I love it when these scammers just keep biting the hook of "should I pay the bank now?" No matter how many hours have already been wasted, the chance that maybe the NEXT message won't be more inane nonsense is just too enticing to them.
hey, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
what the scammers don't seem to notice, though, is that in this case they're trying to hit a moving basket. from outside the arena. with a lead basketball.
…also, the basket doesn't actually exist. not even hypothetically.
They are falling for the same scam they are attempting. That's what makes this so hilarious.

It's incredibly stunning to me that people feel some kind of entitlement for you helping them get money back from a scam. Asking for help is one thing, but getting upset when you tell them you can't help blows me away. Keep Rockin my friend, you do more than your share to help people avoid scams 👍
I suppose its desperation. I've had a couple of emails this Week that were along the lines 'you HAVE to help me!' - even if I had the time, and wanted to spend my time doing that all day, I simply can't do anything useful, except tell people to go to the police and their bank.
@@AtomicShrimp yeah. It isn't like you have their money.
Yes it's desperation. People sometimes lose their manners when they're desperate. Been there.
@Creatotron That analogy was perfect lol.
@@tabby73 I can sympathize with that, especially when one has lost a lot of money. But if someone can't help, they can't help and they must understand that
I think a great demonstration of the "most scam baits go no where" thing can be best observed by watching someone like Kitboga who streams many of his attempts live. A lot of those attempts don't go that far, but every now and then you'll get one that spans the course of several callbacks and those are the ones that typically end up on his youtube. And the five-minute calls usually do not get posted unless something interesting happens very quickly.
Ah yes, the infamous "Steve Vatson" baited to death over 10+ hours, do not redeeeeem! Do you don't vont your money, and so on.

Hi meme meee. I thought your comment was so funny that I read it aloud to a person who took it seriously! Best laugh I've had in a long time, so thanks.
Do you get paid for 16 hours of work or only 8? Or maybe the payment system of the Beige network is so fast you only get paid for 4? But what if you are sick, do you get the full time off or just half the day?
How many Clodes does your Beige Network Sector make available to you? My Sector gives me no less than 5 but no more than 5 Clodes, which makes Expanding Transfers even more streamlined, unlike BDO Transfers that Stipple the Clode, and then you have to contact the Clode Administrator to Un-Stipple the Clode, but even that it can be Stoppled by the Clodding System...
Personally I just stick with the Beige Network, it's the simplest way to avoid Stipples and Stopples.

To the "Um, Achually" people: Did it ever occur to you that Atomic Shrimp and Jim Browning aren't the same person?
They also don't handle the same type of scammer. Jim Browning deals with tech support scams where he has the scammer connect to his (virtual) PC, which he somehow uses to get into their own PC and install a RAT (remote access trojan). The RAT is how he is able to keep an eye on the scammer and help victims, but he can only do so while he is connected, and only while the scam is in progress.
Atomic Shrimp deals with advance-fee scams, which are generally conducted by email. He doesn't have the same opportunity to get into the scammer's PC that Jim has. I suppose theoretically he could somehow trick the scammer into installing a RAT (say, by disguising it as a passport) and get in that way but I believe most webmail and desktop email clients prevent that, and they might not even be using a PC these days (and if they were it might be a public computer where they don't have admin access).

