And i was Waiting for it 🤣 And you are right! I have AirPods First Gen, Powerbeats Pro and AirPods Pro and Never had the slightest bit of regret for buying each of them. I am also looking forward to buy this little masterpiece as my very first Mac since my kind of old windows desktop drives me insane every once in a while. But, due to current circumstances, I have to wait a bit and It would be stupid to spend that much money for a hobby in that times. Long story short, awesome video and best greeting from Germany!

I bought magsafe adapter on amazon but doesn’t fit MBP 2020. It looked identical to the one in your video but no joy. I sent it back and tried another brand (but looked the same) and that too doesn’t fit USB-C properly. It’s like the USB-C port in 2020 models is shallower as adapter won’t fit flush. Did you find this or anyone else have the same problem? Or anyone have a link to a MagSafe adapter that does work with MBP 13” 2020...? Thanks in advance.
@@P_I_D Hi DSE! I had the same problem. The way I managed to fit it in is to force the adapter in with strength until you don't see any gap anymore. Trust me, it might seem odd but it definitely works if you just add a little more force to it.
Jonas Lim good it worked for you but generally forcing something into a port is not a good idea, so anyone else take a lot of caution because should the port break it could be a very expensive issue to fix!
Is there a case available that looks and has the same color and texture as the macbook? Would love to have one

I bought my Bose QC 35s 4 years ago and to this day I can confidently say that it was the best purchase I ever made. They have amazing sound quality, amazing noise cancelling and they are incredibly comfortable. I definitely recommend it.
Why not go with the mid tier base model at this point? Double hd, double ram, better more up to date processor, 4 ports, better integrated graphics, and better internal thermals since it has 2 fans instead of 1. All of that for $500 makes sense to me! I’m just about ready to upgrade my old 2012 15” retina and I was holding off hoping for the rumored 14” but that didn’t happen. Pretty sure I will go with an upgraded 13” to last another 8-10 years.

I'm so excited, I just got mine today as a gift and this video got me even more hype! I love it already. I did get one with 16 gb memory so excited to see what it can do!
Case is 100% necessary! However, keyboard covers can cause problems. The only damage I ever caused to my old 2013 MacBook was from a keyboard cover getting stuck in the hinge 🤦🏻♂️
What’s a keyboard cover? Like something that goes over the keyboard? I’m not trying to be snarky I don’t know what this is.
@@TheEverydayDad it's like a thin sheet of rubber that goes on your keyboard, you can still press the keys because its silicone but it keeps the debri on it then you can just take it off clean it and put it back on the keys.. Great videos btw, quite original!

Which thunderbolt to magsafe adapter did you have?
I'm still using my MacBook Pro 2015 and I love my MagSafe cable, all my ports. And the Magic Mouse is amazing too. Great video! Will look into that little Native Union case. :)

I have a few of the items you mentioned, however I've purchased two of the mag safe adaptors by Iskey and neither one has working for me. Not sure what is up with that. Thanks for sharing.

External SSDs seem like a pain. That’s why I opted for the 512 storage instead. Lol.
Definitely not worth it... if you need the extra space and can't afford the upgrade in SSD... you should probably be questioning getting an Apple to begin with

If you use Android and PC and have a MacBook I find any Bluetooth 5.0 from a reputable brand to work fine. I use LG FN6, Taotronics Sound Liberty 53 and Aukey EP-B33 they all work great no issues with calls, zoom etc.

if your using your laptop for long stretches you will need a desktop setup so get a monitor a keyboard a mouse and if you want a trackpad get that
Are you using the mag safe on your new MacBook Pro 13”? I ordered one and then noticed that the company says not to use it in Thunderbolt 3 ports. Is it working for you? All I care about is power supply not data transfer.

CalDigit dock is an ultimate beast if you have a stable workspace (be it home office, work office etc..) because it offers ALL the connectivity (bunch of usb ports, card reader, audio jacks, optical audio, ethernet, displayport..) which makes it very quick to plug Mac in and be ready to work :)

I found a very usable thing also a portable bluetooth Speaker, as the speakers with the Apple macBook Air 2020 are not that great, the great ones are Bose and JBL portable speakers.

They say the new macbook gonna have all the SD card slots and USB slots. There even bringing back the magnetic plug. I would wait to get it but I just needed a computer to bad to wait.

Yeah I don't know much about new hdd drives, but I dropped many of the older ones, and they usually don't last. Some literally fell from their side and quit working.
That gave me anxiety even though it wasn't my hard drive. I've had many drives fail in the past that were bumped on something when no in use. That is why I moved to SSD drives.
Do you know what color sleeve you had in the video? There are so many and I like the color you had in the video.
And does the Magic Keyboard with the Numpad fit in the smaller pocket of the sleeve?
Just found you , I am an older retired guy with a tired 2012 MacBook Pro 13 with 16 gig of ram. I do a little bit of photo editing and wonder if I could get by with base model.
Personally, the base model is perfect for photo editing.

Great vid. Any recommendations for dongles that don't overheat but include a gigabit ethernet port?
My minimal acc are : I'm getting a $30 space grey hub USB-C(2 USB3, micro sd, 10/100, hdmi, pd) from Amazon online, in case I need slots for different uses. $20 Tomtoc 360 for MB 13 with cushion all around and corner support so the zipper does not scratch the MB; just like Everyday Dad. And a $8 small surge protector.
So we used to have magsafe, hdmi and sd card reader built in, not to mention the usb-a (suppose you buy into ut being obsolete which it is not) - now you have to carry a whole lot of dongles for this

Do you have the bug where u r forced to update the software of Samsung T5 drive when connecting to Mac running Catalina? But then it will say the software is not compatible with Catalina and u r forced back to running the old software? But if u don’t try to install the new software, u can’t use the T5. I do have the T5 password protected.
I haven’t had any issues with mine sorry, mine is not password protected though.

What do you guys think? I’m planning on upgrading to a Mac next time I upgrade my computer which is currently a pc. Should I upgrade it to a Mac or another pc? I can run exe files with crossover and with said app I can download the windows version of stream. I don’t have many games but the only one I have that can’t run on a Mac in any circumstances is fall guys which is coincidentally coming to Nintendo switch soon. Other than that I shouldn’t have any compatibility or gaming problems.

I was debating over hard shell or sleeve. I chose the sleeve since I heard hard shell may cause scratches and debris to be trapped inside.

Love the videos and a new fan! Question, do you use the SD card to load content into the laptop then transfer to the external drive to edit your video files? From the video it sounded like you exclusively work off the SSD when editing video/photos.

I ordered a Mac book bro 13 inch from Best Buy and ups has been the WORST with delivery, it was supposed to be delivered five days ago, and they keep pushing back the date, I went to the ups warehouse where it was located at and they said they’re going to put it on will call but we haven’t heard from them at all, I needed this four days ago as well because it was supposed to be a birthday present to my son, we can only wait
