    Hey man! Excellent format as always.
    Why on your second encounter did you not take wood? You had to produce to get the worker star and that would have allowed you to build with a move.

      Hey there, taking wood was tempting but I didn't take the option mainly because 2 coin is expensive and I did not have a good way to defend the resources. Being so expanded and low power compared to Nordic/Sax I felt that leaving resources on the table for two turns was high risk.

      Many good men died in this Great Polania-Saxony War. How do you play if you don’t get the upgrade and metal from the first encounter to build the 2nd mech? I often get stuck there. Thanks for sharing!

      @@KaiLukoff yea that can be tough, thankfully with industrial you can always trade out for it while you build your way up to max workers since the cost is relatively low. Sometimes, if the encounter is a dud, I will build a mine instead and go for another one right away.

    Big question, because this opening has failed me a couple times. Your videos (and FOMOF's) using this strategy, you guys get a great first encounter (metal/upgrade). When I've played this, I wasn't so lucky. On turn 6, what do you do? You can't trade for 2 metal, because my cost was still 3 metal. Like some pointers here. Could you lay out what your turn 6-8 would be in my scenario?

      Sure thing, I really like this opening because even if you get a total dud of an encounter you still have the speed mech, one building, and enough food to get one enlist. If you are not able to get enough resources for Submerge off of your encounter you HAVE to build the mine on the village. This will let you Trade > Enlist on turn 6 and MOVE > village enc on turn 7. Getting this second encounter you are looking for metal, an upgrade, a mech, etc. If you got another dud (RIP your luck) you can still produce on turn 8 and MOVE to factory on turn 9. Worst case scenario you get sent home empty handed after that 2nd encounter and still only have one mech but that is what I would be thinking about if my first encounter was not good. Hope that helps!
