Hegel did a lot of homework. This presentation is quite popular. Given the features and sound, they’ve been extremely popular as of recent. True value in price/performance ratio. If you want a set and forget system, it’s worth a consideration. I have a H390 but evaluating Gryphon right now to scratch an itch. Thanks for the vid jay.
Wow! These mini monitors sound great. Less drivers, less crossover interference, and just a more coherent presentation. Great mids, plus the overall balance is spot on; and the overall quick and fast pace of this speaker is nice. It doesn’t have the wide open presentation as the Magico M6 speakers, but it has a more immediate and forward sound. I like it! Hey Jay, have you listened to Von Schweikert speakers? I think you’d like them a lot, especially with your Pass Amps, that is, if you still have them. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Should try Ktema, Franco Serblin is trully legendary speaker design......should be comparable with your M6 Magico....I' ve never heard good bass from Magico and the mid range is too accurate leading to un musical / sound weird to me at all....in just my opinion 🙏🙏🙏....I still don' t under stand why Magico / Alan Wolf keep using XOver design with 24db/ octave......if it can not be achieve by the most 12db/ octave.....as a big manufacturing why don't they just change the driver !!!....and with the metal sealed box ... for me it really power hungry and it doesn' t make sense to me at all......Most of Magico user still adding subwoofer to get reasonable bass.....it sound weird to me.....
Great video, maybe it’s just me but at Suncoast the vids seem less blurred and greater depth, always enjoy Franco, S speakers :the Ktema is a fascinating speaker
I heard them with a full Esoteric setup at a show, it was one of the best rooms in the show for sure. Towards the end of the show the exhibitor had Pink Floyd's The Wall playing through the system... never heard it sound better in my life.
@@silviosarunic3234 o.k., thanks. He was the founder of SF. But he died in 2013...so is this a homage for him built by SF? BTW: never been a fan of Sonus Faber soundwise...although they mostly look nice and cosy.
I still don't see (or hear) the value of RUclips audio demos, but Hegel continues to impress the RUclips reviewers. They are gaining positive brand recognition in the integrated amp space.
@@Andrew_from_Oz_Vinyl_Landscape Accurately replicating the sound of someone's HiFi system over the internet, through miles of cable, through RUclips compression is mathematically impossible.
Byron, that is correct you cannot hear the actual quality of the sound but it is useful on youtube when you can hear A/B comparisons of different components or speakers in the same room with same mic. At that point you still cannot tell the level of quality A/B or which is higher quality but you can hear differences being projected ie cooler, warmer, analytical bass impact etc
What a great demonstration that the right small speakers and integrated amp can really deliver a high end audiophile experience. Very impressed!
Very engaging system, one of the best to come out of Jay's Audio Lab via you tube....
Glad you think so!

Please feel free to comment on the two when you've listened to the Gryphon!
i had hegel and traded it in on gryphon Theres no contest the gryphon spanks hegel
I went off to gryphon after Hegel. Gryphon > Hegel. But now went to high efficiency drivers and don’t need big SS anymore.
Very engaging sound!👌🎼🔊
I love the looks and sound of the Accordo. Paired with a Jadis i35 it was sweet. Very sweet.
Sweet in a positive way…or in the sense of TOO sweet (sweeter than life so to speak) ?
@@bikemike1118 … in a positive way. Not over sweet. It’s nice.

Cool that those Franco Serblin have the crossover built into the stand.
I have the 390 with the Dynaudio Heritage Special. End game system for me
Same here, the HS are still breaking in, but the combo is beguiling. 👍
Using Tidal and Airplay. Waiting for Roon Ready.

Does it reach the level of the Sonus Faber Guarnerri tradition.

WOW---ästhetisch und phänomenaler Klang
The second song is Six String Down by Hans Theessink.

I suspect that it has to do with the front wall diffusion treatments.
@@joelb.3714 interesting point Jay should think about
Sounds great for bookshelves
Very good piece!
Many thanks!
Very nice setup, it is very musical and engaging. The voice has weight and body and sounds just natural
Great sound demo🤗👍❤️ A one of best sound demos I've heard via RUclips👌👌👌
Please, could you tell what are cables you used in this demo, thx🤗🤔👀
I’d love to hear that amp with some larger speakers, see what it can do scale wise.
they sound very nice on my speakers...is that because of the quality of yr mic ?
These seemed fuller sounding than the other two speakers at the store.
Hi.
Nice demo! I have a mastersound gemini 2x25w valve amp. Do you think i could drive those speakers with this amp?
Thanks.
B.
Brilliant
What is that first song playing?
Dire Straits - Iron Hand
@@JasonDominus thank you I appreciate it
Does anyone know who sings the 2nd song? I know it is Six Strings Down but could not find anywhere on the net who sings this version...
Beautiful setup!
I wonder what mic is being used to record this
近々買います。美しい!
is there a separate dac being used or is it the Hegel's internal?
Curious about this, too...
It would be nice to hear Francos' floor standers. These are very good.

great speakers
Love it
Wow impressive little speakers with Big sound
Nice diffusers
must be vicoustics
What is the brand of the diffusers
GIK
Nice for something this small but obviously dynamics still suffer compared to something with 12 inch woofer
Yes, and as much as some people like two-way speakers...it is always a compromise
Hegel, Incredible value for the money.
Sonus wasn't the same after serblin left.
It’s often that way. Same with Krell after Dan left …
Franko Serblin ....brands exist out there I‘ve never even heard of 🤓.
But sounds like good value for money (not knowing how much they really are...).
Have you heard for Sonus Faber..?
Then google who he is...

I respect SF, but i love IRS infinity and Gryphon speakers and amps... and of course .. Lamm
Great sound..
What is the name of the second song, please?
Six Strings Down, not sure who sings it though, does anyone else know? I am an awe with the vocal

Could Jay be satisfied with a more warm / musical speaker??
No, I think he likes a more analytical/dry presentation

It may be there is no point, or the system/S your listening with don’t allow you to hear the point ? !

mid-heavy. low end missing. nothing special. treble okey.
Not a fan. The sound is too overly midrange (bet a graph would show it); no bass, rolled off highs.
