I was lucky enough to be a guest twice and spend the entire day in this Mansion formerly owned by Tom Mower & family. It is magnificent & a beautiful sight to behold!

You could buy two normal size homes for what the light bill would be! Thanks for sharing!🥰

No thanks, the strings attached to anyone in this price range is too dear. A humble and safe home can bring peace within, which is priceless.

The house is very bright and beautiful inside. I love the wrap around porch and swing. I'm very surprised, though, that a house that big isn't more kid friendly considering at the very least, a family of 7 should live there. Where's the outdoor playground for kids? One indoor playroom with a pirate ship and a slide going down into a ball pit is kind of boring IMO. Kids should have a mini imaginary world inside to play in. The pool, gym and bowling alley seem geared more towards children aged 10 and up.
And, speaking of children, I'm surprised the sellers didn't mention schools in the area and how kids would get there (ie is there bus service?). I'm also surprised the video didn't cover a brief history of the house (ie who's owned it in the past etc.) And as pretty as the house is, I found it interesting that there wasn't a flower garden around the house.
Even if I had money for something like this, which I definitely don't, I wouldn't want to live in a place that big unless I had several children to fill it with. It seems like many of the wealthy people who buy places like this either don't have children or only have one or two. That's a lot of wasted space IMO.

The wildlife would eat most any flowers/plants you plant outside .
The children have 150 acres to explore. That could be a scary backyard. Lol.
The kids might have a nanny, or tutor. If the bus couldn’t get them, if they had teenagers, they’d drive themselves in their Tesla. Since the video was mostly for the general public’s entertainment the specifics, like schools, would be somewhere.
Don’t worry about cleaning it because you’d need a maid or a cleaning service, a pool service, and a wad of money for taxes, electricity, etc

They probably have mega friends that can crash there now that the owners have a couple of spare rooms if they don’t have that many children.
When does a house get too big to be a home?

@@kathleencarrington9996 I used to work for Tom Mower, the previous owner, and spent quite a lot of time up here.
Yes, scary backyard is an understatement. I ran into deer and elk herds all the time and never saw much more wildlife than that, but Tom and various guests were known to spot bears in and around the property on a fairly frequent basis.
The bus actually 100% travels up to the end of left-fork Hobble Creek Canyon where the house is. While it's secluded up there, it's maybe not as secluded as you'd think and the house does have neighbors. Since properties up there are generally large and often located up windy roads that may or may not be paved, I noticed that a lot of kids will drive ATVs down to the main road where the bus picks up and leave them parked there while they're at school for the day. If you lived at the mansion here, kids would just need to make it down the 0.25 mile paved driveway and they're basically at the school bus stop. All the schools are in the main part of Springville about 20-25 minutes away.
I don't remember what the cleaning costs were and I never saw any of the bills for the pool services but if I remember correctly, it was at least $10k per month just to keep the pool heated and running (it was off a lot for this reason) and the utilities overall were somewhere in the ballpark of $50k per month. Obviously a lot of that depended on how much the house was being used at any given time. Taxes, I'm sure, are nuts on the place.
