I absolutely love the way she played the new heather. She seems less mean and angry, more like she’s thrilled to be evil, she’s more creepily happy. I love it
Philip nash there’s jodie steele as heather chandler in the middle, sophie isaacs as heather mcnamara on the right and t’shan williams as heather duke on the left !
I appreciate how the Candy store trio didn't try to be like Jessica, Alice, and Elle. They put their own little vibratos and twists in it to make it their own. The first trio will always be my favorite, but these girls were really good and made it their own spin!
I've asked Carrie and the official Heathers account a few times if there will be one, and I have a feeling since they haven't answered they're trying to keep it a secret ;) and there's some new material, so they'll probably want to record it!
they have separate recordings for matilda and legally blonde and a few other shows, so you never know! plus they’re getting rid of blue and giving heather duke her own song, so they might want to record the new songs!
From what i know they r but i still think it's so stupid they r cutting blue. My school just finished our run of heathers and we were the last location to ever do blue. I hatw the new one it ao much worse
is NOBODY going to comment on candy store and shine a light? because damn the riff in candy store made me the most satisfied person on earth, and while ms. fleming has like kind of a weird vibrato, she has got those PIPES!
I think ms Fleming’s vibrato’s like that because of the way she does it, she moves her jaw to make the sound, so it sounds more pronounced than if you do it just with your voice. She probably did this because she didn’t know how much louder she needed to be than the chorus
I love this JD so much, he totally sells the fact that the character isn't an out and out monster - he's just a kid trying to cope with what's happened to him and failing. The chemistry between him and Veronica is so obvious I cannot wait to see this show!
kickthepheelstickz Unfortunately there are no shows featuring Carrie Hope Fletcher that have bootlegs available. There were a few audios from Chitty and some scenes from Addams in Singapore but the only big piece of video you could find is the War of the Worlds Tour, so I wouldn't get my hopes up :c
If you live nowhere near London I’m sorry, but that’s too bad. Nothing gives you the right to steal from and disrespect the artists by watching a bootleg.
This heather C is really fucking good, like she’s Jessica good! I love the original and didn’t think I’d like the new Heather C as much as I do. Is it just me or does she seem more teenager-like then Jessica was?
Yscaburiu Central yeah, Jessica seems kind of mature. I think it's because of her voice, it's much deeper than this Heather C. or Charissa's (the understudy from the original production) that's why she seems more grown up.
What I love is that this cast seems to be bringing more depth to the characters and really putting their own take on them. JD seems like less of a purely evil sociopath and more of a troubled kid who is lost and trying to figure things out. Veronica seems more naive and and hopeful about the good inside of JD rather than just following him blindly. Heather Chandler strikes me as a lot more threatening in candy store, rather than just flaunting her popularity. The characters have been given more sides to them and I love it. I can’t wait to see what else this cast has in store.
I agree with everything else, but to me the Heather Chandler didn't say it threatening enough. At least that was my opinion, she's supposed to show Veronica who's boss and that she's superior while Veronica is inferior.
I can’t watch the this new cast perform being in not only in America but the furthest side of America from Europe. But I did watch the original the other night on RUclips. And idk, from what I can tell from the soundtrack that was released, it still makes him out to be a evil sociopath.lol. He just starts out as troubled and then spiral very fast. Which I get the same vibe from the movie, but they brought more depth to it in the musical. So I disagree to the degree. I think he still comes off as an evil sociopath. There’s just more background lead up to his final state of mind. And they totally portrayed the sociopath in him in the music towards the end. A more realistic build up.
Let me first clarify that I adore both Barrett and Carrie in this role - and I enjoy that every actor brings something new to a role. So, while I love Barrett, I think Carrie plays this role more emotionally charged than her - and I like that very much. Barrett has a great voice but I feel that she can sometimes sound a little harsh - something I've never noticed with Carrie. Also, I'm just in love with Carrie's voice.
LizBen@ totally agree :) I adore them both aswell. Barret is a more of a bad ass and sassy Veronica whereas Carrie is an emotional Veronica - and I love that.
Emma Janet exactly. I think many people dislike Carrie simply because she puts a different spin on the role... But I'd rather every actor would do their own thing with the role instead of just copying Barrett's interpretation. Which is why I think Carrie's is great
Agreed, Barrett basically killed her voice whenever she performed as Veronica for how much she effort she had to push into her voice as Veronica but Carrie's just seems so effortless I'm in love
