Legitimately almost made me tear up. This song is so incredibly peaceful and bittersweet. It's weird, since in the game it seems out of place; nothing sad is happening. You're just...there. At the mouth of the cave. But then you look back at your journey, on the verge of ending, and the song makes all the sense in the world.
This is bittersweet in its purest form. After sacrificing so much blood, sweat, and tears, you find your journey is nearing its end. You’ve collected all eight gym badges. You’ve raised up a team you’re proud to call your own. You’ve battled literal gods, taken down an entire organization, and saved the universe from cataclysm. Then this song begins to play...and the weight of everything you’ve done-and everything you’ve yet to do-hits you. You can do nothing but marvel as the piano both relaxes and saddens you to your core. Then the moment is over. It’s time to take on the Pokémon League. Go get ‘em, champ.

No other track in the Pokémon franchise has this vibe; this powerful thing you just feel when you look back at your journey throughout the game. The soundtrack in DPPt **is** special, and this track solidifies that. They had different intentions, they had a goal with the OST. Your rendition of this is magnificent, I don't think I'll ever listen to a better version.
i think route 10 from the fifth generation also really captured that feeling of reflecting on your journey, but it has a really different tone compared to this which is interesting. both themes suit the story and journey of each generation really well

This song hit me weird. The first time I played pearl as a kid and got to the final boss segment I didnt know how to feel. I felt... sad. Sad it was going to end. It was the first time a videogame made me feel that way. Which is why I searched for other games, to feel emotions that I never really could come to terms with. Thankyou Zame. It brings a tear to the eye.
I remember my first time completing Pokémon sapphire back as a kid. When I saw the words END I teared up because I didn’t want my Pokémon journey to be over.
I didn’t have a Problem with Cynthia to my surprise. The MOMENT I saw her, I thought, “Oh Snap, this is gonna get serious.” And I thought I would lose, but to my shock I didn’t. Today was the End of my Sinnoh Journey. So, I want to say this to my Pokemon. Empoleon, Staraptor, Gardevoir, Pachirisu, Glaceon, and Lucario, Thank you. You all have helped me become a better trainer. Before, back in Kalos, I was just a noob, didn’t know what I was doing. But now, thanks to Hoenn, Kanto, Galar, Sinnoh, Alola, and Kalos, Pokemon inspired me to become a better trainer. So, I thank you. May we have more adventures together.
This makes me think that all Pokemon movies ought to end with a rousing piano, the muted laughter of the characters in the background, as they all either walk into or sit and watch the sunset.
Sinnoh's soundtrack has always given me the feels... and it is especially true for this one. Every time I replay DPPt and reach the League, it gets to me in a way few musics do. Great remaster too.

I think what strikes me the most about this music is that it’s so quaint. We probably don’t think of that glorious cathedral at the top of the mountain when we hear this music, we think of that generic rocky cliff with the Pokémon center and the entrance into yet another cave system. But there’s something about that area that makes it stand out, and I don’t think I ever figured it out until listening to this glorious remaster of its music. This place means nothing on a greater scale. All meaning it has comes from you. In the grand scheme of things it’s some rocky plain with a waterfall. But to you, it’s that triumphant view over everything you’ve overcome, a place to rest and reflect. It’s a black canvas upon which your memories construct its significance. This music is for the travelers, not the area. It is music that applies to us, and to our nostalgic reminiscence as we look above the salty waves and those familiar rocky patterns, as we prepare to make the Sinnoh Region our own once and for all. Thanks Zame, you did this theme true justice. I’m legitimately crying now. And not because of my college finals. I wish I could find back the serenity and cheerfulness I had back in the time I was playing Diamond and Pearl with my best friend... Even though there may be a remake on the way, and as much as I may enjoy it, I am well aware this wont be the same. Listening to your tunes fills me with nostalgia, as well as a bit of sadness and serenity as I once felt it while playing the game. For that, I thank you. And for all you guys listening to this, I wish you the best.
