I love your podcast! I’m knitting on a destination unknown by Cheryl Faust and it feels like it’s never ending so I sympathize with your half fisherman’s rib sleeve 🫠
Good Luck with your exams! I wish I had gone to the KW festival but I know I would not be as disciplined as you with a budget! I love your tee and may have to plan it for next spring. Wellington fibres is a great place to visit and see the yarn being made. The Amble wears fantastic.
Your Lucy Blouse is coming along so nicely, and it's so interesting to see the difference between pre and post-shave! That mohair certainly is quite fluffy, and I agree that the blouse looks even more lovely after being shaved. I'm currently working on a couple different cabled projects, I'm definitely on a cable kick right now!
You are inspiring me to look at my scrap yarns and cast on a blanket. My scarps are acrylic 😕 I want to give Continental style of knitting a shot. So this should be a good one to practice on. I love your podcast and I look forward to a new episode every fortnight. All the best for your exams
Eyyyy Southern Ontario girl who goes to New Haven! Me too! Instagram's been recommending you to me for a while but I have instinctive rebellion against doing what the algorithm says. But your moonset tee looked so good in the preview, I caved. New subscriber here - good luck with your Quals! BF is doing a PhD so I've seen how stressful they are. Fingers and toes crossed for you :) Also I howled at your feminine shaver - very creative! Just as an FYI though, they sell sweater shavers on amazon with the guard ;) I bought mine for $40 I went to the KW Knitters Fair too!!! I didn't know anyone had Lina! I didn't see it! (Just finished that section - lol. Yup.) There was someone who had a lovely tencel lace for like $14 though. I'm knitting on the white Karin, because I am a sucker for lace and gradients. Lovely podcast, thanks for sharing! I'll be back :3
Hii!! Thank you so much! What were you doing in New Haven?? LOL thank you for the info. At least I got a bargain for $15 I'll have to look that pattern up - sounds lovely!!
Just FYI, I made the Moon Set pullover and where yours pulls at the v neck happens in my version too (admittedly, made in a very soft superwash yarn). I think it's the nature of the technique (which I've used before). It's pretty minimal on mine and it doesn't get worse over time so I wouldn't worry too much about your version being fragile. IMO, superwash MCN is less durable than silk and mine's fine after multiple wears. Interestingly, I made my neckline deeper by an inch (accidentally but I liked it as my bust is projected so the length, as written, would be very shallow on me at the instructed depth). I think if you just lengthened the v, next time, that would do the trick. Mine doesn't pull back at all. Also - Amble does felt if you put it in the dryer... Ask me how I know 🙂
Love your blouse ♥️.. we don't get such fibers here just acrylic.. other international yarns are from turkey and china.. cotton acrylic, milk cotton acrylic yarn. It's been a year to my knitting...
I have never been to a fiber festival, and I can't really spend much, so it's better to avoid temptation. I have plenty of nice yarn already, of course! I just finished a test knit called Dark Academia, allover color work being published in October, I think. A really great pattern. I just cast on my first hat, a baby colorwork one. I have 6 adult hats on my Christmas list if this first one is fun.
Oh the Lento sweater you’re making is gonna be gorgeous goodness

I think an acrylic blanket would be lovely too! Good opportunity to try continental. I've been experimenting with combination myself💕

I've never heard of milk cotton - is that brand?
I was sad that I wasn’t able to go to the kw knitters guild fibre fest. It’s a good one!