The whole cast seems so talented!! Jodie as Heather C may be my favourite actress to play her yet! & Carrie as Veronica... MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. Yes, she plays Veronica slightly different to Barrett, but that was always going to happen. Her voice is insane, and in seventeen she seems almost haunted, which I love😍
Ellie Smile oh of course!! I’m like supper shook at him and highkey crushing xD all I’m saying is that it would be the ultimate RUclips musical if Carrie and thomas Sang this together
Alicia Bruce Doig Candy Store was ridiculously fast 😂 i don't think I'd have enough time to breathe between lines 😂😂 Seventeen and shine a light didn't seem so bad mind 😂
I just got the "and I faked it, every single time" joke in Shine a Light...... Also am I the only one who adores Alex James Hatton, the guy playing the Geek
this JD is perfect!!!! he is acting like your standard awkward teenager, complete with his hands in his jean pockets. not to mention, he's pretty freaking cute!!!
Basket_Casse maybe she went along with the others, but imagine what they would have done to her if she didnt?? They pushed her to suicide. Shine a light reprise is in her head, so heather c could have been there, but wasnt, but heather d was. She had no one left at that point, and if a couple of people not being there was enough to make her hurt herself, shes a cinnamon roll alright.
My eyes have recently been opened that everyone has a different viewpoint on what the term cinnamon roll means, so keep in mind we could very well have different viewpoints! Okay, yes, I do agree partially. However, by others I believe only Heather Chandler. If Mac at any point stepped down or didn’t obey, I think and we know Chandler would call the shots and torment her even worse than Duke would. Duke throughout the story up until Chandler’s death was in no place and in no mindset to even think about harassing Heather McNamara. If Chandler was ruthless enough to torment a member of the Heathers without them doing anything to deserve it, she would be brutal is Mac disobeyed. Even worse to Duke. Think about it, Duke was physically and mentally harassed, suffered mental disorders, clearly made fun of, potentially sexually assaulted, pressured, made fun of for her bulimia, and was treated like shit when nobody stood up for her. All that was happening WHILE she was an obedient member of the Heathers. Chandler simply did it for fun. Simply, Mac AND Duke we’re scared straight. So those arguments used for Mac that she was too scared to back down also apply to Duke for sure. Shit, Duke was scared to even speak freely. I honestly only think Duke lashed out so badly was due to the previous hate and torment she received from Chandler building up and the fact that Mac never stood up for her. added with the newfound power, she just lashed out badly sending Mac into a spiral of despair. Mac was already vulnerable seeing as three of her closest friends passed away. Duke was just angry, and she was an inexperienced, bad leader. To sum this all up, Duke and Mac are both problematic characters. They’re both struggling, they were both scared to disobey, they both could be considered a cinnamon roll with that mindset. (Oof sorry for the long comment!!)
That all makes sense, thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive comment, as now I have a different way of looking at things which is always fun!! :)
I love how heather C is wearing red (her top and shoes) heather M is wearing yellow (her blazer) and I couldn’t see green on the last heather but idk 😊
It took about one second for me to fall in love with the actress playing Veronica. It took even less time for me to fall in love with the person playing JD
EVERYONE IS SO GOOD. MY LOVE FOR THIS IS GOD. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. THEIR VOICES ARE SWEETER THAN ALL THE SWEETS IN A CANDY STORE. *dies from fangirling too much* i'M nOw A dEAd GiRL wALkInG.
I'm always comparing Veronica's and JD's with Barrett and Dan (yes, NOT Ryan) but Carrie and Jamie are unique, they are not even trying to be like the original! Definitely my favorite (together with Barrett and Dan)
Is it bad that whenever i see a Heathers bootleg or they revive it i always wonder how they are going to do dead girl walking. Like it can make or break the show.😂 (ok maybe not make or break it, but it does show how the director views Veronica and Jd’s relationship)
JD: *sings one word*
Me: *dies*
charlotte same!
yUp
The way Jamie looks at Carrie😍
Meeeee!
IDK how it happens but I just always fall for the guys playing carries characters' love interests
The denim is strong with these girls
John W Reddy it's very London 😂
And very 80’s lol😂
@@sharliegirl2 yassssssss
It's an,80s thing hun lol 😂 you should see Sweden lol 🤣
Most Veronicas just never work for me cause I'm always comparing them to barrett wilbert weed but Carrie is amazing
Jenny Hubbard
I'm guilty because I do the same
Jenny Hubbard your not the only one
I think part of it may be because carrie isn't in any way a pale imitation of barrett. She is totally 100 percent Veronica but in her own unique way.
True tbh, my most favorite Veronica will always be Barrett but Carrie is pretty good.
I've actually met Carrie and she was actually singing this while she was in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang after the show
Also can we talk about the guys vocal power but he’s BEARLY EVEN OPENING HIS MOUTH LIKE IM A MUSIC MAJOR AND WHAT
I NOTICED THAT TOO, LIKE HOW
I think he's got a mic hidden behind his teeth as well XD
I'm such a Barrett Wilbert Weed purist but Carrie actually seems amazing in the role
TJ same