Funny how I've been listening to the night version you made to get me to sleep nowadays. Sinnoh's music is absolutely memorable to a lot of people. I'm so glad you hit us with loads of nostalgia with this one, amazing work as always
Just yesterday I discovered one of your original compositions that has a written intro like that, and I thought: "Wow, that's touching, he should do that more often!" And then combined with this theme... so many emotions... 😭
Damn from looking at the thumbnail, i thought it was Dawn stretching her leg lmao. Beautiful piece btw. This is my favorite track from Sinnoh and, i think, my favorite one from the whole series
I started playing Pearl back in June 2007 when I got it as a present after I was done with 5th grade. I remember coming to the league after beating victory road and I just took my time relaxing and walking those steps as I listened to this beautiful music before I faced the Elite Four. I can't wait for the remakes this November. I'm going to play Pearl first just like I did when I first started in Sinnoh.
When listening to the whole thing I was consistently reminded of the struggle I had during my first nuzlocke in Platinum. When starting off I chose piplup (whom I named Jenna because female piplup) because I genuinely loved the starter so much. My first partner after that became a starley (Sean) and then afterwards a shinx (Olly) I eventually challenged the first gym and it's where I got my first experience at how tough the game really was. I almost lost my starter and if it wasn't for a crit I would've lost. After some training I found more friends I took with me such as my cleffa (Jupiter) and my Rapidash (Klaire) and venturing into every cave and forest I could find my final last party member was a Gibble (Horas) and I was determined to keep playing more and more as they all grew with me with every intense battle. There was a point where my starter got poisoned and I was near sunnyshore city during the blackout. At 10 hp I kept hearing her with as many oran berries as I can cause I ran out of pecha and poison heals as soon as I got to the pokecenter and checked Jenna's hp it was at 1 hp I broke into tears thanking whatever rng said this pokemon will survive (at the time I didn't know what poison tick damage was and I was scared beyond belief and didn't realize they don't feint after they hit 1 hp but I didn't see the message appear saying they shook it off) from then on I continued to challenge the entire rest of them. And surprised I came this far without losing anyone and having friends I never knew I could have. When arriving here, at the pokemon league I just couldn't stop crying for 15 minutes straight cause of all the memories flooding back of how I nearly lost all of my best friends. The ending unfortunately.... I did win... But I lost everyone including Jenna and that was because of outrage killing garchomp at the last sliver of hp.
I EXPLODED WITH CHILLS SECOND HALF, I was NOT ready for that! Beautiful, amazing stuff! I say this every time, but all of the music you do is absolutely amazing! Might've brought some tears,,, being my first game and introduction to pokemon as a whole gen 4 holds a special place in my heart (Pokemon being my first exposure to other music other than the radio it's really influenced my musical taste, pianos and spicy chords) The way you took this theme and flew with it has me speechless, the instrument change, the whole sum of it, mmmmmmmmm,,, I could listen forever.
the song itself and your remastered version of it, are both underrated, genuinely, you dont see many videos or anything with this song or anything like that, but its such a beautiful piece of music, and honestly, it gives me such strong emotions i normally wouldn't feel, or hell, even let out and show, but this makes me feel safe and comfortable enough to let it all out, makes me think of a dying mother that has only a few day until her son's birthday to live, and she's trying her best to not let the child feel sad or know that she'll die, just trying to spend her last moments, keeping her son happy
I like how you kept the beginning faithful to the original and added effects only at parts. It dramatizes it quite a lot and hits even harder in the feels T^T
This brought so many memories. Pokemon Platinum was the first game I'd ever owned and once I finished I just remembered listening the Pokemon League Music. U sir did a well done job with the opening
Very few songs make me cry, but Sinnoh Pokémon League is one of those few songs, and you manage to capture the feelings this song evocate very well. Thanks for making me cry again, Zame, because that means you've touched my heart in some way.
