Great video again guys! Olight Array 2s head torch, best I've used, I've got bigger a brighter olight head torch, but the Array is the perfect torch for this sort of work, works mint at night on the boat pulling nets when we go freshwater Cray fishing in Victoria. Nice broad flood and good distance, I've had multiple Led Lenser and petzl, never again, waist of money.
Check eBay for a USB rechargeable torch. Look for the one which says 90000000 lumens, about $10-20 They’re definitely not as bright as advertisement says but are super bright. They’re black with red buttons. The $20 ones actually have a safety cover over the buttons and are a bit better than the ones for $10 without the cover. The charger cord stores well inside the body of the torch so you always have it when you need it. Robbie uses an Olight but they’re expensive. Great vid guys!
What a brilliant idea trying all the different baits 🔥👌👍🤙 amazing underwater shots . Black crabs haha vegemite 1 lol ninja turtles haha don’t know what you’re doing lol awesome video legends 👍
Best bait is tin cat food preferably sardines or anything with fish in it couple of spoon fulls mixed with chicken pellets in a stocking works a treat best thing is to let it soak a bit longer than what you guys are pulling them also best torch to use is the dolphin brand
Between 5am-8am is the best time as this is when the big ones are on the bite. During the night is when the majority of the smaller marron come out as there is less chance of their predators seeing them. Good luck for the rest of the season 🤙🤙
I can't wait for this late spring I'm all geared up for crayfish on the BBQ I live in the state of Washington in the United States there's no license fees and a few rules games on I've already bought my traps and I'm ready to go
Great content as usual lads! Nitecore NU32 550 Lumen USB rechargeable head torch is my go to. Super bright, no bulky battery pack and lasts ages between charges.
Best bait, if you have a mate with a rifle is a bird... parrot, pidgeon ect. We got 22 the other night from 2 birds put 11 females back and kept the males. For a light you really can't go past olight. I run them as both hand held torches and on the bangsticks and have never had an issue at all, waterproof, and outshine pretty much all others for the size. Hell my key chain olight torch is better than alot of store bought options haha
Cheers mate 😊 we just do limited releases at the moment and they sell out pretty quick but should have been stuff out end of this week/ early next week! Post most of it on out Instagram @bushrats 😊🤟🏾
I dropped a snagger in the water once, few minutes later a marron was dragging it away. Do you ever dive for them? are you allowed to, haven't read anywhere that says ya can't
@@dalesprague4333 I know you are not allowed to transport nets by boat or drop from one, but nowhere does it say you cant catch marron by hand, maybe its in the fine print
Yea it's the leaflet thingy Boats and diving Snorkelling or using compressed air to catch marron is prohibited. Fishing for marron from a boat (including canoes) is also illegal. You may only transport marron by boat if you have fished an area not accessible by vehicle and caught the marron from the land using a snare pole. Fishers may transport scoop nets or drop nets only on the Donnelly River downstream of the boat landing. This privilege will be revoked if abused. Fishing from a boat is still illegal.
@@dalesprague4333 yep, after a quick look it does say no snorkelling/diving, it pays to read all the pamphlet, but in saying that I have seen on TV on one of these travel shows where they were filming a marron segment wading in the water catching them by hand, my understanding now is that is illegal as you can only catch by 3 methods, net/snare/scoop. I'll stick to the blue manna's
I’ve found last nights roast chook carcass does best for the marron, crays, yabs and shrimp As for the light situation can personally vouch for the olight brand. I’ve got the prun 2 head light/ warrior X torch and they are second to none. The warrior X lights up the other side of my local lake with ease
What happened to the old dolphin torch? Think they do a l e d one nowadays 🤟mossy oak do a good torch 🔦 aswell ! Keep trying lads I’m sure they will be around somewhere maybe a square river. 👍🥔🇦🇺