TJ me too, Carrie is gonna be awesome!
Triple same
I got chills from seventeen, there is so much raw emotion from both

I absolutely love the way she played the new heather. She seems less mean and angry, more like she’s thrilled to be evil, she’s more creepily happy. I love it
unipunch which one
Is this even in English
the candy store harmonies are so, so beautiful !!!
poppy harnett I love them!
Who plays heather in the middle
that's jodie steele, she plays heather chandler!
ikr😍 4:58
Philip nash there’s jodie steele as heather chandler in the middle, sophie isaacs as heather mcnamara on the right and t’shan williams as heather duke on the left !

Lets face it, most of us want to see Carrie performing Dead Girl Walking 😉
Holly Vlogs yassssss hollyyyyy love your videos love Carrie loads hope I can go see this
guiLTY. Y'all had better enjoy that for the rest of us.
Oof!
Holly Vlogs Yep! :’)
IM GONNA BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS ON THE 13TH JULY
I got he CHILLS from that Seventeen performance
Rebecca Nolasco Oh yes, they're so good! This is by far not my favourite musical, but these guys are absolutely amazing!
aAH this is sO GOOD. i hope to god there will be a cast recording
I've asked Carrie and the official Heathers account a few times if there will be one, and I have a feeling since they haven't answered they're trying to keep it a secret ;) and there's some new material, so they'll probably want to record it!
me too!!
they have separate recordings for matilda and legally blonde and a few other shows, so you never know! plus they’re getting rid of blue and giving heather duke her own song, so they might want to record the new songs!
Abby Gines just because it's not a show on Broadway, that doesn't mean it won't get a cast recording. There are Original London Cast albums
From what i know they r but i still think it's so stupid they r cutting blue. My school just finished our run of heathers and we were the last location to ever do blue. I hatw the new one it ao much worse
is NOBODY going to comment on candy store and shine a light? because damn the riff in candy store made me the most satisfied person on earth, and while ms. fleming has like kind of a weird vibrato, she has got those PIPES!
muffintrashlord I love how she just did the riff and then came back into the melody like it was nothing lol.
I think ms Fleming’s vibrato’s like that because of the way she does it, she moves her jaw to make the sound, so it sounds more pronounced than if you do it just with your voice. She probably did this because she didn’t know how much louder she needed to be than the chorus
I love me some "weird vibrato"!
I love this JD so much, he totally sells the fact that the character isn't an out and out monster - he's just a kid trying to cope with what's happened to him and failing. The chemistry between him and Veronica is so obvious I cannot wait to see this show!
PressKew JD is a terrible person and I hate how they try to romantize him
he's just a kid trying to cope...?? jeeesus
He's actually a psychopath.
he's a psychopath that's a compulsive liar and manipulator
In 17 it’s supposed to be that he is just saying what she wants to hear. And repeating her words without meaning.
I really hope we get some sort of bootleg from this. I'd hate to miss seeing it but I live nowhere near London.
kickthepheelstickz Unfortunately there are no shows featuring Carrie Hope Fletcher that have bootlegs available. There were a few audios from Chitty and some scenes from Addams in Singapore but the only big piece of video you could find is the War of the Worlds Tour, so I wouldn't get my hopes up :c
I’m seeing it and I live in Liverpool
If you live nowhere near London I’m sorry, but that’s too bad. Nothing gives you the right to steal from and disrespect the artists by watching a bootleg.
Maddy Gowers calm down im sure most decent artists would rather people actually got to see them
Maddy Gowers shut up nerd
This heather C is really fucking good, like she’s Jessica good! I love the original and didn’t think I’d like the new Heather C as much as I do. Is it just me or does she seem more teenager-like then Jessica was?
Yscaburiu Central yeah, Jessica seems kind of mature. I think it's because of her voice, it's much deeper than this Heather C. or Charissa's (the understudy from the original production) that's why she seems more grown up.
It's the denim
Well Jodi Steele actually played elphaba on the wicked international tour as an alternate...

