Griff Rhys Jones played reporter Hildy Johnson and Alun Armstrong portrayed managing editor Walter Burns in this 1997 Donmar Warehouse revival of Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's classic newspaper comedy. The clip is from the Laurence Olivier Awards 1998.

Surprised that the Chicago accents are pretty good... except no Chicagoan would soften the "R's"... as Jones does here, for example, "roostah" instead of "rooster." Brits seem to assume everybody in The States talks either Texan or Brooklynese... of course we Yanks regularly butcher The Queen's, too!
