I never knew my dad so I grew up with my grandparents and my mom, my grandfather was also a truck driver so sometimes I looked at him very little but sometimes I also accompanied him on his trips, so I can say that I understand how it feels to see your dad so little, but I also consider that we were lucky to have someone in that amazing profession, I have great memories of the trips we made, and also a lot of respect for people who are truck drivers

I have the 400cc Eliminator, same bike in all other regards. It's great fun, torquey and nice and punchy at 7000rpm, loads of fun. The intake roar and exhaust sound are very throaty. It sounds way better then my z400. But, if you drop it, as I did when I grabbed too much front break turning at very low speed trying to get turned around on our narrow street after just finishing my first ride on it, you will damage plenty, including the gas tank. Other then that, it's a blast to ride, it loves being in the higher rpms and has fast revving motor

Case savers are something that protects the cases incase the bike falls over it doesn't get into the metal cases and cause a leak or damage to the engine block!
Enjoyed your stories Sir ! Nice review, pretty insightful, I'm currently considering it, but the power is a bit of a damper as I plan on taking it on the highway pretty often for 2-3 hours long trips. I hope they release a 650 soon as no other cruiser matches its style. 😒
I'm 64 and in order of capacity, my bikes have been 450cc, 750, 1100, 900 and 500. I went looking to buy a new CMX 500, but they also had a 450 Eliminator next to it. I'm conflicted, so I'd be grateful for any opinions. But I'm old and small, so I'm not looking for anything heavy or speedy. Cheers all, stay safe.
Thanks for the video. The Eliminator seems like a neat little bike. With it's 50 hp and lighter weught than the Vulcan S the performabce should be about the same. But I can buy a non ABS Vulcan S for just $700 more. So I think the 450cc Eliminator should have a lower price somewhere arounf $5800 then Kawasaki would sell a lot of them. Kawasaki really has their act together with all the parallel twins they are producing these days and all the models they put a arallel twin powerplant in. Go Kawasaki.
I owned a ninja 250 for a few years and put 15,000 miles on it and no one ever mentioned rev matching to me. when I first heard about it I thought it was strange because it seemed like it would hinder deceleration. I'm looking into getting a new bike, maybe the eliminator 450 and I plan on learning the rev matching, it seems simple, but I still wonder if there's any debate about it.
The passenger seat looks comfy, they make a back rest also , I think it would be fine as long as you stop every 2 to 3 hours. Thanks for watching my friend 🙏. Don't be a stranger!!
Ray, looking at this video again, I noticed a rectangular object strapped to your left wrist, and, the left side appears to be a viewing screen of some type. What is that please? I'm about to get into motorcycle riding after a 30 year wait. My "cc" range, because I'm a "NEWB" is 500-7500. I'm 58 years young and I think that this "cc" range is a sensible start point. Love your Texan drawl, and, may just have to get to Plano Texas to purchase that Eliminator model, or possibly, the Shadow" model. I look like a "senior" version of "Grizzly Adams"( burley teddy bear frame with a white moustache, beard and head hair). Doug

@@RayBowdenRides I will make an amendment to my previous comment. After putting about 2000 miles on it and letting the engine break in a bit, the mileage did improve. I could get around 72 mpg highway. Once again great video and a great bike!
I'm deciding between this and the Ninja 500. I love cruisers but always wanted to try a sports bike. I usually just ride slow and appreciate every minute. Don't care about speed

I had a Rebel 500 and for me, it was a great bike. Slipper clutch was fantastic, light and easy to ride. My personal negatives: The seat is a nightmare after 60 minutes. The gearing is too short. You can be changing into third gear by the time you've crossed the intersection at the traffic lights. it's an ugly looking tank set up. No matter, it was a terrific bike to ride. Edit: My bike had the engine fairing which helped improve the looks. Filled that huge empty space between the front wheel and motor.
It’s so strange I think I seen about 5/6 reviews on the eliminator other when yours and not one person have told about the room under the seat which I would think could be a big deal for some since I know people that don’t like having items in their pockets when they ride and without a room under the seat they would just have to get saddle bags or ride In a way they may be uncomfortable with while this bike have the space reviewers just don’t really talk about it

Definitely a nicer bike and a better looking front end than the Honda Rebel 300 & 500 because I absolutely hate the big fat tire but just like the Honda Rebel 300, 500 and 1100 I also absolutely hate the monochrome screen same apply to Vulcan S 650 I perfer the Color TFT Display
What i dont like to all big bikes was they dont have a USB to be charge for a phone..it needs for a long ride..they can provide quality but not for charging of phone

Meine Eliminator habe ich seit letztem Samstag und habe 665 km gefahren. Das ist eine Crouiser mit einem Ninja Motor! Mit Crouisen hat das nichts mehr zu tun! Vorsicht in den Kurfen (Der Auspuff könnte beschädigt werden.) Aber auf der geraden Straße liefert das Ding einfach nur ab. Viel Spaß und die Linke zum Gruß.✌🏻

Kawasaki is super fun & super low, very manageable!! That would be my choice from what you described!!!

Great bike although it doesn't anywhere close to 90 mpg. It is more like 50 mpg city and 65 at a constant 55 mph.

Edit: My bike had the engine fairing which helped improve the looks. Filled that huge empty space between the front wheel and motor.

It’s so strange I think I seen about 5/6 reviews on the eliminator other when yours and not one person have told about the room under the seat which I would think could be a big deal for some since I know people that don’t like having items in their pockets when they ride and without a room under the seat they would just have to get saddle bags or ride In a way they may be uncomfortable with while this bike have the space reviewers just don’t really talk about it

99% of bikes have no room , even if there is a tiny amount of room don't use it because the manufacturer may have that for parts to "breathe" .
I still cant decide whether to get a rebel 500 or this. Or not. Because i think I'll just be riding it twice or three times a month.

Definitely a nicer bike and a better looking front end than the Honda Rebel 300 & 500 because I absolutely hate the big fat tire but just like the Honda Rebel 300, 500 and 1100 I also absolutely hate the monochrome screen same apply to Vulcan S 650 I perfer the Color TFT Display

Meine Eliminator habe ich seit letztem Samstag und habe 665 km gefahren. Das ist eine Crouiser mit einem Ninja Motor! Mit Crouisen hat das nichts mehr zu tun! Vorsicht in den Kurfen (Der Auspuff könnte beschädigt werden.) Aber auf der geraden Straße liefert das Ding einfach nur ab. Viel Spaß und die Linke zum Gruß.✌🏻