Now here Heather McNamara blended sooo much better than the preview. It sounded SOO GOOD. ALLL THE SONGS SOUND AMAZING.
I like how you can hear her accent at 5:21
Ok but is no one going to acknowledge how AMAZING mrs. Fleming was???
I legit. My jaw hit the floor
Her energy alone was fan freaking tastic!!!! Not to mention those stellar pipes.
Angelica Schuyler yes! And great username ❤️
I lost it she was amazing
Her vibe was just ugh I cannot too good
THEIR AMERICAN ACCENTS ARE ACTUALLY BELIEVABLE
Apart from when HC says "shut up heather" ...never heard it be so British
S J ikr :O
ellen avenger shuT UP HETHA
@@girlsdemo that's true, but in the bootleg I heard, it sounded like Jodie had perfected that.
What I love is that this cast seems to be bringing more depth to the characters and really putting their own take on them. The Heathers voices blend so well together I feel like I’m dying
I know everyone is talking about Carrie and Jamie (J.D) but oh my god Mrs Fleming was literally perfect! Brought so much to the role, I loved her!
Still so blown away by this show! Was so incredible
THE HEATHERS' BLEND THOUGH
JD breathed and I became a puddle i adore his voice also Heather Chandler is SO GOOD HER VOICE IS SO PERFECT FOR THE RANGE
Such a talented cast!!! I can tell this is going to be a HIT!!!
Is anyone else really bothered by the description saying "Dear Diary, Love Heather"? It's VERONICA who writes in her diary...
Yep, I thought no one else noticed
thank u
Why cant heather have a diary too?
Pretty girls have feelings too. Lol
Let me first clarify that I adore both Barrett and Carrie in this role - and I enjoy that every actor brings something new to a role.

I saw the tour a year ago and I can't remember the girl's name but she did a great job at making the role her own
Agreed, Barrett basically killed her voice whenever she performed as Veronica for how much she effort she had to push into her voice as Veronica but Carrie's just seems so effortless I'm in love
I hate barretts "TONIIIIGHT" in 17, because she is so much louder than Ryan was and I couldn't hear the harmony
I actually cannot handle JD’s lil smiles
The actress playing the teacher is hilarious
That is Rebecca lock hilarious actor!
Absolutely... breathtaking
Seventeen - I died of awe
Candy store - I died of amazement
Last song - I died of happiness
*_fINE_*
YES candy store sounds so much better than the sneak peek I’m so happy
JD's smile is everything. He sounds so sweet on seventeen. Can't wait for his breakdown in act three
im so happy that jodie steele is getting so much love!!!! finally getting the recognition she deserves
man who is the guy who plays JD?? He's SO GOOD

Man I really love this JD. He has the look and the voice. Perfect casting
Nothing seems forced here and I think I've found my favorite cast.
JD sounds the most like the original JD out of every other JD I’ve heard and I’m very happy about that
Omg I love the actors playing JD and Veronica!! They have such beautiful voices!!
AMAZING cast I am floored by every person's talent! I adore Heather C.
Best Chandler i’ve seen since Jessica in terms of vocals.
Carrie got a haircut!
I THOUGHT THAT TOO
For this veronica they decided to have short blond curly hair i kinda like the change
yah she donated it i think too
6:00 *Without context, this just looks like the local Christian rock group got together for an afternoon sing along*
oh my godddd i love this cast so much, especially jamie (jd) and jodie (heather c)! i really wish i could have seen this show
Forget Veronica. I’m living for Jodie Steele SLAAAAAY