That was genius. The phrase: 'Beige Nozzle' had me crying with laughter. Nice one. 👍👍👍
Part of CoinSquirt no doubt.
i feel like a lot of trouble could have been saved early on if the bank just checked with The Johnson.
I don’t get why they persisted after you claimed the account was being investigated for fraud. As far as they know, either you’re telling the truth, in which case you can’t do it, or you’re lying, in which case you’re on to them. Either way the scam’s over
Because no matter how small the chance, it doesn't take much time to direct him to a new bank account and he might just pay. Just like him, they are used to most of their target not biting, that's why they are used to insist and take any chance even if it seems doomed to failure, just in case... Except since that's how they make a living, they are even more motivated. That's why these videos can happen.
It could technically have been wrongly flagged, it’s not uncommon for people to falsely report sites.
The bitcoin thing gave me a great idea! Try to “pay” the scammers with an NFT, and send them a screenshot. You can also either claim to have actually purchased it with crypto, or pretend that you don’t understand NFTs at all and claim that the screenshot *is* the NFT
I really liked the scrolling response visual. Helped show that this was a back and forth conversation more, and helped refresh my memory of the past few events.
Hi Shrimp, I know you'll surely never see this, but thank you so much for the videos you do. I've been stuck abroad for several years now due to a combination of COVID and paperwork shenanigans, and your content is the only thing that helps my homesickness for England. Thank you!

I wasn’t scammed, but a security flaw in my bank went undetected and all of my life savings was drained. The bank and authorities have taken control of the situation, but it has been three months of not having access to my account. There’s nothing that can be done, only can wait to see what the proper resources are able to do to help.
Damn man that sucks, hope you get it back, especially since its not your fault
What bank is this please?
My bank account has a very similar flaw. For some reason I am allowed to spend it. Every time I check it seems there is more missing. I hope you find a solution to your problem dear beneficiary, because I think my only hope is a deceased relative leaving me a small fortune. :(
I love how the scammer goes back and forth between his account like some sort of schizophrenic with dissociative identities. It's quite telling that they are not paying attention
First time I've ever seen a scammer start cursing. That's when you know they popped a blood vessel.
My experience with Wells Fargo (I have an account there) is that they take quite an interest in fraud and scams. They are a bit more responsive if you have an account with them, though my personal interaction has only been to report phishing messages I've received. Pretty sure I've been to that branch office, btw, as they only have a couple in Lakeville and I used to do a lot of business in the southern suburbs. Pointless, I know, but it amused me.
If only Wells Fargo would take some interest in the fraud and scams INSIDE their own organization (i.e. opening accounts without customer permission ..all fixed we got rid of that employee and paid the huge fine....... a few years later FDIC and/or FTC examining Wells Fargo again ...all fixed we got rid of that employee and paid the huge fine....... a few years later FDIC and/or FTC examining Wells Fargo again rinse repeat....)
just out of curiosity i looked up Wells has paid over $4 Billion in fines since 2016...Which averages $1 billion per year just part of doing business i guess...
Purple is indeed the best color, but Beige had me giggling a LOT. Thank you for another great time. You are a true artist.
Always nice to get a confirmation regarding the passage of time.
I can just imagine the scammer salivating at first, spending the upcoming loot in his imagination. Their frustration level must have gotten off the charts.
"Why are you arguing about this like some sort of small boy?" Surprised he didn't start seeing red after that
"I did an expanding transfer to myself, which means I now have enough funds for half the amount"
Why didn't I think of sending myself an expanding transfer...
Why are "be rest assured", "OK" and "thank you" so commonly used by scammers ?
My guess? Probably a normal phrase in their native language, which they don't realize doesn't sound quite right in English. I made the same mistake a lot when learning Spanish, where I'd repeat words/phrases that technically were Spanish but sounded off/weird to the people I was speaking with (especially how often I'd say them).
From my own experience, "rest assured" is a little confusing when you first hear it, especially if you learn that "the rest" can mean "the remaining part of something". I guess their native grammar confuses them in some other way, so they try to fill in the gap with another verb to make it sound "right".
I’m watching this while eating some nice Gouda and let me please tell you that scam baiting and cheese pair very nicely.
Living the dream tbh
Whine and cheese is a pretty popular combination, I hear
Is this true that you may fascinate a woman by giving her a piece of cheese?
Absolutely brilliant video. The way you go through that FAQ is so good. The only problem is those emails will never stop as long as they think scambaiting = hacking the scammers
Oh Shrimp, your money was too lukewarm for them.
It wasnt coolmoney
“Thank you for the confirmation regarding the passage of time” will be now my go to phrase when someone tells me I am late.
I've been watching all your scam baiting vids and just caught up, and I'm so glad we got a continuation of these guys. I've also been watching a lot of your other content as well (a lot of weird stuff in a can) and just wanna say, I love the channel, keep up the great content!