I love how the last note ends unresolved, it really conveys the feeling that this truly is the calm before the storm, and your journey isn’t finished quite yet. So close to the end, and yet miles to go before I sleep. Awesome job!
Thank you so so much for the remix. This song, among many others like it, have meant a LOT this year. Sounds absolutely wonderful. (LOVE that you kept the dissonant notes in! Other remixes take them out, taking away from the musicality and purpose of the song)
This, the Gym Leader theme, and the theme when you enter the champion room - these are the three themes from D/P/Pt that I can play on piano, because they are my favorite. Thank you for this masterpiece, Zame.
"Another journey is about to end. You've survived, you need some rest. Why don't you sit back and relax? Are you ready? Just close your eyes". On a children's Pokémon game? (Semicit.) That's the most deep thing I've ever seen. It spouses with the music
This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for bringing back my childhood memories from when I first played through pokemon Diamond back in 2007. Keep up the good work
I remember doing a nuzlocke of platinum. I finished training in Victory Road and went out for the last time. I remember staring at the waterfall, thinking of the journey that has taken place, and the hardships yet to come. I listened to this theme, lamenting the deaths that had happened, and the deaths yet to come, and I was overcome with emotion. This remaster captures this feeling perfectly....
This nuzlocke has taken me months, now I'm finally here and I hear this. For once I turn my game volume up and listen to the song. I teared up, this version brings a whole new context and level of depth I never knew I needed. An absolute masterpiece you've made...
Brilliant choice to start the ending of this dreadful year. ^^ Sinnoh imo, always had the most beautiful pokémon league theme. Everyone has their choices when it comes to the most nostalgic or best, but the sinnoh league will possibly always be the most beautiful. ♥ Love the opening too. And well done to you too for making all these awesome remixes during this time ;)
Oh dear... I almost completely forgot about my experiences I had with Pearl, a bit over 10 years ago when I played my first main series game. But with this, the memories I thought I had lost come flooding back. Thank you for the years of content, Zame. And here's to many years more! I tip my hat to you, as you never fail to truly capture the original feel of great music while also giving it a modern feel. I don't think many other people alive could come close to what you do, and I greatly appreciate that. Thank you, once again.
I never knew this piece needed those string and choral parts until now, and wow do they ever bring it to another level. Thank you for sharing this with everyone.
Many have already said it, but wow, 1:43 is absolutely amazing. So many memories of reaching the Pokémon League with my Luxray, my Infernape and my Crobat
Well darn. This remaster of this nostalgic and heartfelt theme from Gen 4 is awesome. No, awesome is the wrong word. This remaster is immaculate and encapsulates every ending, every parting, and every moment of hope and anxiety. Thanks, Zame. This was perfect.
I always find myself coming back to various covers of this song around the end of my exams, and honestly, with those ending and quite the hectic year, it’s quite a relief hearing such a wonderful remastering of something that, to me, encapsulates looking to the past, or the journey, from that journey’s ‘end’. The melancholy stemming from both the memories made during that time and the somber intonations of the piano, violin, etc. and to me, that’s something special, a song that can embody both the player’s journey from Twinleaf to the elite four, and their journey through each year, month, or even multiple years.
A true champion knows that the end of one league is never truly the end of the journey. Just a part of it. The battles, hardships, and challenges may be over, but the memories and feelings will remain. I never stayed still to fully appreciate this theme. Now, I get a bittersweet feeling when I hear this. Like I have to say goodbye to some dear friends soon. Thank you for the song, Zame. With how this year has been, we need something nice to ease our weary souls.
The calm and serenity that this song brings is outstanding. It's melancolic and specially bittersweet, the thought of your journey ending, the league in front of you and all you did to get there. This song represents those feelings perfectly
1:43 ZAME I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS. You made this track so much better than the original ever was. Man... Also, I feel like the track should've ended on 3:03 but that's just my opinion
I'm getting ready to graduate college, and this song made me think back to 2nd grade when I arrived at Pokemon League for the first time. It felt like I'd worked so hard to get so far in that game, and there I was right at the final hurdle. Just one more thing left to do to accomplish my goals. I feel silly saying it, but today this song just hit me even harder realizing that I'm nearing the end of my own journey as an undergrad student, and I feel similarly to how I did back in my childhood room with my DS. Thank you Zame for reworking these masterpieces and reminding us of the childhood we came from and the obstacles we've overcome.
