@@G0ddEityawesome That is not true sir. The BMW twin turbo v8 engine is a more reliable then the BMW Vanos 5.0 V10 engine. The previous V10 engine has a serious push rod design flaw which is why BMW discontinued it. Has nothing to do with emissions and there is no emision laws for V10s in sedan especially when we're still also using V12s also in sedans.

@@hippievogelei I don't believe that that was the reason for the M2, the M2 was made as a true enthusiast/driver's car. It is more balanced at the price of less power and because of that less speed. The M5 was built as a go-fast bullet. Two different missions.
Mr Hippie right but you were talking about a 1 or 2 series, not the M3. So you were making the comparison between those two models (the 2 Series and E39 M5) and I wanted to say that the M2 wasn’t made to be super fast in a straight line, it’s supposed to be agile. Honestly it might be an even better enthusiast car than the new M3/M4. The E9X M3 yes was an enthusiast car but that was before the M2 came out.

Mr Hippie woah woah woah that is definitely inaccurate. There are many people who would take an M2 Competition over an M3/M4 and I know people who have. The new 7 Series now looks ugly so I would take an M2 over that, and you know, the M2 has a lot more bang for the money as it costs a fraction of an M5.
This one sounds beautiful but the normal one's don't sound like this at all.

You are wrong. Its M Performance exhaust with a decat. With an performance exhaust the muffler is in the middle of the two sets of duel tips.

I'm still peeved that BMW sold out to money and called this an 8 series when there is no V12 option. This is really an all-new 6 series and the 8 series should have been midengine at the very least.
That being said, it sounds good.

Whether it’s Ferrari, Porsche, Benz, BMW, Aston or, whatever... these new turbo engines do not sound nearly as good as their naturally aspirated predecessors that many of us have been used to. Eventually there will be no more engine sounds at all so, it really does not matter.

I like lift-off pops and bang, but i strongly dislike upshift farts. Can you just get rid of upshift-farts. This is a BMW M8 not a Golf Gti.

Honestly when you're driving a V8 car that does it (RS5), it's pretty fun.

you don’t only buy m8 for the horsepower ! it looks way better/handle better and you can have 2wd and awd at the same time rather than having only one option

I just understood the reason why the M8 looks suck. In the front area, the upper part of the car is wider than the lower part. Instant dissappointment.
It's straight piped by the way so yeah, no production car will sound like that. Sounds pretty underwhelming to say the least.
