Stunning! The first movement reminds me of a transcription of a Bach organ piece (Le savant). The second movement leads into a completely different world. A waltz like a walk in spring... (La Coquette). A virtuoso movement (Polichinelle) is followed by a romantic agitation (Le Rêveur). Finally, a Spanish dance (La Danseuse) leaves us in a festive mood. Great performance by Lugansky and Rudenko 👏🏻
That I didn't know , thanks. I like these performances but there's room for alternative interpretations. 'La Danseuse' has been done with more abandon for instance, 'La Coquette' can be more delectable.

Holy shit that hand throwing 18:08, the end of the last movement. It's damn impressive and just unbelievable.
Spectacular. Thank you.

instablaster.
A beautiful piece that Arensky later orchestrated. I love both versions, especially the one by Svetlanov.