The small boy cameo always makes me lol :') love this.
I love this! The responses just get more and more irate..... hilarious!
Something about how you reffered to him as "The Johnson" continuously throughout the whole exchange had my dying laughing.
Maybe next time I watch this one I'll take a shot every time you say it
Another advantage of the Beige Network is that glarded funds are automatically inoppolotied, even if you don't have the certificate.
The small boy comments are so out of nowhere and antagonizing i love it
This is the funniest video of yours that I've had the pleasure to watch so far. Both sides provided enormous entertainment, especially the "you're stupid thank you" line and your questions about the passage of time. I've been crying laughing for the past 20 minutes
Another great video! It's odd that the scammer didn't want to receive a quarter of the funds (which'd be over $500 I assume); I wonder how much he'd have raged if you'd have sent him an absurdly small amount like you did with Nigerian Naira. A shame that there's no way (I assume) to safely transfer a tiny amount of money to the scammer's accounts.
Also, your voice is so soothing and calm, your videos are my go-to background noise. Have you ever considered publishing audiobooks, possibly of public domain works? Somehow you reading Dickens just seems appropriate.
In some circumstances it could be done safely, but it's a finisher he's used before. The time investment might be more than it's worth. Western Union or even bitcoin might be easy enough, but having to explain to an actual bank that you set up an account, however small, to intentionally get scammed might strain their patience. Oh, and I second the Dickens idea... Great Expectations would be a perfect start.
I AM HERE FOR IT
I want him to read Blood Meridian just for the contrast between his voice and the brutal events of the book.
I had never heard of scambaiting before I found your channel, but I love these videos now. Your humour and persistence are admirable.
I am very happy that this video was released on the perfect day, April Fool’s. You certainly do make fools of these scammers, after all.
But, unfortunately, none of this really clears up my concerns about the bits and coins. How do I turn the coins into bits, and how will the wallet turn them back into coins once I send the bits to the wallet’s address? Is this wallet a certified, professional bits-coiner or something?
These never get old
You are very entertaining yet instructive on how to wind up scammers. I would never engage a scammer on the phone, but this sort of run-around would be right up my alley. Keep up the good work.
I love how the “small boy” gag lives on.
I think Beige Channel Squirt might be the second or third funniest combination of words in all of human history
26:23 "Im not here to argue which one of us is right and which one is wrong. Because you are the one thats wrong".
This is GOLD and I need this on a shirt haha
Great video and I have to agree with the comments from yourself and Jim Browning about the small amount of success with these scammers. I tried it out myself and just found that it wasn't worth my time. For the most part if you do get someone on the hook it just becomes a battle of them saying "Where is the money?" and you trying to invent reasons to hold off the payment. Most of them go silent.
"Beige Valve" to "Beige Aperture" is brilliant
I was hoping to see you send images of coins cut into pieces asking if you did the bitting process correctly.
There's something comical about the way you calmly respond and read these messages.
The fact you're subbed to Internet comment etiquette with Erik tells me what I already know you're a shrewd, discerning and cultured man.👌♥️
when that cool money hits, so refreshing
I will never tire of you accusing the scammers of being small boys.
AS - I originally got to your channel for the scam baiting, and stayed for the other stuff which is even better! How difficult/draining is it for you to make the scam baiting stuff, and tolerating the rude replies? (though I guess this particular scammer was much more patient than the others)
Getting an abusive email from someone trying to act so professionally, is a big win.
Whenever a scammer in one of your videos says something about you wasting their time, I know you're doing your job right. Because they acknowledged that you are wasting too much of their time, but yet they keep trying, mindlessly replying...
2:48 that reply to a never sent email is unbelievably funny. Thanks for baiting that out of them
I do love that you call them small boy, I feel like it really gets under their skin

The shouty caps, profanities and calling you an idiot or stupid followed by "thank you" cracked me up.

