Should’ve at least been nominated. Certainly my favorite film of the year.

Hey so her mom gave her to CPS and ran off with another little kid to the amusement park?

Brittney Jones the end was magic realism I think. I think she gets taken by CPS and the running away to Disney World is in her imagination

That and Brooklyn saying “I want them to feel like they need to help” 😭 I’m so glad the director and their parents gave them some level of understanding of what the film is really about, even though obviously they can’t understand all of it

Great film even though it addresses a depressing topic. It’s amazing that the mother was played by a first time actress. Defoe was great!

It’s so sad. In FL, they’ll hire 2 part time versus 1 full time benefited employees. This girl just can’t get a break as a single mom. You watch her struggle which is very real for a lot of people.

Their Reaction To The Ice Cream 😅🍦🥰The Florida Project Is Amazing.
Being Someone Who Has Lived That Life In Hotels, with my daughter ❤️ at one point and seeing 👀 other families going through same situation 💔 it's hard. I remb cps knocking on one of the housekeepers doors 🚪 she was living there w her two kids and was trying to get away from an abusive ex. She was from a completely different state no family. But w cos came I remb she didn't answer and I didn't blame her she was a damn good mom so I didn't understand why but having been through it w them myself in past they can do whatever they want w you have very little money and no family to help. Needless say she left the state a few days later and went bk home. I hated to see her go. And going bk to that state ment she was near that abusive ex again which hurt my heart even more. Cps the government they give no bucks what they do to these children psychologically oh yeah they put em in therapy and whatnot but there is some Families who do not deserve what cos does, they go poking their heads around families that are lower income and think that living in lower income families is gonna mess them up. No tearing them away from their Mothers& Father's the ones that are actually trying and saying well we can't sympathize because we have seen so many bad parents. That's what I was told basically. So because you have seen some bad ones now you just " assume " every low class family is shifty. That's like me saying every rich person is snobby and only cares about money which I know isn't true
Sorry 😞 I've just seen people's lives torn apart due to this service that's not a service at all. I understand there's bad parents but there's good parents too they make you jump through sometimes impossible hoops and then say well you didn't pass so no, you can't have your kid bk 🤷‍♀️and w you react then it's oh she's unfit because she's angry.
I was literally told I was unfit because I had depression and I had been honest about having depression so the judge was told I had mental health problems and wasn't safe for my son. I wanted to jump over the table and grab the lady telling these lies.
I'm getting my peer support certification so I can help struggling families w support and places that help and don't treat you like scum because you have a past or whatever the person may be struggling with.

Big fan of A24 and really wanted to like this film but I didn't. Those annoying spoiled kids never shut up and the storyline goes nowhere. It's a grotesque portrayal of America at its lowest. Don't waste your time or money!

I watched an interview and it was said that the whole point of the movie was to show a lifestyle that doesn’t get much coverage in the film world without really having a storyline. Based off what you said I’m guessing you’re the type of person to enjoy movies with more of a plot and anyone else like you probably shouldn’t watch this movie. Personally I enjoyed it though.