YESSSSSSSSS

*_EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THIS CAST IS A FUCKING BLESSING, PERIOD._*
I love T’shan and Jodie’s candy store riff so much ❤️💚💛💙🖤
This cast is extremely talented.
Jodie Steele is everything I’ve wanted a heather chandler to be vocally😍
I honestly wish that I could go to London this summer to see Heathers
The whole cast seems so talented!! Jodie as Heather C may be my favourite actress to play her yet! & Carrie as Veronica... MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. Yes, she plays Veronica slightly different to Barrett, but that was always going to happen. Her voice is insane, and in seventeen she seems almost haunted, which I love😍
THE PIANIST IS SO TALANTED AHHHHH
I CAME AS SOON AS I HEARD. AND IM SATISFIED. THEY BLEW... US ALL AWAY
dumb crap supreme wRonG MusICaL (Ik this comment is a year late but idc)
I love how Larry’s playing the piano for them too 🤗
i find it adorable how the girl in the yellow jacket at 4:10 did the loser finger sign backwards
I’m in love with this JD and Carrie during seventeen! The voices by theirselves and the harmonies are amazing and done so flawlessly! Go Carrie!
I’m in love with Jamie. He’s an angel how can one person be so beautiful
Already my fave heather c 😻

Please say this goes on a UK tour after a stay in London! I need to see Carrie as Veronica but I live on the other side of the country! She's SO GOOD
Kelly Jelly Music at least you live in UK, I have to travel across the EU to see this (and I'm certainly gonna do this)
and I would have to travel across the world to be able to see it! brazilian problems
Wow JD's acting is truly incredible
Now all I can think of is Carrie and Veronica and Thomas Sanders as JD
Mariana 01 THEY NEED TO SING SEVENTEEN TOGETHER
Mariana 01 Yes! But you have to admit this JD's voice is amazing!!
Ellie Smile HIS VOICE IS BEAUTIFUL
Ellie Smile oh of course!! I’m like supper shook at him and highkey crushing xD all I’m saying is that it would be the ultimate RUclips musical if Carrie and thomas Sang this together
Is it just me or were both songs done really fast?
Alicia Bruce Doig Candy Store was ridiculously fast 😂 i don't think I'd have enough time to breathe between lines 😂😂 Seventeen and shine a light didn't seem so bad mind 😂
Yep very fast
I just got the "and I faked it, every single time" joke in Shine a Light......
Also am I the only one who adores Alex James Hatton, the guy playing the Geek
i LOVE Heather Chandler in this rendition
Dare I say it... Jodie Steele may be the best Heather C. yet!
Caitlin Williams she’s definitely up to par with Jessica or maybe better ahah
Caitlin Williams you’re not wrong
She has that confidence
I saw her live and yup, best heather Chandler ever (a lot of this cast are the best I’ve ever seen play the characters)
Caitlin Williams she’s definitely as good as Jessica!
5:21 Heather C's british came out whoops LOVE HER THO AAAA
i'm officially in love with the girl who plays heather chandler omg
this JD is perfect!!!! he is acting like your standard awkward teenager, complete with his hands in his jean pockets. not to mention, he's pretty freaking cute!!!
Im hoping their Heather Mac is also gonna be a cinammon roll
Pumpkin Seed but an equally mean girl
Friendly reminder that in no way Mac is a cinnamon roll

That all makes sense, thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive comment, as now I have a different way of looking at things which is always fun!! :)
WOW I’M SCREAMING CANDY STORE WAS SO GOOD
i’m IN LOVE with this cast! they’re all so talented and perform well together! i wish i could see this live!
Okay... but Heather Duke's voice ♥️
Goosebumps!! Great choice for Veronica, she gave me chills!!
I love how heather C is wearing red (her top and shoes) heather M is wearing yellow (her blazer) and I couldn’t see green on the last heather but idk 😊
I think she was wearing a green shirt, I thought I saw it at the very end of the song
+sicily-brillant you can see her green top when Heather tells her to shut up

JD and Veronica sound so good together I’m pissing myself
Now it’s announced it’s closing, I have come back to the old videos and reliving the old memories. GOD I LOVE HEATHERS SO MUCH 😭😭😭
How does Jamie Muscato produce so much noise with such ease xD I'm slightly jealous
I am so so so excited to be seeing the opening tomorrow night. They all sound so amazing😍😍