Just reminds me of simpler times. As well as that sense of journey the older Pokemon games gave that I feel is lacking nowadays, it just doesn't feel the same. This is perfect. Also this fanart is gorgeous.
Although I was not a fan of this amazing game when it was new.. I deeply feel how it has affected people's life, helped them to the future.. I joined Pokémon in 2010 when HG/SS was out.. I never appreciated the series until B/W.. And in 2013 when I found out about D/P/Pt, it changed my feel for the series.. And this song.. reminds me of the day I beat the league.. The day that changed my life.. Thank you, Zame
Platinum was my favorite Pokémon game when I was younger, but for the life of me I can't remember this song. Even without a reference, in current year, this hits like a truck, thanks.
Every time I climb the waterfall in front of Sinnoh Pokémon League and listen to this music I always think about how I trained my team for this moment. "Was the enough? Or I need some more training?"
Wow. This is incredible. The original itself is one of the best soundtracks of all time- and this one is even better. Thank you very much for this arrangement. Stay safe!
This theme really does represent making it to the end of a journey. When it was the last week of my military training and I was about to come home to serve in the guard, I thought about this song a lot. Can’t wait to hear this in the remakes!

The nostalgia, the freaking nostalgia man, brings me back when I was in grade 8 playing Diamond version, ahhhh sweet memories
wow your added touches were amazing! nice work.
Funny how I've been listening to the night version you made to get me to sleep nowadays.
Sinnoh's music is absolutely memorable to a lot of people. I'm so glad you hit us with loads of nostalgia with this one, amazing work as always
Just yesterday I discovered one of your original compositions that has a written intro like that, and I thought: "Wow, that's touching, he should do that more often!"
And then combined with this theme... so many emotions... 😭
I literally listened to the night version last night. It's like you read my mind 🥺 Thank you so much for this!
Damn from looking at the thumbnail, i thought it was Dawn stretching her leg lmao. Beautiful piece btw. This is my favorite track from Sinnoh and, i think, my favorite one from the whole series
i used to slide my ds under my pillow and fall asleep to this song when i would wake up from nightmares. it's such a calming song for me. thank you.
That poor little Piplup didn’t deserve to go like that. Im so sorry for it.
😢
Congratulations on your first nuzkocke. It was a fulfilling one but not without sacrifices
I EXPLODED WITH CHILLS SECOND HALF, I was NOT ready for that! Beautiful, amazing stuff! I say this every time, but all of the music you do is absolutely amazing! Might've brought some tears,,, being my first game and introduction to pokemon as a whole gen 4 holds a special place in my heart (Pokemon being my first exposure to other music other than the radio it's really influenced my musical taste, pianos and spicy chords) The way you took this theme and flew with it has me speechless, the instrument change, the whole sum of it, mmmmmmmmm,,, I could listen forever.
the song itself
and your remastered version of it,
are both underrated, genuinely, you dont see many videos or anything with this song or anything like that, but its such a beautiful piece of music, and honestly, it gives me such strong emotions i normally wouldn't feel, or hell, even let out and show, but this makes me feel safe and comfortable enough to let it all out,
makes me think of a dying mother that has only a few day until her son's birthday to live, and she's trying her best to not let the child feel sad or know that she'll die,
just trying to spend her last moments, keeping her son happy
It’s so relaxing men thank you for that remaster Zame !
I can't believe an arrangement is this good. The violins added something that the original song didn't have. Hits really, really hard
Gen 4 will always be my favorite generation of pokemon
(Semicit.)
