She runs for 24 hrs straight to win the race. Instead of sitting down and hydrate, she hugs her husband. Then runs around to give a 1000 fans a high five. What a amazing person and champion.
It's funny to say but this is a relatively short race for her. She runs the triple crown 200 series in America. That's the bigfoot 200 Mile, Tahoe 200 and Moab 240. Shes a beast
She is such a beautiful human being. Whenever I have a crappy day I watch this again. Always, ALWAYS, Makes my day better! Thank you Courtney for being you!
This woman is so incredible I love her desire and determination what a super woman the something special and emotional watching someone go thru these ultra marathon
Had my eyes glued on UTMB live streaming all night long as I watched Courtney do her final but brutal ascent to Tête aux Vents and to see her arriving at the finish line in Chamonix! Such an unforgettable coverage and what an inspiration she is!😍
The most mutually Joyful end to any sporting competition i've ever seen. Totally authentic. Ultra running , in itself, humbles the people doing it, and, watching it. Relief achievement and appreciation. The relief from the competitor in finishing the course, and also the relief that the crowd has knowing she got home safely. All everyone sees is the finish and the start and the pre/ post race interviews. When you are up there in the elements the mind fighting the body for some form of harmony and survival it must get lonely. I saw the finish and it brought a tear to my eye. Bog standard stuff for her i suppose thankfully in a world that still rresponds to humility and endeavour but that may need reminding what its all about from time to time.
She was a champ in high school, winning everything without much effort, she just decided to become a teacher and then returned to being an athlete and returned to winning. A lot.
they know how to do these things in Europe, the people turn out to cheer on the athletes. You don't get crowds at bicycle races in the US like they get at the Tour de France either.
Well done Courtney your amazing I'm a runner and I do sprint training and mountain climbing with my dad your an inspiration to me and I want to be like you how did you get in to utra running thanks Joe quick question and I vape can I still do what you do even if i vape or not
A great video, which i have watched over and over again. However, something odd happens 1min 20sec into the clip. The camera is behind Courtney with the river directly on the right hand side of the course. When the picture changes to view Courtney from the front the river has gone? The race time doesn't seem to indicate that the video has been clipped?
Yes a very good spot but I wouldn’t be too concerned they have trackers on them so their finish times would be accurate that’s all that matters. Good spot though. I love Courtney she has been my number 1 inspiration for my running and becoming a better runner. I come back to this video a lot as well. I will be on that start line one day it’s my ultimate running goal. I was a very big guy a few years ago but got into running and have lost 100 pounds I’m becoming a better runner all the time and could never have dreamed to run an event like this but one day I will.

yeah shes not exactly the sitting down type
you wouldn't sit down anyway, one needs to cool down:)
A true champion and amazing ambassador for the sport.
Seriously. She's a champ forreals with a sweet heart.

Her smile, her attitude, her grit, her determination and her humbleness really shine through! How can one not love her?
So true!!!
totally
She is special
could not agree more
True, amazing personality
It’s really hard to not absolutely love here her grit, he perseverance, but mostly her absolutely amazing personality.
Gosh, the love they showed Courtney made me cry. Best thing I've seen in a long time.
For sure, I love the way they do the finishes in Europe. We could use some pomp and circumstance in America for the end of our ultras
She is such a beautiful human being. Whenever I have a crappy day I watch this again. Always, ALWAYS, Makes my day better! Thank you Courtney for being you!
Uncommon amongst the uncommon. What an amazing human. 🍻!!!

I'm crying in tears watching Courtney's face at the finish line...

I watch this video hundreds of times, and always get allergies.

It was a live coverage. The only footage you can see on UTMB now is her arrival at the finish line.

Courtney is a living legend. What an inspiration.
Next year they need to have a live orchestra and choir playing when the winner comes in. Would be EPIC.
Do you have any idea what song is that?

Pure joy! What a gift to share in this moment with her. Loved the coverage all week. This was highlight for me.
Are you kidding me she won? I guess shes gonna have to admit shes a pro athlete. Good for her
She was a champ in high school, winning everything without much effort, she just decided to become a teacher and then returned to being an athlete and returned to winning. A lot.
She’s the best. And she didn’t take the flag. This isn’t about country - this is about being your best self.
there's no contradiction there
Fantastic work, Courtney. Absolutely phenomenal.
She is Wonderwoman in every sense of the word.
She is the very best of humanity.
The whitest teeth in ultra running!
She can brush for 24 hours straight...
Don't care much tbh
Courtney, You Did It. Thank You. From California, USA.
Such an amazing accomplishment, because of her injury in WS100. Amazing. She was only green lighted to run a week weeks before the race.
CRYING MY EYES OUT 👀 😭
Gratitude reciprocates. Congrats Courtney!
Courtney is ONE OF A KIND!!!

Mi è piaciuta tantissimo. Nonostante la strada fatta ha avuto ancora una forza incredibile nel trascinare il pubblico con la sua prorompente felicità.

You get no other 100 mile race with a crowd like that.
The crowds in St Gervais and other places around the route were great also
Johannes probably western states
@@danielfarrugia3884trail don't attract the same amount of public in US as i Europe.

I like how she runs in basketball shorts lol. She seems like a very humble/down-to-earth person.
4:55 "The two handed method"
I have admired that many times before on the internet....
Amen

That girl.... shows greathness!
courtny won no 1 as well this year
0:20 The French pronunciation of her name is definitely the most epic.
Tan grande como humilde. Enorme
What a role model 👌
That reminded me of Rocky the original when he runs with the kids... rather uplifting... that girl is incredible
i adore her...
The most beautiful smile I've ever seen
My hero 🙌
What did she do? No description for those of use not-in-the know...
Arguably the most competitive ultra marathon in the world. 106 miles with 32,940 ft of elevation gain.
i love this girl
magnifique !!!
j'adore les commentaires français....."elle à eu énormements de problèmes gastriques"...."elle à rien lâché". :-)
Anyone knows the background music at 5:30?
Vangelis- " Conquest of Paradise" .
I wouldn't say "born champion" she obviously worked insanely hard to get there.
