Leaving for Fort Lauderdale in just a couple of short weeks for a cruise on the Majestic Princess. We will “employ” many of the tips you suggested. Thank you for all of your great tips.
Thanks for all the great tips!! I am prepping for a cruise but the last time I cruised was over 14 years ago. I've only been on an airplane for one trip so your helping me get super excited and not anxious!! You both are too cute
Another great video. We also enjoy spending a couple days in the port city before boarding the ship and using the airport lounges to make the whole travel experience a little less stressful (especially airport layovers!!!)
Great tips! We are recent lounge access travelers (through our credit card also) and love it! Not certain why we waited so long to do it! We love starting our vacation early with cocktails in the lounge!!
I love starting off in an airport lounge. A Nexus card is a must, I agree. As a solo traveller the Amex Card is great. I am heading to the Caribbean on a Celebrity Cruise in 2 weeks
Great video! I wish it wasn’t such a big first airplane journey from Vancouver to get eastward. We either have to fly to Montreal or Toronto then get a connecting flight to Miami or Fort Lauderdale. We are about to go on our next cruise in 2 months Yay!!! And decided to do a direct flight from Vancouver to Miami. It costs more but using our RBC Royal Reward points we got a good discount. This direct flight is just over 6 hours opposed to a 9-11 hour trip if we have to transfer with a layover. I am going to look at the AMX platinum card your mentioning to see if it has any value for us. We have been thinking about Nexus for a few years now… waiting for the best timing to do it when we would use it more.
Great tips, you've got this downpat. Our level 8 voyageur checked bags had their first flight. What a difference those made and did cut down stress. Happy New Year, cheers!
I live about 20/30 minutes from Metro Airport. I've only flown once but both times from metro, lol obviously. The expansion is super nice, My oldest and daughter in love are trying to get us to get a Nexus card. They live in Niagara Falls NY and swear by the Nexus card. lol the tunnel scares me but not as much as the Bridge. My husband is an anxious flyer and he's flown a lot when he was younger through his teens. Me not super anxious, feel more comfortable then driving over bridges.
@@CruisingCanucks We generally don't fly but definitely considering it since our kids are back in Buffalo Just to convince my grumpy husband, you'd think he was a grumpy old man but he's only 58 lol. I think I'll have the "kids" bug him, just tell them to pout, he's a sucker when they pout even though they are adults. lol
😡I just checked and of course Amex platinum doesn’t give you lounge access for Americans. We have the gold and I guess we’ll have to stick with that. I’m not sure the $200 a year fee increase is worth the platinum. Edit: It’s confusing but maybe there is(with multiple restrictions).
We just checked the USA version and it gives the same ‘Priority Pass’ access that works in most airports and also mentions the other lounges on other international airlines. So it looks the same as ours.
Do you need to fly the airlines in order to access their lounge? As an example, can you be on an Alaska flight but use your AmEx card to gain entry into Delta Lounge?
Thank you so very much for sharing this with me. I just love your video’s. Y’all have great idea’s
We're so glad you enjoy our videos! Thanks for watching.

Lots of great tips! Going to check out the Amex card.
It is definitely a great card if you travel frequently. We hope it works for you!

Such a wonderful feeling arriving in Florida and feeling the warm air hit us as we begin our next adventure!
@ ENJOY …HAPPY 🎈🛳️🎈for both of YOU
I used to fly out of Detroit all the time. Last time I flew out of Detroit was 2018 on my way to Hawaii.
We enjoy that airport over Toronto or many other places.
I'm a Canuck and we drive and fly out of Detroit and clearing customs at the border is so much easier than flying into the US from a Canadian airport
That is so our experience also.

That sounds wonderful. Have a fabulous cruise!🛳
We have recouped our Amex fee every year....love the lounges. Thanks for the tips.
That's great to hear! We find lounges have changed our view of air travel.

We totally agree about the Voyageur bags! They are life-savers! So easy to navigate through the crowds at airports. Happy New Year 🥳
Another great video!
We are so glad you are enjoying the series!
Great video. thanks

You should definitely get a Nexus card. We have saved many hours of our life avoiding long wait times at customs both driving and flying.

Love it 🥰 The same can be said for Mr.Canuck and his daughters.
Offer that referral link for Amex LOL
Great idea