That's the most deep thing I've ever seen. It spouses with the music
At 1:43 I start to get strong Xenoblade vibes, which is amazing because that game has one of my favorite OSTs of all time. Phenomenal work :)
Wake up! 2020? COVID? What are you talking about? Its 2006. Lets go play Diamond and Pearl!
I used to not like this theme when I was younger because it made me sad. So it’s ironic that it’s now one of my favourite themes.
What a gorgeous piece! I've never gotten far enough in Gen IV games to hear this track but now I sure as heck want to get there!
This nuzlocke has taken me months, now I'm finally here and I hear this. For once I turn my game volume up and listen to the song. I teared up, this version brings a whole new context and level of depth I never knew I needed. An absolute masterpiece you've made...
this seems like the song that would play when you have your first kiss at the playground in the evening by the swing
R.I.P Goonathan Gooey, you were a hero to us all.
Brilliant choice to start the ending of this dreadful year. ^^
Sinnoh imo, always had the most beautiful pokémon league theme. Everyone has their choices when it comes to the most nostalgic or best, but the sinnoh league will possibly always be the most beautiful. ♥
Love the opening too. And well done to you too for making all these awesome remixes during this time ;)
Zame, this is one of the most beautiful pieces you've recreated and for that I thank you.
Now just imagine standing next to a giant waterfall with the pokemon league at the top. What a beautiful sight to see once exiting victory road.
Why would I want to close my eyes and miss this amazing art
I played very little gen 4 (like 2 hours maybe) but this song gives me such a nostalgic and peaceful feeling. You truly are amazing at making music.
I never knew this piece needed those string and choral parts until now, and wow do they ever bring it to another level. Thank you for sharing this with everyone.
Not only is it relaxing, but also heart touching. I sincerely appreciate this work. Loved it. Great job, dude. And keep up the good work!
Wow this is really beautiful! The piano and violin go well together!
I am in tears. This is beyond amazing!
Remember you made it this far! Keep going! I know you can do this!
I closed my eyes and listened to the full track, and I don't regret it one bit :)
For some reason, I keep forgetting how good DPP's soundtrack is... Thanks for reminding me! ^_^
I listen to all the DPPT ost and remasters and look to the sky and think about how much those games made my childhood the greatest it can be.
This track really needed those violins
Ima listen to this every New Years Day
This feels quite fitting to play during graduation from high school or college
Just finished exams yesterday. Between that and 2020, I think I needed this
A true champion knows that the end of one league is never truly the end of the journey.
I feels good to see someone has worked on remastering such a precious piece to me as this one, and it's beautiful! thank you!
An absolute master piece thank you for this. The piano was spot on.
The calm and serenity that this song brings is outstanding. It's melancolic and specially bittersweet, the thought of your journey ending, the league in front of you and all you did to get there. This song represents those feelings perfectly
Having listened to a lot of these remasters, I have concluded that Zame is incapable of making bad music.
I absolutely love these
1:43 ZAME I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS. You made this track so much better than the original ever was. Man...
Also, I feel like the track should've ended on 3:03 but that's just my opinion
This has truly got to be one of the best remastered themes ever it’s so beautiful and rich in nostalgia. Pokemon hire this man 😩👏🏻
Holy fuck... I definitely did not expect the string section. That was masterfully put together! Very well done!
The sinnoh games were the peak of pokemon every Pokémon fan needs to play them, thanks for keeping our childhood memories alive
This is insane, I just want to listen in the rain and feeling the music
find the easter egg
It's so fitting hearing it on December 2020
After all ....
Holy cow bro
That intro just made the song hit me harder
Thanks
this is one of the most beautiful things i have ever heard, marvelous work
Platinum was my favorite Pokémon game when I was younger, but for the life of me I can't remember this song.
Thank you so much for this, Zame, you filled me with tears of joy :,)
Well atleast something good came up on my birthday. yay (wonderful remaster)
Happy birthday!!
@@The_Zame thank you!
Happy birthday!
Have a Happy Birthday
Really? Well... Happy birthday
