Euterpe (from the Greek language: "Delight") is the insert song, that plays at the beginning of the first episode in Guilty Crown. Upon hearing it for the first time, I knew that this piece would make a great piano cover, but the full version was not released yet.
I extended the original track by repeating the main melody in a different variation each time and extended it to almost three times the length of the original song.
I was under a lot of stress back then, because I couldn't arrange My Dearest (Guilty Crown OP1) as the way I have imagined it in my head, since I didn't have enough arranging experience yet. This might explain the dramatic finale part at the end of this piano cover, where I was letting out all my bottled up emotions.
It is also the first arrangements where I am utilizing the three-hand-technique (starting in 2:32): the left hand is playing the melody and the bass, while the right hand is playing an accompaniment.
Thinking back, it's one of the prototypes for my future "orchestral" arrangement style and an important personal milestone.

Guilty Crown... Without a doubt, has one of the best sound tracks of all time and an amazing art style in my opinion. The characters are interesting, the animators pay attention to small details which help the scene come to life, the landscapes are well drawn, the characters are at the very least interesting, the plot can be confusing but is very much enjoyable and well... It's just generally an amazing series. Hearing this track again makes me remember it and thus I am happy. ^_^

Guilty crown was not at all perfect but indeed the music was
exactly, there were a few plot holes but the music came directly from heaven, however the story had a fresh way to be developed, i mean, i haven't seen such things in any other anime, the closest would be deadman wonderland or mirai nikki (were the main protagonists are a bit useless at the beginning, but thats the end of the coincidences)

I wasn't into anime/manga lately, but when I was down and bored by life and all, I devoured sites that lead me into this work of art. Damn, animes should not be looked down by many people. They should realize how it is relevant and not only for kids and immature, but more than that, it is an art imposing minds and souls of people in different levels of perspective.

+Dat Huynh OK, long comment incoming, but I'm gonna tell you a theory that can hopefully make you feel happier about this anime's ending and love it even more than you ever have! Although it wasn't specifically stated, it can be heavily proven that Inori did not actually die and the ending was, rather, a very happy ending. First let's start off with how the series ended. It ended off with Shu and Inori hugging. Many think that this is simply Shu's imagination, because he can't forget about Inori since she's "dead." HOWEVER, I'm going to prove right now that Inori is not dead, but she really lives inside Shu's body. If you can still remember, when Inori sacrificed herself, she gave Shu the red strings that she showed him in the beginning of the anime. Right after she gave those strings, Inori sacrificed her body and she took all of the virus. There's something very significant about these red strings. These red strings actually represent life in this anime. If those red strings are cut, the soul officially dies. Sounds weird huh? Well if you remember, around episode 9, Shu met Jun (Yahiro's brother) in a "mysterious place" where apparently souls can meet each other. Jun's soul has red strings surrounding him in this place. This is where Shu learns that Jun wants to die, and he proceeds to cut those red strings, causing Jun to die right there. In addition, when Shu killed Segai, he used yahiro's void again to go straight for the red strings in segai's body, which he cut, causing segai to die. So...was it ever shown that Inori's red strings got cut? No! She gave them to Shu, and this is why Shu got blind just like Inori did.. because Shu absorbed Inori's soul in return for Inori sacrificing her body to take the virus and kill it once and for all. Now then, at the end of the anime when Shu was hugging Inori, that's actually in the "mysterious place" where souls can meet. In short, Shu is the only person who can see Inori since they both live together in one body. Not to mention that Shu was not even sad in the end of the anime, rather, he was smiling. If he changed his WHOLE personality cuz Hare died, he'd surely kill himself if Inori died. But nope, they live happily ever after. The end :) Share this with your friends who are still sad about Guilty Crown's ending :]

Don't give up! I thought the exact same thing, but I tried this version anyways. I gave this piece my all, and after many many hours of practicing, I performed this piece in my recital two weeks ago. You can do it! You just have to believe you can.

I find there's a limit to how fast I can play if my hands are tense. It's tricky to relax while playing difficult music, but doable with practice.

Not my favorite anime. I'm just going to be honest and say that. But the soundtrack of GC made it so much more tragic at times, while at others so much more epic. It is a soundtrack unparalleled-- unmatched, by any other soundtrack. One of the best things of the anime. You do true justice to this soundtrack. Your piano skills and interpretation are unmatched as well. In short, this is amazing. You forever have my respect. V.V

Frankly, I didn’t like Guilty Crown. While I did end up watching the entire series anyway, I still particularly disliked the MC. But if there’s one thing good about the anime, it was the music. (Personal opinion, no offence to anyone)