"One quarter portion" keeps running through my head when Atomic Shrimp said quarter payment lol
I really love the use of "Mange Tout" as a pseudonym - it implies you'll "eat anything" and take any bait
I love listening to your voice & watching your videos. I always learn something, usually laugh or smile, and I always leave the video wanting more! 😀
Interesting usage of the verb "George" from the scammer
God will George you
I lowkeye respect your quick "i can't help everyone." We're only human afterall.
God will surely George that fake bank for insulting a potential client!
I am in TEARS over “please take your cash money to any bitcoin vendor around you…” 😭
I think I see the problem, you asked them for their Beige Aperture but you neglected to give them your Black Mesa Protocol ID so they could Portal into the Beige Valve Steamworks. Also, I'm not sure if you know this, but utilizing an expanding transfer of funds in the way you describe can create a Resonance Cascade Scenario and potentially crash the systems of both banks!
This is bad.
You really should follow the proper protocols and keep your funds in your bank's Orange Box until it's cleared by their GLaDos representative for a safe and secure expanding transfer. Otherwise you could find your funds floating around a Xen account or something, and frankly nobody needs to crowbar your money away from that.
This was so funny. I thought watching one of your videos like usual would help me calm down but I ended up walking my whole house up at 12am because I couldn't stop laughing. I love this chanel so much

Another point to consider is if you use any of the magic words on a public page or channel either on RUclips or Facebook you will get a plethora of scammers pretending to help you to recover lost funds. So In case you weren't scammed enough the first time they'll be happy to scam you a second time.

It has to be more cool
Every scammer, at some point, trots out the "wasting my time" line. Well as the scammer's time is as worthless as it is, baiters are really at liberty to waste as much scammer time as they see fit.
I'd love to see you challenge yourself by going heavy into the "I'm extremely pour so this is a blessing. I have no money and you came at the right time" idea. See how long (or how quickly) a scammer can be roped in by desperation. And add another nail in the coffin of how low these scammers go. The whole single parent route who needs money for nearly houseless kids. A real challenge to see how well you can spin them
These people probably scammed so much they don't see their victims as anything more than a cash bag. Its like when you play guitar with metal strings a lot, the skin on your fingers numbs and you dont feel pain anymore.
Thankyou so much for the prolonged belly laugh ,This was one of your best ! Don't make too many I get complaints and my neighbour thinks I am sinking into madness .
Thank you for still doing these after all the years. It's noble work. Would you ever record a call with any telemarketing scammers? It would be classic 👌

Your idea using fake English words is simply genius! These conversations are hillarious! Keep going! Subbed and will keep watching! U clearly made it into my list of rolemodels :D Thank you very much for the big smile you put on my face!
I like how you took time to explain why you can not help people and how hard scam baiting can be. I must admit i never thought about that, the videos make it look very easy to do.
I was lucky enough to recover over $700 for my husband's Aunt (in her early 90s) who was scammed by people pretending to be from Microsoft. She told me about being sold a "lifetime support account" for Microsoft Windows. I recognized the scam, and we contacted her bank who took the money back. The last part of this scam was when they called her again wanting to know why she had taken the money back. She said, "My niece recognized you for the scammers you are."Then she hung up and that was that.
You know things are serious when the official email address of a bank starts cussing you out.
I love how you keep accusing them of being a small boy, small child, and feeble child 😂 that's so funny
Ever consider picking up with a different account and starting the bait again with the same scammer after they've dropped you?
....for some reason it was the 'beige nozzle' that absolutely floored me.
I love how they eventually just went with the whole 8 hours thing
I've never thought about this but I think that the scammers are just using speech to text for those e-mails. It's weird that it never occurred to me with such mistakes as "fund/phone" etc etc
