People forget that Ms. Ross blazed the trail. She was the first Black entertainer, as a solo artist, to play the same venues as White superstars and to charge the same (or higher) fees. I have heard many Black (especially female) artists acknowledge her accomplishment. If she had failed or if her shows had been lackluster, someone else would have had to blaze the trail. But, she was proud and happy to do it, and she did it like no one else could so. Her live shows are the best!

"The Andantes", they were like the "Funk Brothers" were as the "go to" musicians for motown. "The Andantes", were the "all girl group" vocalists for Ashford & Simpson's songs, including Dians Ross' version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", they also sang with "Martha Reeves & The Vandellas", and many others. My friend pointed it out to me long ago. And I saw it and heard it right away. Diana Ross is pretty much just the spoken word part, and some background harmonies on "Ain't No Mountain High Enough"...

I 1st heard this song in the late summer of '70, as I & a friend were hitch-hiking from Denver to SoCal. It was while we were hitching a ride that took us to San Bernardino CA, at 3AM on old US40/ Route 66, that "KOMA in Oklahoma",played this masterpiece; transfixed, all there was at that moment was Diana & her soaring voice, singing " a musical, " Mona Lisa". This is September 3. 2022 2.12 am it's way past my bed time and I can't stop listening to this song. as a child I have been listening to miss Ross her songs brought me love and comfort, when it rains they often plays her songs especially, some day we will be together, I always sit at the window staring at the rain drops crying , wishing my mom would returned home.. I was only age 7 when she left looking for a better life aboard. She Returned twelve years later, time passes so quickly it wasn't the same, looking back her songs did me good,, I'll always love and cherish her beautiful songs. ❤

But ...... this IS my favorite song of all time that she has performed: Don't You Know (I think that's the Title), Muscles, I'm Coming Out, ... even 'Take Me Higher' (1995) i find myself enjoying. But this cover that she performed back in the day is still very powerful and influential. And whoever did this remix has some mad skills. Keep up the good work

I 1st heard this song in the late summer of '70, as I & a friend were hitch-hiking from Denver to SoCal. It was while we were hitching a ride that took us to San Bernardino CA, at 3AM on old US40/ Route 66, that "KOMA in Oklahoma",played this masterpiece; transfixed, all there was at that moment was Diana & her soaring voice, singing " a musical, " Mona Lisa". This is September 3. 2022 2.12 am it's way past my bed time and I can't stop listening to this song. as a child I have been listening to miss Ross her songs brought me love and comfort, when it rains they often plays her songs especially, some day we will be together, I always sit at the window staring at the rain drops crying , wishing my mom would returned home.. I was only age 7 when she left looking for a better life aboard. She Returned twelve years later, time passes so quickly it wasn't the same, looking back her songs did me good,, I'll always love and cherish her beautiful songs. ❤

I sang ain't no mountain high enough to my daughter from birth thru 6yrs old . Always loved both versions, the original by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell AND Diana Ross & Supremes version. Just recently discovered this version of the song and I must say it is my favorite absolutely lovely.

But ...... this IS my favorite song of all time that she has performed: Don't You Know (I think that's the Title), Muscles, I'm Coming Out, ... even 'Take Me Higher' (1995) i find myself enjoying. But this cover that she performed back in the day is still very powerful and influential. And whoever did this remix has some mad skills. Keep up the good work
