Nice video very nice.We often sit on that steel bridge and make a coffee and have a snack while we are taking the dogs for a walk ,then down the Byway turn around and walk back to Felsted. The Saffron way is just around the corner from that bridge, that’s a brilliant walk.
Nice video Tom, I worked in Braintree on the end of the old track by the station, before the Flitch Way was even thought of. Looking forward to the Peddars Way video.
Nice one Tom I'm sure you know that the Peddars Way goes through the Brecklands the driest place in UK so plenty of water a must this time of year. Keep the vid's coming
cheers mate, ahh nice one, theyre good for the money, bit bulky but bombproof! only bivvy i would trust on its own in the rain. gonna sell mine though as i dont use it and i have 3 other lighter bivvies.
Hi Tom, Have you considered exploring the chalk tunnels in Norwich? Would make a fascinating video. Just watched your video of the radar towers at Bawdsey; cracking stuff. Visited bawdsey many times when I was a child, along with East Lane just a few miles away. The Marriotts Way in Norwich is a decent walk, similar origins to the Flitch Way and a great way to get out in the countryside. You now have another subscriber.
Cool video, epic camp location, really enjoyed watching. I do have one thing to say with regards to long distance walking... Humankind invented the wheel for a reason lol just saying!
Hi Tom. We enjoy your vlogs, especially as a fair number them feature our neck of the woods, NW Kent...Shornemead Fort, Egypt Bay, Cliffe, etc. Anyway, we were interested to hear that you are doing Peddars Way. Have you seen Simon, Bloke In The Woods' video of his trip there? The big take-away point was the need to carry a lot of water as there are few sources on the latter stages. Take care and go well.
I only live 2 miles from Takeley station never have gone further than 3 miles on flitch way, you have me thinking of a bike trip to explore it the full distance to Braintree, not sure if I want to thank you or damn you 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Another enjoyable video thanks Tom
nice find and a great addition to the oddball locations you've camped! have you thought about putting your place up on airBnB as you're hardly there haha! have fun on the peddlers ATB
