What would you have done to get your third mech if you had not found metal or upgrade in the first encounter (3:33)? Trade for 2 metal? Or maybe build a mill on mountain instead of the armory? It seems like without a good encounter you are setting yourself up for a lot of trade actions.
No, never ideal to trade after the opening. Having done this many times and not gotten metal you build a mill on Iron and use your FC, other encounters, and even other player's resources to fill the gaps.
Surprised you haven’t taken a single upgrade. I’m a newbie, I’ve been told to follow the actions with the biggest rewards. I do get that you went as quickly as possible, and in that perspective buildings make sense as this is your movement bottom row action. Is this rushing strategy your (the) usual way to play Nordic Industrial?
Id love an upgrade if im able to find one but you gotta make the most of what you get--producing/trading for oil and then bolstering is often too slow to be competitive
Nordic Industrial is awesome, almost always makes for entertaining games - and this was no exception :) !
Good as always!
