy Mill role. Much appreciated for the understanding! Thank you, Don

I tried this exercise and I got to the point where I left the situation for about 30 min came back once he was calm and he started again. This cycle didn’t stop for way too long.

Looking forward to trying this with my new puppy! What should we do when he's trying to jump at our face? It's a concern because he's doing it to my kids.
